Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Blasts eighth homer
3h agoClement went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to San Diego.
Clement cashed in on a hanging slider from German Marquez, sending it over the left-field wall for a two-run homer in the fourth inning. The second baseman is riding a seven-game hitting streak, during which he has gone 10-for-30 (.333) with two extra-base hits, three RBI, four runs and a stolen base. Overall, Clement is slashing .296/.318/.433 with eight homers, 32 RBI, 42 runs and three stolen bases across 93 contests. He's slated to start at the keystone for the American League in Tuesday's All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Nathan Lukes TOR RF
Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Goes yard in loss
3h agoLukes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to San Diego.
Lukes opened the scoring with a solo blast in the first inning to give Toronto an early lead. The outfielder has had a quiet start to July, going 9-for-36 (.250), with Sunday's homer accounting for his lone extra-base hit and RBI across 10 games this month. Overall, the 32-year-old is slashing .288/.343/.404 with five homers, 18 RBI and 23 runs scored across 62 appearances.

Manny Machado SD 3B
Padres' Manny Machado: Tallies three hits in win
3h agoMachado went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over Toronto.
Machado collected three singles, with his RBI knock in the eighth frame tying the game at 4-4. Jase Bowen entered as a pinch runner for Machado and later scored the game-winning run in the inning. The 34-year-old will head into the All-Star break swinging a hot bat, slashing .291/.381/.500 with five homers, 12 RBI, eight runs and a stolen base over his past 15 contests. Overall, he's hitting .203/.290/.418 with 19 homers, 55 RBI, 46 runs and two stolen bases across 93 appearances this season.

Mason Miller SD RP
Padres' Mason Miller: Nails down 25th save
3h agoMiller picked up the save Sunday against the Blue Jays. He struck out one across a perfect inning.
Miller looked like his dominant self, inducing a weak groundout from Ernie Clement and a routine popout from Myles Straw before striking out Vladimir Guerrero on three pitches to secure the save. The flamethrower owns a dazzling 0.91 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 72:13 K:BB across 39.2 innings this season. Miller's 25 saves lead the National League and are tied with Bryan Baker for second in MLB behind Cade Smith (28).

