  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Slated to make another rehab start Wednesday

Glasnow (back) is scheduled to make another minor-league rehab start Wednesday, and he could then rejoin the Dodgers' rotation during a road trip that begins Aug. 25 and ends Aug. 30, MLB.com reports. Glasnow tossed 67 pitches in his most recent rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Aug. 14, and he dominated with 3.2 hitless frames while striking out eight batters. The star right-hander is expected to toss five innings or approximately 75 pitches in his upcoming rehab appearance Wednesday, which is likely to be his last before being activated from the 60-day IL, assuming he doesn't have any setbacks. That puts Glasnow on track to return to the big-league club as soon as Aug. 25, when Los Angeles kicks off a three-game series in Atlanta.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Dominant in third rehab start

Glasnow (back) tossed 3.2 hitless and scoreless innings in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, walking two batters and striking out eight. Glasnow had been slated for four innings and/or 60 total pitches; the veteran hurler didn't quite reach the innings mark, but he tossed a hearty 67 pitches (39 strikes). The right-hander looked good in yielding just one run over 4.2 frames with a 3:1 K:BB across his initial two rehab appearances, but Friday's outing was by far the best he's been since returning to game action. Glasnow is expected to log one more minor-league outing -- likely sometime next week -- before potentially being activated and returning to the big-league club's rotation.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Set for another rehab start Friday

Glasnow (back) will make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports. Glasnow is set to be stretched out to roughly four innings and/or 60 total pitches in the outing as the Dodgers continue to slowly ease him back into a full workload. The right-hander is then expected to throw one more rehab start following Friday's outing before Los Angeles would consider activating him from the 60-day injured list. Glasnow has been sidelined since May 8 while recovering from lower back spasms, and he appears to be on track to return to the major-league roster before the end of August.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Surrenders one run in rehab start

Glasnow (back) pitched 2.2 innings, allowing one run on one hit and a walk while striking out two batters in Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Glasnow made the second start of his minor-league rehab assignment, and he was able to notch 26 strikes over 47 total pitches. The team had set a goal of roughly three innings and 45 pitches for the right-hander, so he fulfilled what was expected. Glasnow will need to make at least one more start at the minor-league level before he'd be in a position to be activated from the 60-day injured list.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Cleared for second rehab start

Glasnow (back) is expected to cover around three innings and 45 pitches in his next minor-league rehab start Sunday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports. Glasnow reported to Single-A Ontario on Tuesday for the first start of his rehab assignment and his first appearance at any level since May 6, after a bout with lower-back spasms resulted in a prolonged absence. The right-hander breezed through his outing Tuesday, retiring six of the seven batters he faced on 16 pitches. The Dodgers haven't revealed whether he'll stick around at Ontario for his next outing or move up to a higher-level affiliate, but either way, he'll be looking to tack on about 30 more pitches to his workload. Glasnow is likely to require one or two rehab starts beyond Sunday before returning from the 60-day injured list and reclaiming a spot in the Dodgers' six-man rotation.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday

Glasnow (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Ontario on Tuesday. Glasnow has gone almost a full two months without making a start, but he's finally ready to pitch in games again following a longer-than-expected recovery from lower-back spasms. Given the length of his absence, Glasnow is likely to require at least 2-to-3 rehab outings before he's ready to be re-inserted into the Dodgers rotation later this month.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Nearing rehab assignment

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Glasnow (back) will begin a rehab assignment after completing Wednesday's live batting practice session, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Glasnow has been shelved since May 8 due to lower back spasms, but assuming he checks out fine following Wednesday's live session, he'll move on to the final stage of the recovery process. Given the length of his absence, Glasnow will likely require at least three rehab starts to build up his pitch count before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Dodgers rotation. Prior to landing on the shelf, Glasnow turned in a 2.72 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 49:13 K:BB across 39.2 innings over seven starts.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Set for another live BP session

