  • Jesus Made SS | MIL

Brewers' Jesus Made: Tacks on three steals

Made went 3-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and three steals in a game with Double-A Biloxi on Thursday.

It was another stellar showing for Made, who racked up multiple hits for the sixth time in 16 games -- a span over which he posted a 1.119 OPS -- and upped his stolen-base count on the season to 11. There is not much room for Made to advance up prospect lists, but he has only solidified his standing as one of the top up-and-comers in the game.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Stays hot in high-scoring affair

Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Thursday's 10-8 win over Colorado.

Although he got off to a dreadful 4-for-32 start over his first eight games of 2026, the veteran shortstop has been producing at a high level ever since. Over his last 68 trips to the plate (16 contests), Bogaerts is slashing .379/.471/.603 with four long balls, one double and two stolen bases to push his OPS for the year up to a .810.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moved to leadoff

Perdomo batted leadoff and went 1-for-4 in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Perdomo hit atop the order for the first time this season, as manager Torey Lovullo plans to platoon the shortstop and Ketel Marte at leadoff, per Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. The two players operated as tandem leadoff batters in over the second half of 2025 -- Perdomo against righties, Marte against lefties -- so the roles are nothing new to either player. The move coincides with Perdomo catching fire at the dish; he's hit safely in seven consecutive games, going 13-for-27 with four extra-base hits, two steals, two RBI and four runs scored. As part of the tweak, Corbin Carroll drops from second to third in the order.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Placed on IL with calf strain

The Mets placed Lindor on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a left calf strain.

It's another tough break for the Mets, as they'll now lose Lindor to a strained calf after just getting Juan Soto back from his own calf strain. Per Joel Sherman of the New York Post, manager Carlos Mendoza said that Lindor's strain is worse than Soto's was, so Lindor's absence is likely to last longer than the two-and-a-half weeks Soto was out. Ronny Mauricio is up from Triple-A Syracuse and will fill in as the Mets' primary shortstop until Lindor returns.

  • Giants' Casey Schmitt: Out of San Francisco lineup

Schmitt is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Dodgers.

Schmitt had made 11 consecutive starts, but he will begin Thursday's festivities on the bench. Will Brennan will draw the start at designated hitter against righty Tyler Glasnow and the Dodgers.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Expected to land on injured list

The Mets are expected to place Lindor (calf) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Lindor was forced to leave Wednesday's game versus the Twins after tweaking his left calf while running the bases. The results of an MRI on Lindor's calf have yet to be revealed, but the feeling is that the injury is bad enough to force an IL move. Ronny Mauricio is in line to take Lindor's roster spot and could get some starts at shortstop in Lindor's stead. The club could also shift Bo Bichette to his natural shortstop position and use Brett Baty at third base.

  • Ronny Cruz SS | WAS

Nationals' Ronny Cruz: Bumped to High-A

Cruz was promoted to High-A Wilmington on Monday after beginning the season by slashing .333/.460/.627 over 14 games with three homers and 15 steals in 18 attempts for Single-A Fredericksburg, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

The Nationals have a logjam of top infield prospects in the low minors, but a breakout for Cruz could allow him to climb the ladder a little quicker than his peers. The 19-year-old shortstop was acquired from the Cubs at the trade deadline last year as part of the package for Michael Soroka, and in his first two games for Wilmington he's gone 2-for-9 with a homer.

  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Regular treatment for back issues

Winn "continues to undergo preventative care" for a lower-back issue, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn spent some time on the injured list last season with back spasms, and he's also missed time this year with hip and shin issues. The shortstop isn't currently hurt, but the Cardinals "are seeking ways for him to reduce mileage," which could mean more days off like he had Wednesday in Miami. Winn got off to a slow start offensively this season but has been superb lately, slashing .387/.429/.645 during an eight-game hitting streak.

  • Luis Pena SS | MIL

Brewers' Luis Pena: Needs IV after getting overheated

Pena had to be taken to the hospital after collapsing in the dugout when he became overheated during Wednesday's game with High-A Wisconsin, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The game was called in the eighth inning following the scary incident, but Pena was administered IV fluids at the hospital and is feeling better. Consider him day-to-day. The 19-year-old top prospect is off to a blazing-hot start for the Timber Rattlers, slashing .372/.462/.512 with one home run, six stolen bases and an 8:10 BB:K.

  • Jose Fernandez SS | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jose Fernandez: On base four times

Fernandez went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored in Wednesday's 11-7 win over the White Sox.

Fernandez's contributions were lost among the more showy exploits of his teammates, but the utility infielder extended a hit streak to seven games (9-for-27). The rookie has flirted with .300 all season and is slashing .313/.333/.433 with four extra-base hits and nine RBI over 19 games. A relatively unheralded prospect entering spring training, Fernandez put on a show in the Cactus League (three HR, 1.148 OPS) and it hasn't stopped in the majors, where he homered twice in his MLB debut. The 22-year-old shares first base with Ildemaro Vargas while also getting at-bats at DH.
