Pressly worked a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout in Saturday's 12-3 win over the Astros.

Pressly closed things out Saturday, though it was far from a save situation. It was also his first game action in four days. The veteran righty managed to secure a save back on June 12, but since then, Daniel Palencia has rattled off the team's last three saves. Pressly is at least pitching better after a rough start to the season, as he now has a 1.23 ERA over his last 15 appearances. However, it appears that Palencia is the clear closer in Chicago at this point, with Pressly working in a setup role along with Porter Hodge and Drew Pomeranz.

Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 12-3 win over the Astros.

Hoerner made his lone hit count, as he recorded his second home run in as many days and third in the last five games. Those three long balls account for all of Hoerner's home runs this season, so the power surge certainly came out of nowhere. The speedy infielder is also riding a seven-game hitting streak, and he's now batting .294 this year with 15 stolen bases through 79 games. Hoerner's speed and high batting average remain his most bankable fantasy assets, despite the recent uptick in pop.

Burleson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Burleson will get his first day off since June 6, breaking a stretch of 21 consecutive starts for the 26-year-old. Though he'll be taking a seat against lefty Logan Allen, Burleson hasn't been treated as a pure platoon player of late, as he had started in each of the Cardinals' last seven matchups with southpaw starters. Garrett Hampson will cover right field Sunday.

Nootbaar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

He'll hit the bench for a fourth straight matchup against a left-handed starter (Logan Allen), and Nootbaar appears to have settled into a strong-side platoon role after slashing an unremarkable .215/.333/.308 in 126 plate appearances versus southpaws this season. With Alec Burleson also out of the lineup Sunday, the Cardinals will deploy a starting outfield of Brendan Donovan, Victor Scott and Garrett Hampson from left to right.

Ramirez went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 8-7 victory over Arizona.

Ramirez cracked an RBI double in the first inning and later delivered the game-winning RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to help lift Miami to victory. While the rookie catcher doesn't reach base at a high clip, carrying a .299 OBP with a 6.2 percent walk rate, his power has been a clear strength. Ramirez has racked up 15 doubles and 12 home runs over 57 games for a .478 SLG.

Miller blew the save Saturday against the Marlins. He allowed one run on one hit while striking out two over one inning.

The right-hander allowed just one hit, a single to Dane Myers, who proceeded to steal second and third base to set up a Heriberto Hernandez sacrifice fly to tie the game. This was Miller's second blown save in June, with the other coming in a walk-off loss to the Blue Jays on June 17. Despite those setbacks, the veteran has been a steady presence for the Diamondbacks in 2025, posting a 2.18 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 33.0 innings.

Pfaadt did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk over five innings against Miami. He struck out seven.

The right-hander notched seven strikeouts for the second straight outing, though his strikeout rate has dropped significantly from 9.2 K/9 in 2024 to 7.6 K/9 this season. After a strong start to the year in which he logged a 3.28 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over his first eight starts (46.2 innings), Pfaadt has struggled in his past nine, posting a 7.91 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 38.2 innings.

Alcantara did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and no walks over six innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out four.

Alcantara struggled mightily, giving up a season high in hits and tying his season worst with the seven earned runs. The outing was a harsh setback after a promising start to June, during which he recorded a 2.74 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over his first four starts (23.0 innings). For the season, the right-hander owns a 6.98 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 80.0 innings in 16 starts. While Alcantara has frequently been mentioned as a trade candidate, his rough 2025 campaign has significantly diminished his market value.

Priester (6-2) earned the win Saturday, allowing one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings against the Rockies. He struck out 11.

Priester was dominant, setting season highs in both innings pitched and strikeouts while allowing no runs in a start for the first time since April 15. The 2019 first-rounder appears to be hitting his stride in his first year with the Brewers, posting a 1.98 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over five starts spanning 27.1 innings in June. Those outings have helped lower the right-hander's season ERA to 3.35 with a 1.23 WHIP across 15 starts and 78.0 innings.

Turang went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

The second baseman delivered a standout performance in Saturday's win, driving in the game's first run with an RBI single in the first inning and later tacking on an RBI double in the fifth inning -- both off Antonio Senzatela. Turang is putting together a strong third MLB season, highlighted by a scorching 15-game stretch during which he's slashing .400/.413/.533 with six extra-base hits and 10 RBI.
