  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Homers again Wednesday

Turner went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Padres. Turner helped seal the victory in the ninth inning by taking Ron Marinaccio deep for a solo homer, his seventh of the season. He also swiped his 11th base of the year in the sixth inning. While Turner has struggled overall in 2026, he has still flashed occasional power lately, hitting three homers over his last 10 games despite batting just 7-for-40 (.175) during that stretch. After winning the National League batting title last season with a .304 average and .812 OPS, Turner has yet to consistently find that same rhythm this year. He's currently slashing .226/.279/.358 with nine doubles, 19 RBI and 34 runs scored across 244 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Homer, steal in win

Turner went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Padres. Turner had gone 0-for-16 with one walk and six strikeouts over his previous four games. He snapped out of the slump in his second at-bat Tuesday, hitting a solo shot off Randy Vasquez in the third inning. Turner later picked up a steal, his 10th of the season in 11 attempts. The shortstop is batting .225 with a .626 OPS, six home runs, 17 RBI, 33 runs scored and nine doubles over 54 contests this season. He's hitting just .189 (18-for-95) in May.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Busy on basepaths in loss

Turner went 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Reds. Both steals came off the battery of lefty Andrew Abbott and catcher P.J. Higgins, but the rest of the Phillies lineup couldn't do much with the opportunities Turner created. The shortstop has hit safely in seven straight games, batting .267 (8-for-30) and eight runs while collecting four of his nine steals on the season during that stretch.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Belts fifth homer

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Reds. The star shortstop spoiled Chase Burns' shutout bid by taking the right-hander deep in the third inning. Turner snapped a 16-game power drought with the blast, and he's hit safely in six straight games, although he's batting just .250 (7-for-28) during that stretch. On the season, he's slashing a disappointing .236/.285/.357 with five homers, seven steals, 16 RBI and 31 runs in 48 contests.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Swipes sixth bag Friday

Turner went 1-for-6 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 11-9 extra-inning win over the Pirates. Turner battled an illness earlier this week, but he's back in action for the Phillies. The 32-year-old shortstop has been a big disappointment at the plate so far, batting just .231 with four home runs, seven doubles, 13 RBI and 13 walks over 182 at-bats, but he does have 27 runs scored and six stolen bases. As long as he remains in the leadoff spot for Philadelphia, Turner should continue to have plenty of run-scoring upside going forward.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Not feeling well

Turner is not in the Phillies' lineup against the Red Sox on Wednesday due to an illness, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports. Turner will open Wednesday's game on the bench, though Phillies manager Don Mattingly told reporters that the star shortstop could be available to pinch hit or pinch run against Boston. Turner has been in a slump over his last 10 games, going 8-for-44 (.182) with one steal, two RBI and four runs scored over that span.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Out of Wednesday's lineup

Turner is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Red Sox. Turner has been in a season-long slump and is slashing only .182/.178/.227 with a 0:10 BB:K so far in May. He'll get a day to recharge the batteries while Edmundo Sosa grabs a start at shortstop.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Swipes bag in four-hit game

Turner went 4-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Rockies. Turner swiped his first bag since April 21 and logged his second four-hit effort of 2026. The veteran shortstop has been a bit underwhelming so far this year, as his .655 OPS for the year is on pace to easily be a career worst. Turner should still see plenty of run-scoring chances as Philadelphia's primary leadoff man, and he's batting .244 with four home runs, 12 RBI, 24 runs scored and four stolen bases across 164 at-bats.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Collects four hits Tuesday

Turner went 4-for-5 with an RBI single and two runs scored during the Phillies' 7-0 win over the Giants on Tuesday. Turner set a new season high in hits Tuesday, and he came home to score on a Brandon Marsh sacrifice fly and a Bryce Harper double in the fourth and sixth frames, respectively. Turner's approach at the plate has been better as of late following a slow start, with the veteran shortstop having slashed .271/.358/.441 with two steals, three home runs, seven RBI and an 8:9 BB:K over his last 15 games.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Smacks two-run homer Friday

Turner went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Friday's 5-3 loss to Atlanta. Turner took Grant Holmes deep in the third inning for his third long ball of the season. It was also the shortstop's first multi-walk game of the 2026 campaign, as his on-base percentage has now eclipsed the .300 mark. Turner is slashing a disappointing .229/.302/.362 across 116 plate appearances, with three homers, nine RBI, 15 runs scored, three stolen bases and an 11:22 BB:K.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Hits first homer Sunday

Turner went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. Turner tied the game with a two-run blast in the sixth inning before adding a single in the seventh. The long ball was his first of the season, and he's now hit safely in eight of 10 April contests with three multi-hit efforts during that stretch. For the year, he's slashing .254/.299/.365 with one homer, five RBI, 11 runs scored and one steal across 67 plate appearances.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: RBI in comeback win