Kevin Gausman TOR SP
Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Quality start in no-decision
4h agoGausman did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in a 5-4 loss to San Diego. He struck out eight.
Gausman ran into trouble during a chaotic three-run second inning, but he was able to settle in and churn out a quality start. Sunday's no-decision snapped a stretch of four consecutive losses charged to the right-hander, with his last win coming May 22. The 35-year-old will take a 4-8 record with a 4.33 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 116:32 K:BB across 112.1 innings (20 starts) into the All-Star break.
-
Shea Langeliers ATH C
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Slugs 21st homer
5h agoLangeliers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-1 loss to the White Sox.
Langeliers accounted for Oakland's only run of the afternoon, taking Noah Schultz deep in the first inning for his 21st home run of the season. The catcher has cooled off to begin July, batting 5-for-27 (.185) with a 43 percent strikeout rate through his first eight games of the month. He heads into the All-Star break slashing .257/.324/.483 on the season.
-
Kyle Higashioka TEX C
Rangers' Kyle Higashioka: Hits game-tying homer
11h agoHigashioka went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Astros.
Higashioka went yard in the eighth inning, tying the game at 5-5 a half-inning after the Astros had pulled ahead. Higashioka has started three of the last four games behind the dish for the Rangers, perhaps suggesting he's clawing back some playing time from Elias Diaz. Higashioka is batting .220 with a .670 OPS, seven homers, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored, three doubles and no stolen bases over 177 plate appearances.
-
Dalton Rushing LAD C
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Out of Sunday's lineup
14h agoRushing is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The 25-year-old continues to operate as the Dodgers' primary catcher with Will Smith (neck) on the injured list but will get a breather for the final game before the All-Star break. Eliezer Alfonzo will step in behind the plate Sunday in place of Rushing, who is poised to finish the first half with 10 home runs and an .808 OPS in 60 games, barring an appearance off the bench.
-
Luis Campusano SD C
Padres' Luis Campusano: Scratched Sunday
15h agoCampusano was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays due to abdominal soreness, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The 28-year-old was penciled in to start behind the plate Sunday but was instead replaced by Rodolfo Duran due to the injury. Campusano will now have five full days to recover before the Padres start the second half of the season Friday in Kansas City.
-
Alejandro Kirk TOR C
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Not starting Sunday
15h agoKirk is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Kirk will get a day off for the final game of the first half after starting the previous three contests and going 4-for-12 with a walk, two doubles and two RBI in that span. Brandon Valenzuela will step in behind the plate to catch right-hander Kevin Gausman on Sunday.
-
Elias Diaz TEX C
Rangers' Elias Diaz: Left out of starting nine
15h agoDiaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Diaz will head to the bench for the third time in four games while the Rangers go with Kyle Higashioka behind the dish. Though he appeared to have supplanted Higashioka as the Rangers' preferred catcher while Danny Jansen (forearm) remains on the shelf, Diaz may have faded into a timeshare after going 3-for-19 (.158 average) with a 0:4 BB:K over his last six starts.
-
Jonathan Aranda TB 1B
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Belts 14th homer in loss
5h agoAranda went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and was hit by a pitch in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Mariners.
Aranda's lone hit produced the only scoring of the night for Tampa Bay, as he launched a two-run homer off Eduard Bazardo in the eighth inning. The long ball was his 14th of the year to match his career high from last season. The first baseman heads into the All-Star break swinging a hot bat, going 11-for-19 (.579) with six RBI over his last five games. Through 93 games, Aranda is slashing .297/.394/.471 with 14 home runs, 17 doubles, 64 RBI and 48 runs scored.
-
Michael Busch CHC 1B
Cubs' Michael Busch: Doubles twice in win
10h agoBusch went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Reds.
Busch laced his 16th and 17th doubles of the season to help lead Chicago to victory, and he hit them both against southpaw Andrew Abbott to boot. The first baseman goes into the break with five hits across his last two games, but it's mostly been an underwhelming first half following his breakout 2025. Busch has a .763 OPS, 11 home runs and 49 RBI across 95 contests so far this year. In 2025, he finished with an .866 OPS, 34 homers and 90 RBI in 155 regular-season games.
-
Abimelec Ortiz WAS 1B
Nationals' Abimelec Ortiz: Headed back to Triple-A
12h agoOrtiz was optioned to Triple-A Rochester after Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Yankees, Kyle Williams of TheBanner.com reports.
Ortiz was called up to the big-league roster and made his major-league debut Sunday, going 1-for-2 with a double before he was replaced by pinch-hitter Curtis Mead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Ortiz will now head back to Rochester and will await his next chance with the Nationals.
-
Ty France SD 1B
Padres' Ty France: Drawing third straight start
14h agoFrance will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
France will receive a third consecutive start and appears to have leapfrogged Miguel Andujar for the final opening in the Padres' regular lineup versus right-handed pitching. Since the beginning of July, France is hitting .250 with three extra-base hits, three RBI and two runs over eight games.
-
Vaughn Grissom LAA 1B
Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Sitting in series finale
16h agoGrissom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Though he'll be giving way to Oswald Peraza at second base in the series finale, Grissom may have inched ahead of him on the depth chart after a strong finish to the Angels' first-half schedule. Grissom had started in each of the Angels' previous four games, going 7-for-17 with a home run, a double, a walk, six RBI and three runs during that span. The 25-year-old now maintains a .708 OPS on the season, placing him well ahead of Peraza's .663 mark.
-
Jared Young NYM 1B
Mets' Jared Young: Idle against southpaw
17h agoYoung is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
The Mets will keep the left-handed-hitting Young on the bench for a second straight day while the Red Sox send another lefty starter (Payton Tolle) to the bump. Eric Wagaman will serve as the Mets' first baseman once again and will bat cleanup.
-
Ernie Clement TOR 2B
-
Jose Altuve HOU 2B
Astros' Jose Altuve: Clubs homer in loss
11h agoAltuve went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Rangers.
Altuve went yard in the fourth inning to get the Astros on the board. The second baseman has homered three times over his last six games, though he's at just 11 long balls on the year. He's also batting .235 with a .711 OPS, 27 RBI, 45 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases across 74 contests. He's been declining for a few years, but his OPS would be his lowest since he had a .630 mark in the abbreviated 2020 campaign.
-
Alex Freeland LAD 2B
Dodgers' Alex Freeland: Playing time trending down
14h agoFreeland is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
After being called up to the big club in late May, Freeland had settled back into a near-everyday role at second base, but his playing time has begun to dry up now that Teoscar Hernandez has settled back in as a regular in the Los Angeles lineup following his return from the injured list June 29. With Hernandez taking control of left field, Tommy Edman has seen fewer opportunities in the outfield but has begun to poach playing time from Freeland at second base. Freeland will be on the bench for a fourth consecutive game and could soon be headed back to Triple-A Oklahoma City if his opportunities remain limited.
-
Edouard Julien COL 2B
Rockies' Edouard Julien: Sitting against righty
15h agoJulien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
