Garcia launched a two-run homer in the fourth inning before adding a sacrifice fly in the sixth. The 25-year-old has opened September strongly, hitting safely in three of four games with five RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases. On the season, he's slashing .260/.295/.409 with 12 home runs, 60 RBI, 59 runs scored and 13 steals across 464 plate appearances.

Assad (2-1) earned the win against the Nationals on Friday, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Assad threw just 49 of 81 pitches for strikes and generated six whiffs but still worked into the sixth inning for a third straight outing. The 28-year-old gave up two runs in the fourth before being charged with two more after exiting with two on in the sixth. He owns a 4.62 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB across 25.1 innings this season and is likely headed back to the bullpen with Jameson Taillon (groin) set to return next week.

Rushing was removed from Friday's game against the Orioles with a right shin/knee injury, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Rushing was in quite a bit of pain after fouling a ball off his right leg in the sixth inning, and he had to be carried off the field by the Dodgers' training staff. The team will take a closer look at him to determine if he suffered any fractures as a result of the incident and should offer an update in the near future. With Will Smith (hand) also nursing an injury, Ben Rortvedt could be in line to make a few starts behind the plate over the next several days.

Irvin (8-11) took the loss against the Cubs on Friday, allowing seven runs on five hits and four walks with two strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Irvin was tagged for five runs in the first inning and has now allowed multiple homers in four of his past six starts. The 28-year-old is winless over his last seven outings, a stretch that includes five games of at least four earned runs and no quality starts. He'll carry a 5.71 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 104:57 K:BB across 157.2 innings into a road matchup with the Marlins next week.

McGuire went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.

McGuire was making his second straight start for a resting Carson Kelly, and the former delivered his eighth home run of the season Friday. The veteran backstop has been thrust into a more prominent role this year with Miguel Amaya being limited to only 28 games so far due to a sprained ankle and an oblique injury before that. McGuire has limited fantasy upside in his backup role, and Kelly should be back in the lineup soon.

King (knee) made a five-inning start Thursday in a bridge game in Arizona and appears on track to return from the 15-day injured list next week, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. "Fielded his position, felt good afterwards and felt good [Friday]," Shildt said of King.

After completing a four-inning simulated game Aug. 29 followed by a bullpen session Monday, King had pushed for a return to the San Diego rotation this weekend in Colorado, but the Padres instead elected to have him make a start in Arizona, where he faced off against an assortment of Complex League prospects. Assuming King checks out fine during his next bullpen session, the Padres could clear him for a return to the rotation as soon as Tuesday's game against the Reds in San Diego.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-3 with a run scored, a stolen base and two RBI in Friday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.

After being held out of the lineup in each of his last two games amid a slump, Crow-Armstrong returned Friday with a much-improved performance. The speedy outfielder is still batting just .206 over his last 10 games, and he's gone deep just once in his last 37 contests, but Crow-Armstrong is too talented to keep out of fantasy lineups. He's now up to 32 stolen bases on the season, and he's added 28 home runs for a full stat line.

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, two RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.

Hoerner tallied his fifth multi-hit performance in his last 10 games as the Chicago infielder stayed hot at the plate. While not known for his power, the 28-year-old has also gone deep twice during this 10-game stretch after hitting only four home runs in his previous 125 games. Hoerner will continue to derive most of his fantasy value moving forward from his strong contact skills and his speed, as he has 23 stolen bases this year in 27 attempts.

Swanson went 1-for-4 with a walk, a three-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.

Swanson now has four home runs in his last eight games and 22 for the season. That puts him five behind his career high of 27 long balls, which he recorded back in 2021 while playing for Atlanta. Swanson is also up to 70 RBI on the year, though he has some work to do to match his career best of 96 RBI. The Chicago shortstop has tacked on 12 stolen bases in 2025, giving him double figures in homers and steals for the fifth time in his career.

Happ went 1-for-2 with three walks, a solo home run and four total runs scored in Friday's 11-5 win over the Nationals.

Happ demonstrated both his patient eye at the plate as well as his burgeoning power stroke. The veteran outfielder now has 20 home runs in a season for the fifth time in his nine-year MLB career, and he's gone deep four times in his last seven games. Dating back to the beginning of August, Happ is batting .282 with five home runs, 15 RBI and 18 runs scored across 31 contests.
