Wade went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Astros.

Wade began the game on the bench against left-handed pitcher Framber Valdez, with Casey Schmitt receiving the starting nod at first base. However, Wade pinch hit for Schmitt in the eighth frame, giving the Giants a three-run lead with a 364-foot solo shot off right-hander Ryan Gusto. The homer marked Wade's first hit on the season, and he now has a .059/.056/.235 slash line with two RBI and five strikeouts across 19 plate appearances.

Matos went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Astros.

Matos drew the start in center field due to Jung Hoo Lee getting the night off against southpaw Framber Valdez. Matos cracked a 395-foot solo shot to left field in the second frame, which landed just above the yellow line and was initially ruled a double. The 23-year-old outfielder is expected to continue to be a lineup regular versus lefties, and in three outings this season, he's slashing .400/.455/.800 across 11 plate appearances.

McLain went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Rangers.

McLain reached base on an error then stole second during the seventh inning, putting himself in scoring position with no outs. Two swinging strikeouts and a groundout followed, and the Reds lost a second consecutive 1-0 game. The theft was the first of the season for McLain, who had double-digit steals for the Reds in 2023 and at every minor-league stop before that.

De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Texas.

De La Cruz doubled then stole third base in the fourth inning but was left on base. The steal was De La Cruz's second of the season. Through six games, he's batting .333 (8-for-24) and is the lone Reds regular with an average above .250.

Encarnacion-Strand started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Rangers.

Encarnacion-Strand returned to the lineup after missing one game due to a hand injury. After a pair of two-hit games to open the season, he's gone hitless in his subsequent nine at-bats.

Gillispie didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mets after allowing one run on four hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out six.

Facing a vaunted Mets lineup, Gillispie produced better results than when he gave up four runs in five frames during his first start of the year against Pittsburgh. Other than an RBI double from Pete Alonso in the first inning, it was rather smooth sailing for Gillispie. The 27-year-old right-hander threw just 73 pitches Wednesday, so he'll search for more length in his next scheduled start, which is scheduled to be a road rematch with the Mets early next week.

Holmes didn't factor into the decision after allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks in 4.2 innings Wednesday against Miami. He struck out six.

After struggling with his control a bit Opening Day against Houston, Holmes did a better job of limiting the traffic Wednesday. Matt Mervis scratched a run across on a sacrifice fly in the third inning, and Otto Lopez reached on a fielder's choice later in the frame to bring in an unearned run following an error. Holmes is slated to face these same Marlins in a favorable matchup at home early next week, and he'll be looking to reach the 90-pitch threshold for the first time this season.

Taillon (1-1) got the win Wednesday against the Athletics. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven across six innings.

It was a nice bounce-back performance for Taillon after he got knocked around for six runs in his first start against the Diamondbacks on Friday. His lone blemish came in the third inning when he gave up a two-run home run to Brent Rooker, but Taillon proceeded to retire 10 of the next 13 batters (including five strikeouts) and finished the game with 19 whiffs across 94 pitches. Taillon's next start is tentatively slated for next week at home against the Rangers.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Athletics. He also stole a base.

Crow-Armstrong was effective in the lopsided win, and he seems to be rounding into form. Over his last three games, the speedy outfielder has gone 5-for-13 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. It's a small sample, but if Crow-Armstrong can keep it up, he should be able to post useful fantasy numbers due to his ability on the basepaths.

Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Athletics. He also stole two bases.

Hoerner maximized his time on the basepaths, as he stole both second and third base and also scored twice. The infielder has three steals in his last two games, so he appears to be fully up to speed after missing Chicago's opening two-game series in Tokyo as he recovered from October flexor tendon surgery. Hoerner posted a career-best 43 stolen bases in 2023, and he could threaten that number this year if he stays healthy.