The Rockies have regularly shielded the left-handed-hitting Julien from southpaws this season, but he'll take a seat against a righty starter (Trevor McDonald) in the final game before the All-Star break. Tyler Freeman will get the nod at second base in place of Julien, who is slashing .228/.335/.321 (75 wRC+) over 224 plate appearances versus righties on the campaign.
-
Jeff McNeil ATH 2B
Athletics' Jeff McNeil: Sitting against lefty
16h agoMcNeil is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
McNeil was included in the lineup for the first two games of the series while the Athletics faced a right-handed starter and right-handed primary pitcher, going 0-for-5 between those contests to bring his average down to .226. With Nick Kurtz (thumb) and Zack Gelof (knee) recently heading to the injured list, the left-handed-hitting McNeil looks like he might still have a path to regular playing time against righties. However, McNeil will take a seat Sunday while southpaw Noah Schultz takes the hill for Chicago.
-
Nick Sogard BOS 2B
Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Activated and optioned
17h agoThe Red Sox activated Sogard (oblique) from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Sogard is healthy again after completing a six-game minor-league rehab assignment following his five-week stint on the shelf due to a right oblique strain, but the Red Sox don't have room for him on the 26-man active roster and will keep him at Worcester so that he can continue playing regularly. While the Red Sox still have several key infielders on the shelf, the quality performances of second baseman Anthony Seigler and shortstop Tsung-Che Cheng in recent weeks has lessened the need for the team to keep Sogard on hand in the big leagues.
-
Manny Machado SD 3B
-
Weston Wilson SEA 3B
Mariners' Weston Wilson: First homer with Seattle
5h agoWilson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Rays.
Wilson added to Seattle's lead by taking Ian Seymour deep for a solo homer in the fourth inning. It was his second long ball of the season and first since the Mariners claimed him off waivers June 18. The utility man has seen limited production with his new club, going 3-for-18 across his first 10 games with Seattle.
-
David Hamilton MIL 3B
Brewers' David Hamilton: Not ready to return after break
8h agoBrewers manager Pat Murphy said Sunday that Hamilton (hamstring) will miss "a couple series" following the All-Star break, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
After landing on the injured list Tuesday due to a left hamstring strain, Hamilton will end up needing more than the minimum 10 days to heal up from the injury. Murphy's comments indicate that the speedy infielder will remain out for the Brewers' first six games of the second half, and it's unclear whether Hamilton will need a rehab assignment before making his return from the shelf. Joey Ortiz will likely receive the bulk of the reps at third base while Hamilton is stuck on the IL.
-
Alex Bregman CHC 3B
Cubs' Alex Bregman: Homers again Sunday
10h agoBregman went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, an additional run scored and four total RBI in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Reds.
Bregman goes into the All-Star break with home runs on consecutive days to give himself a little momentum after a mostly uneven first half of the season. The veteran third baseman is batting .241 with a .695 OPS, nine long balls and 41 RBI across 94 contests. During his career, Bregman's best two months by OPS are August and July, so he could be primed for continued success after the break.
-
Denzer Guzman LAA 3B
Angels' Denzer Guzman: Swats fourth homer
12h agoGuzman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Twins.
Guzman had gone 15 games without a homer, hitting .236 with two doubles in that span. The infielder provided the Angels' second run of the game when he went deep off Taj Bradley in the seventh inning. Guzman is now hitting .262 with a .718 OPS, four homers, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored, four doubles and one stolen base over 114 plate appearances this season.
-
Blaze Alexander BAL 3B
Orioles' Blaze Alexander: Dealing with hand fracture
13h agoManager Craig Albernaz said Alexander was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his left hand after being hit by a pitch in Sunday's game against the Royals, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Alexander went 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored before being plunked in the bottom of the seventh inning and being replaced by a pinch runner. It's a brutal development for the 27-year-old, who is now likely to miss at least the next couple weeks after batting .365 (35-for-96) with 10 extra-base hits, three steals, 15 RBI and 16 runs in 32 games since the start of June.
-
Willy Adames SF SS
Giants' Willy Adames: Trio of hits in win
4h agoAdames went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's win over Colorado.
Adames led all players in Sunday's contest with three hits, with his RBI single in the eighth inning extending San Francisco's lead to 3-1. It marked the shortstop's first three-hit effort since May 31 and his fifth game with at least three knocks this season. The 30-year-old will head into the All-Star break slashing .230/.281/.420 with 15 homers, 37 RBI, 45 runs and two stolen bases across 91 games.
-
Brayan Rocchio CLE SS
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Launches eighth home run
4h agoRocchio went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Marlins.
After collecting an RBI single to open the scoring in his first plate appearance, Rocchio extended Cleveland's lead in the fifth inning by taking Michael Petersen deep for his eighth home run of the season. The long ball matched his career high from 2024, but he has reached the mark in 50 fewer games this time around. The shortstop has been hot lately, batting .317 with three home runs and 10 RBI over his last 11 games.
-
Jett Williams MIL SS
Brewers' Jett Williams: Nursing wrist issue
12h agoBrewers manager Pat Murphy said Sunday that Williams is managing a minor wrist injury, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Brewers bolstered their infield depth by acquiring Braden Shewmake from the Astros on Sunday, but that trade may not have been necessary if Williams wasn't banged up. The 23-year-old hasn't seen the field for Triple-A Nashville since Tuesday but currently remains on the active roster, which supports the notion that the injury isn't viewed as a serious concern.
-
Francisco Lindor NYM SS
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Homers Sunday
13h agoLindor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Sunday's 3-2, extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.
Lindor was responsible for all of New York's offense Sunday -- he opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning before extending the lead to 2-0 in the sixth with a solo shot off Brayan Bello. It's a nice way to head into the All-Star break for Lindor, who'd gone just 2-for-20 in his past six games coming into the day. Overall, he's slashing .216/.298/.373 with five homers, 12 RBI, 22 runs scored and two steals across 171 plate appearances this year.
-
Tristan Gray MIN SS
Twins' Tristan Gray: Cedes shortstop to Kreidler on Sunday
16h agoGray is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Though he had started against right-handed pitchers in each of the Twins' last three games, Gray will give way to Ryan Kreidler on Sunday while the Angels send another righty (Jose Soriano) to the bump. Gray could still rank as the Twins' preferred option at shortstop while Kreidler has fizzled at the plate of late. Since churning out back-to-back three-hit performances June 20 and 21, Kreidler has slashed .167/.200/.250 over his subsequent 15 games.
-
Jacob Wilson ATH SS
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Logs two hits in loss
18h agoWilson went 2-for-4 with a triple in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.
Wilson accounted for two of his club's four hits, including his first triple of the campaign, as the Athletics' losing streak reached eight games. After going hitless in his first two games back from the injured list due to right thumb inflammation, the shortstop has recorded two hits in each of the past three contests. Overall, the 24-year-old is slashing .282/.315/.391 with four homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs and two stolen bases across 55 appearances in 2026.

