Turner went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Wednesday's 5-1 win against the Rockies.

Turner didn't start in any of the Phillies' previous three games while dealing with back spasms, though he was able to pinch run Monday. That appearance served as a precursor to his return to the lineup and to the field Wednesday, and the veteran shortstop showed no ill effects from the back issue, as he tallied three hits -- including an RBI single in the seventh inning. Turner has reached base safely in five of his first 11 plate appearance to begin the campaign.

Freeland (0-1) allowed three runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 6.2 innings in a loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Freeland pitched well for the second straight outing, but he got very little run support as Zack Wheeler consistently stifled Colorado's hitters. Though he was tagged with the loss, Freeland notched his second quality start while giving up only one extra-base hit (a double) among the nine knocks against him. The veteran lefty has yielded just three runs across 12.2 frames while posting a 10:0 K:BB over his first two starts of the season. Freeland's home park and mediocre numbers in recent campaigns are valid reasons for fantasy managers to question whether he's worth a pickup, however.

Wheeler (1-0) earned the win over Colorado on Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over seven innings.

Wheeler racked up an outstanding 25 whiffs in the outing, the most swings-and-misses he has ever tallied in an MLB game. He held Colorado scoreless until the seventh inning, when Hunter Goodman tagged him for a solo homer that accounted for the Rockies' only run of the contest. Wheeler is off to a fantastic beginning to 2025, allowing just two runs over 13 frames while posting an 18:2 K:BB across two starts. He finished second in NL Cy Young Award voting two of the past four years and could be a contender for the honor again this season given how he's kicked off the campaign.

Pham went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base Wednesday against the Rays.

Pham has started six of Pittsburgh's seven games, all of which have come in left field. Despite logging only two hits across 23 at-bats, he has primarily hit first or third in the lineup. Pham has also benefited from the team's aggressiveness on the basepaths, tallying three stolen bases in as many tries.

Arraez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Guardians.

After an uncharacteristic 0-for-16 start from the three-time batting champion, Arraez has begun to look like his regular self with hits in three consecutive games. Wednesday's contest also saw the 27-year-old belt his first home run of the season, though fantasy managers shouldn't expect many more long balls from him after he finished 2024 with just four homers.

Suarez struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to record his third save of the year in Wednesday's 5-2 win against the Guardians.

Suarez's start to the regular season has made his disastrous spring training feel like a distant memory. He's now converted all three of his save opportunities while striking out four batters and allowing just one man to reach base via a walk. The 34-year-old remains one of the most reliable relievers in the game and doesn't appear to be at risk of losing his hold on the Padres' closer job.

Cease (1-0) earned the win Wednesday against Cleveland, surrendering one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters across 6.1 innings.

Cease took a shutout into the seventh inning but was pulled after a Lane Thomas groundout plated a run for the Guardians. Cease's dominant showing, combined with a four-run third inning from the Padres' offense, allowed the 29-year-old righty to take home his first win of the new season fairly comfortably. He'll look to stay hot next week when he faces the Athletics on the road.

Doval earned the save in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Astros, pitching a scoreless inning with no strikeouts.

Doval induced three consecutive outs in just 10 pitches during the ninth frame, securing his second save in three appearances this season. The right-hander has yet to allow a hit across three innings in the 2025 campaign, recording a strikeout and no walks. Ryan Walker took over the closing role due to Doval's struggles in the middle of last season, and while Walker will likely continue to receive the bulk of the ninth-inning work, Doval should still remain a key part of the back-end mix in San Francisco.

Alonso went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Miami.

After doubling to plate a run in the first inning, Alonso blasted a three-run homer in the eighth inning to tie the game at 4-4. The star slugger is off to a fast start at the plate, slashing .286/.423/.667 with two long balls, two doubles and eight RBI over 21 at-bats. As long as he's hitting directly behind Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, Alonso should see a great deal of RBI opportunities in 2025.

Wade went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Astros.

Wade began the game on the bench against left-handed pitcher Framber Valdez, with Casey Schmitt receiving the starting nod at first base. However, Wade pinch hit for Schmitt in the eighth frame, giving the Giants a three-run lead with a 364-foot solo shot off right-hander Ryan Gusto. The homer marked Wade's first hit on the season, and he now has a .059/.056/.235 slash line with two RBI and five strikeouts across 19 plate appearances.