Turner went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Monday's 6-4 win against the Giants. Turner has been batting leadoff every game this season for the Phillies and starting at shortstop. The two-time All-Star won the National League batting title last season but is off to a slower start in 2026 with a .279 average and only three RBI. As his power diminished last year, Turner was still a menace on the bases while ranking at the top of the sprint speed leaderboard, even while missing most of September with a hamstring injury.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Searching for rhythm this spring

Turner went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against Toronto. Turner finally broke out of his spring slump a bit, but he's still gone just 4-for-24 (.167) with a trio of doubles and RBI over nine Grapefruit League contests thus far. It's not yet settled if Turner will open the season batting first or second in Philadelphia's lineup, but he's all set to reprise his role as the Phillies' everyday shortstop in 2026 either way. Last year, the All-Star recorded 36 stolen bases, his most since 2018, while hitting .304 with 15 homers, 69 RBI and 94 runs scored and over 589 regular-season at-bats.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Off injured list

The Phillies reinstated Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. Turner has been sidelined since Sept. 8 due to a strained right hamstring, but he'll rejoin the active roster for Philadelphia's regular-season finale. The Phillies are already locked in as the National League's No. 2 seed, so there aren't any stakes for Sunday's game against Minnesota. However, the contest presents an opportunity for Turner to shake off some rust before the NLDS. Max Lazar was optioned to the Phillies' rookie-level affiliate in a corresponding move.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Could return Sunday

Manager Rob Thomson said Friday that Turner (hamstring) had an encouraging day of work, and while Turner won't play Saturday, he could return to the lineup Sunday against Minnesota, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Turner is working his way back from a strained right hamstring and could be activated for the Phillies' regular-season finale. Thomson has reiterated that Turner is expected to be available for Game 1 of the NLDS on Oct. 4, but a tuneup game Sunday could help knock off some rust, considering he's been on the shelf since Sept. 8.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Status for this weekend uncertain

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Turner (hamstring) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, and he's not sure whether the shortstop will return at any point during the weekend series versus the Twins, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The good news is Turner had another good workout Thursday and Thomson is adamant that his starting shortstop will be ready for Game 1 of the NLDS on Oct. 4. Ideally, Turner will be back at some point this weekend in order to knock rust off before the playoffs, but the primary goal is to have him ready for the postseason. He's been sidelined for much of September with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Set to face live pitching this week

Turner (hamstring) is scheduled to face live pitching Tuesday and Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park, Bob Cooney of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Manager Rob Thomson adds that Turner is recovering well from his Grade 1 right hamstring strain and that the star shortstop will be reinstated from the injured list once he's able to run close to 100 percent. A return before the end of the regular season for Turner remains in play, though his earliest possible activation date appears to be Thursday based on the next steps in his rehab.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: May swing bat soon

Turner (hamstring) did some pole running and played catch Saturday, and he may swing a bat Sunday or Monday, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports. Turner appears to be making progress from the hamstring strain that caused him to go on the 10-day IL on Sept. 8. It doesn't seem likely that the veteran shortstop will be ready to return when first eligible, but the hope remains that he'll be able to get some games in before the postseason. Edmundo Sosa had been filling in at shortstop most days for Philadelphia, but he's currently dealing with a groin issue, so Bryson Stott is starting at the position Saturday.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Recovering from Grade 1 strain

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Turner was placed on the injured list Monday after the shortstop was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain following an MRI, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Though the injury Turner sustained in Sunday's loss to the Marlins appears likely to keep him out for longer than the minimum 10 days, Thomson noted that the hamstring issue is less severe than the Grade 2 strain that the three-time All-Star suffered a season ago, and the Phillies are hoping that he'll be ready to return before the start of the postseason. Edmundo Sosa is expected to serve as the primary replacement at shortstop while Turner is on the shelf; Sosa will occupy the position and will bat eighth in Monday's series opener with the Mets.

  • Phillies' Trea Turner: Lands on IL with hamstring strain

The Phillies placed Turner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday. Though Philadelphia haven't yet revealed the findings of the MRI that Turner underwent on his hamstring earlier Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post relays that the Phillies are optimistic that the star shortstop will be able to return for the playoffs, if not the tail end of the regular season. With that in mind, the right hamstring strain that Turner sustained in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Marlins seems likely to keep him out for more than the minimum 10 days, making him a drop candidate in redraft leagues. With Turner on the shelf, Edmundo Sosa is slated to start at shortstop in Monday's game against the Mets and should serve as the primary option at the position for the duration of Turner's absence.