The 26-year-old will take a 4-6 record with a 4.81 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 93:26 K:BB across 82.1 innings (17 starts) into the All-Star break.

Through his first two big-league appearances, Bratt has allowed four runs on five hits with a 3:5 K:BB across six innings. It remains to be seen whether the 23-year-old will receive an extended opportunity in the starting rotation after the All-Star break with Zac Gallen (elbow) on the injured list.

4h agoLorenzen did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings against the Giants. He struck out one.
Lorenzen allowed plenty of traffic and generated just two whiffs, but the veteran hurler limited the damage to one run across five innings. The right-hander has shown some improvement of late, posting a 3.22 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB across 36.1 innings over his past seven starts. Overall, Lorenzen will take a 3-9 record with a 6.22 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 73:38 K:BB across 97 innings (21 appearances) into the All-Star break.

Trevor McDonald SF SP
Giants' Trevor McDonald: Logs seven innings in no-decision
4h agoMcDonald did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings against Colorado. He struck out four.
After surrendering a leadoff inside-the-park homer to Jake McCarthy, McDonald kept the Colorado offense quiet over seven innings, matching the season high he established in his first outing May 4 against San Diego. It was a much-needed rebound performance for the right-hander after he was tagged for eight runs across 2.1 innings in his previous start against Toronto. McDonald will take a 3-7 record, 5.02 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 54:21 K:BB across 66.1 innings (13 starts) into the All-Star break.

