Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Scheduled for appointment Monday
Westburg will have a follow-up appointment for his right elbow sprain Monday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Westburg was progressing in his recovery from a partially torn UCL in his right elbow but was shut down from throwing earlier this week after reporting discomfort. Monday's appointment should give the Orioles more clarity on Westburg's setback and a recovery timeline.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Shut down from throwing
Westburg has been shut down from throwing after feeling discomfort in his right elbow, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Westburg has been sidelined by a partial UCL tear in his right elbow since mid-February. He was steadily progressing through his recovery, including swinging a bat and a throwing program, but he has recently hit a setback and will be shut down until he's reevaluated by the Orioles' medical staff. Westburg is eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list in late May, but he may need a longer stint on the IL depending on how his elbow responds over the coming days.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Starting throwing progression
Westburg (elbow) will begin a throwing progression this week, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
It's a major step for the infielder, but there remains no timetable for Westburg's return from a right UCL sprain. He is already on the 60-day injured list and thus not eligible for activation until late May. Coby Mayo has been filling in as the Orioles' third baseman and will continue to do so while Westburg is shelved.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Shifted to 60-day injured list
The Orioles transferred Westburg (elbow) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Albert Suarez, who was called up from Triple-A Norfolk. Westburg is working his way back from a partially torn UCL in his right elbow and has progressed to swinging a bat and playing catch, manager Craig Albernaz said Wednesday, per Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun. As a result of his move to the 60-day IL, Westburg won't be eligible for activation until May 21 as Baltimore brings him along slowly. Coby Mayo will continue to fill in at third base for the Orioles while Westburg is sidelined.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Officially lands on IL
The Orioles placed Westburg (elbow) on the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
Westburg isn't expected to be ready to make his season debut until at least early May while he recovers from a partial UCL tear in his right elbow. Per MLB.com, Westburg has been running, fielding grounders and taking one-handed swings as of last week, but he has a few more checkpoints to hit in the recovery process before he'll be ready to head out on a rehab assignment.

Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Lacks return timetable
Westburg (elbow) said Monday that he remains without a timeline to increase his participation in baseball activities, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Westburg is trying to remain optimistic and continues to follow medical advice as he works his way back from a partially torn UCL in his right elbow. He opted against surgery and instead received a platelet-rich plasma injection, hoping that the shot coupled with rest would allow him to return to the field sooner. Westburg has been able to run, take part in fielding drills and swing with his bottom hand, but he has yet to do anything beyond that and has already been ruled out through the end of April. Coby Mayo, Blaze Alexander and Jeremiah Jackson will be the candidates to cover third base while Wetsburg is sidelined.
