Orioles' Pete Alonso: Adds 19th homer to strong campaign
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Nationals.
Alonso socked his eighth homer of June on Sunday, extending his on-base streak to nine games in the process. The All-Star first baseman is putting together another strong season at the dish during his debut year with the Orioles, slashing .252/.342/.478 with 19 big flies, 15 doubles and 58 RBI over 368 plate appearances.

Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Struggles with command in loss
Bradish (5-8) took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing four runs (three earned) on one hit and five walks over four innings. He struck out two.
Bradish's control issues proved costly Sunday, as he issued a season-high five walks in an eventual 6-4 defeat. Coming into the day, Bradish had allowed one run while issuing just three walks over 15.2 innings in his previous two starts. The right-hander's ERA now sits at 3.77 on the year with a 1.45 WHIP and 96:47 K:BB across 17 outings (93 innings). Bradish will look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled to come on the road in Cincinnati.

Orioles' Yosver Zulueta: Finds work with Baltimore
The Orioles claimed Zulueta off waivers from the Cubs on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The 28-year-old righty reliever will move on to his fifth different organization since the start of 2024 despite having posted mediocre numbers at the big-league level over the past two seasons (5.32 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 25:11 K:BB in 23.2 innings) and at the Triple-A level in 2026 (7.54 ERA, 1.90 WHIP, 24:20 K:BB in 22.2 innings). Zulueta boasts a big fastball that can hit 100 mph, and the Orioles are hoping that their staff can help him harness his control at the Triple-A level and emerge as an effective reliever for the big club down the road.

Orioles' Sam Huff: Cast off 40-man roster
The Orioles designated Huff for assignment Sunday.
Though Baltimore will keep three catchers on its active roster following Adley Rutschman's (concussion) return from the 7-day injured list Sunday, but Chadwick Tromp will end up sticking as the No. 3 option over Huff. After being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on June 6, Huff appeared in six games for Baltimore and went 2-for-14 with a double and a 0:6 BB:K.

Orioles' Leody Taveras: Heading to bench Sunday
Taveras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Taveras has maintained a .248/.324/.363 slash line (95 wRC+) to go with two home runs and nine stolen bases across 260 plate appearances on the season, giving the Orioles adequate production while the team has navigated numerous injuries. However, with Adley Rutschman (concussion) and Dylan Beavers (oblique) returning from the injured list Sunday, the Orioles are perhaps as healthy as they've been at any point this season, which could result in Taveras fading into more of a fourth-outfielder role. Baltimore will go with Taylor Ward, Colton Cowser and Beavers as its starting outfield trio from left to right in Sunday's series finale.

Orioles' Blaze Alexander: Heading to bench Sunday
Alexander is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Alexander had started in each of the Orioles' last three games, but he could shift back into more of a utility role after Baltimore reinstated two key lineup cogs in Adley Rutschman (concussion) and Dylan Beavers (oblique) from the injured list Sunday. The 27-year-old had made each of his last five starts at third base, but Coby Mayo could end up seeing the bulk of the time at the hot corner since he'll have fewer opportunities to serve as a designated hitter with Rutschman and Beavers back in the fold.

Orioles' Jeremiah Jackson: Sent to Triple-A
The Orioles optioned Jackson to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
The 26-year-old opened the campaign as a lineup regular while Jackson Holliday was on the injured list, and Jackson took advantage of those early opportunities with six homers and an .800 OPS in his first 28 games. He's received more sporadic playing time of late and has a .244/.261/.333 slash line in his past 19 contests, so the Orioles will send him down to make room on the roster for the activation of Dylan Beavers (oblique).

Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Returns from IL
The Orioles reinstated Beavers (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.
The 24-year-old has been on the shelf for the past six weeks due to an oblique strain, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after going 1-for-20 with five walks during a six-game rehab assignment. Beavers, who posted a .243/.331/.369 slash line with two homers and three steals in his first 33 games of 2026, should reclaim a starting job in the outfield now that he's healthy.

Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Making return from IL
The Orioles reinstated Rutschman (concussion) from the 7-day injured list Sunday. He'll start at catcher and bat third in the Orioles' series finale with the Nationals.
Rutschman missed about a week and a half due to a concussion, which he sustained June 18 game in Seattle. While he's expected to immediately step in as the team's No. 1 backstop, the Orioles could look to use him a bit more at designated hitter in the short term until the concussion is further in the rear-view mirror. Baltimore will keep Chadwick Tromp around on the 26-man active roster for the time being as a third option at catcher behind Rutschman and Samuel Basallo.

Orioles' Brandon Young: Season-high eight Ks in no-decision
Young took a no-decision Saturday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out eight.
Young fanned a season-high eight Saturday, and he also continued to supply the Orioles with length. The 27-year-old right-hander has now worked at least five innings in seven consecutive outings, turning in five quality starts during that period. He is far more likely to maintain his rotation spot over rookie righty Trey Gibson once Dean Kremer (quadriceps) comes off the injured list, since Young holds a 3.11 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 57:27 K:BB over 72.1 frames.

Orioles' Chris Bassitt: Undergoes minor procedure
Bassitt (back) underwent a minor procedure to have bone spurs removed from his back, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Bassitt was placed on the injured list June 8 with low-back discomfort, and his return to the major-league mound will be delayed after undergoing the back procedure. General manager Mike Elias said that the team will see where the 37-year-old stands in his recovery in a "couple weeks" before he potentially throws again, so Bassitt is a safe bet to be sidelined through into late July, at least.

Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Joins team Saturday
Beavers (oblique) is in Baltimore before Saturday's matchup against Washington after playing in six rehab games, and he could soon be activated from the injured list, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Beavers, who was placed on the injured list May 13 with a right oblique strain, is feeling good and appears on the cusp of being reinstated. The 24-year-old is going through a workout Saturday after participating in six rehab games, which could be the final hurdle before activation. Prior to hitting the IL, Beavers slashed .243/.331/.369 with two homers and 12 RBI in 119 plate appearances.

Orioles' Cade Povich: Activated, optioned to Triple-A
The Orioles reinstated Povich (elbow) from the injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Povich has been on the shelf for about two months due to left elbow inflammation, but he's been making rehab starts in the minors, allowing four runs (three earned) over seven innings across two appearances. The Orioles will keep him at Triple-A now that he's healthy, though he could be called upon for a spot start later in the year if injuries further weaken Baltimore's rotation.

Orioles' Kyle Nicolas: Booted from 40-man
The Orioles designated Nicolas for assignment Saturday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Nicolas will lose his place on the 40-man roster in order to make room for Dom Keegan, who was claimed off waivers from Tampa Bay on Saturday. Nicolas has given up seven earned runs in 7.1 major-league innings this season, and he hasn't been much better since joining Triple-A Norfolk (three earned runs in 4.1 IP).

Orioles' Dom Keegan: Claimed by O's
The Orioles claimed Keegan off waivers from the Rays on Saturday and optioned him to Double-A Chesapeake, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Keegan was DFA'd by the Rays on Tuesday, but he'll retain a spot on a 40-man roster upon joining the Orioles organization. The 25-year-old backstop has spent the entire season at Triple-A, slashing .185/.322/.298 with six homers, 23 RBI, 24 runs and six steals through 214 plate appearances. He'll move down to Double-A to begin his tenure with the O's, but he could reach Triple-A Norfolk at some point if his hitting improves.

Orioles' Cade Povich: Builds up to 66 pitches Friday
Povich (elbow) made the second start of his rehab assignment for Double-A Chesapeake on Friday, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and one walk in 3.2 innings. He struck out four.
The 26-year-old left-hander also landed 44 of his 66 pitches for strikes. Povich is working his way back from nearly a two-month absence due to left elbow inflammation, but he could still be optioned to the minor leagues once activated from the injured list, especially if Dean Kremer (quadriceps) finishes his rehab assignment first.