Tim Hill NYY RP
Yankees' Tim Hill: Serves up another long ball Sunday
4h agoHill was charged with a blown save Sunday against the Nationals, as he gave up one run on one hit while striking out one batter over two-thirds of an inning.
Hill took the mound in the sixth inning following starter Will Warren, who tossed five frames of one-run ball. After Hill struck out the first batter he faced, he then gave up a game-tying solo home run to Curtis Mead. Sunday marked the third time over Hill's past five outings that he's given up at least one homer, and he's yielded four total runs across 4.2 innings during that span. The lefty reliever concludes the first half with a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB while notching eight holds over 36 innings spanning 43 appearances.

Paul Blackburn NYY RP
Yankees' Paul Blackburn: Registers first save
4h agoBlackburn earned a save against Washington on Sunday, striking out two batters over two perfect innings.
Blackburn entered the contest in the bottom of the eighth inning after New York took a one-run lead in the top of the frame. The veteran righty retired the side in order on 17 pitches, and manager Aaron Boone elected to stick with Blackburn for the bottom of the ninth after the Yankees tacked on an insurance run in the top of the frame. Blackburn was even more effective in his final inning, needing just four pitches to set the side down in order again. The save was the first of the campaign for the hurler, who has primarily worked in middle relief this season. His opportunity to close Sunday was due to David Bednar being deployed each of the previous two days and throwing 38 total pitches during that span. With that in mind, fantasy managers need not consider Blackburn off the waiver wire as a source of additional saves.

Shohei Ohtani LAD DH
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Gets knee drained Sunday
4h agoOhtani was set to get his left knee drained shortly after the Dodgers' loss to Arizona on Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Ohtani appears to have prioritized getting his problematic left knee addressed as soon as possible ahead of the All-Star break in order to maximize his healing time. The two-way star is skipping the Midsummer Classic this year in order to get extra rest, as he's been dealing with inflammation in the left knee since mid-June. Though the issue resulted in Ohtani missing his most recent start as a pitcher, he's expected to retake his regular spot in the rotation following the All-Star break. The Japanese slugger doesn't seem to be impacted much by the knee as a hitter, as he went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run Sunday and closed the first half with a home run in four of his final six contests.

Miguel Andujar SD DH
Padres' Miguel Andujar: Staying on bench Sunday
14h agoAndujar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
After a run of three consecutive starts against right-handed pitchers during which he went 3-for-9 with three doubles, a walk, two runs and two RBI, Andujar has now been left on the bench for the Padres' ensuing two contests, both of which have also come against righties. The 31-year-old may have to settle for a short-side platoon role while the Padres are seemingly prioritizing Ty France and Sung-Mun Song ahead of him in matchups versus righties.

George Springer TOR DH
Blue Jays' George Springer: On bench Sunday
15h agoSpringer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Springer started the past three games after missing six contests while on the paternity and family medical emergency list, but he'll take a seat Sunday for the final matchup before the All-Star break. Barring an appearance off the bench, the veteran slugger will finish the first half with a disappointing .218/.303/.374 slash line, nine home runs and six steals in 66 games.

Jorge Polanco NYM DH
Mets' Jorge Polanco: Taking seat Sunday
17h agoPolanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Polanco will hit the bench for the Mets' final game before the All-Star break while Juan Soto gets a day off from playing the outfield but stays in the lineup at designated hitter. Since being activated from the 60-day injured list July 7, Polanco has started at DH in four of the Mets' ensuing six games, going 3-for-16 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run. He's not expected to be available to play first base anytime soon coming off injuries to his Achilles and ankle, and unless he's able to catch fire at the plate, Polanco could fade into more of a part-time role at DH once Luis Robert (back) returns from the 60-day IL at some point following the All-Star break.

Masataka Yoshida BOS DH
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Taking seat against lefty
17h agoYoshida is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Yoshida has gone 7-for-17 with a home run, two doubles and two walks while starting in each of the Red Sox's last four matchups with righties, but the lefty-swinging batter will move to the bench Sunday while the Mets send southpaw Zach Thornton to the bump. Jarren Duran will fill in for Yoshida as Boston's designated hitter and will bat seventh.