Glasnow (back) will face live hitters again Wednesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports. Glasnow will take on live batters for the second time in a week after having done so already Friday. The right-hander has been on the shelf since May 8 due to lower back spasms, but he finally appears to be moving closer to a return. If all goes well Wednesday, Glasnow would be on track to begin a minor-league rehab assignment thereafter. Prior to landing on the injured list, the 32-year-old had compiled a 2.72 ERA and 0.83 WHIP with 49 punchouts over 39.2 innings in seven starts.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Set to face hitters

Glasnow (back) is scheduled to face live hitters Friday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Glasnow was cleared to resume throwing off a mound roughly two weeks ago, and Friday will mark his first time facing a live hitter since he landed on the injured list in May with lower-back spasms. The 32-year-old's progress within the past month has been encouraging, but he'll almost certainly require an extended rehab assignment once he's cleared to begin playing in games.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Resumes throwing

Glasnow (back) has been cleared to begin a throwing program, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Manager Dave Roberts stated Monday that the club is approaching Glasnow's rehab with caution, so it's not clear at this time when he could resume throwing off a mound. The right-hander has been on the injured list since early May after experiencing lower-back spasms and remains without a clear timetable for a return.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Still shut down from throwing

Glasnow (back) has yet to resume throwing, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. It was reported over the weekend that Glasnow could throw in the near future, but he's yet to make any progress. He's been on the injured list since suffering a back injury May 6 in his start against the Astros, and until he can gain clearance to resume throwing, a return date will be difficult to estimate.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Transferred to 60-day IL

The Dodgers transferred Glasnow (back) to the 60-day injured list Saturday. Glasnow has yet to make strong enough strides to return to a big-league mound, thus resulting in a 60-day IL stint. The 32-year-old resumed throwing May 25, but he was unable to get over the hump to advance his pitching progression beyond playing catch. The Dodgers will call up Nick Frasso to take Glasnow's spot on the 40-man roster and add another pitcher to the depleted Dodgers pitching staff.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Stalled in throwing progression

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts relayed Saturday that Glasnow (back) "hasn't gotten over the hump" to increase his throwing progression beyond playing catch, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Glasnow landed on the 15-day injured list in early May due to lower-back spasms. He progressed enough in his recovery to resume throwing Monday, but Roberts noted Saturday that Glasnow has been unable to "let it rip" to this point. The Dodgers will have a better sense of Glasnow's recovery timeline once he's cleared to throw off the mound.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Not yet throwing off mound

Glasnow (back) has not yet resumed throwing off a mound after his back flared up, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports. Glasnow had been given the green light to play catch, but he's still experiencing back discomfort, which is why he hasn't returned to throwing off a mound. He'll presumably need to throw off flat ground without issue before advancing to mound work, at which point a timetable for his return could start to come into focus. Chen notes that Glasnow has been temporarily shut down from throwing for the time being.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Won't return when eligible

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Glasnow (back) won't be ready to come off the injured list when first eligible, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. The good news for Dodgers fans (and Glasnow's fantasy managers) is that the hurler has been playing catch the last few days. However, Roberts indicated Thursday that the team plans to have Glasnow take his time in his recovery, and it's unclear when the right-hander will throw off a mound again. He's eligible to come off the injured list May 22, but Roberts' comments indicate that Glasnow won't be activated immediately. However, Roberts didn't share when the team expects the 32-year-old to be inserted back into the rotation.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Downplays early exit from start

Glasnow said that he doesn't believe the lower-back pain that forced him out of his start in Wednesday's 12-2 win over the Astros isn't anything too serious, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Glasnow said that his back "gave out" during a warm-up throw before the second inning, and he didn't feel much better on his next attempt to throw before the Dodgers removed him from the game. He worked one inning prior to his departure, striking out two batters while allowing one earned run on one hit. Glasnow spent time on the injured list in 2024 due to back spasms, and he'll get an MRI to determine whether he'll need a stint on the IL, per Ardaya. For now, Glasnow can be viewed as day-to-day ahead of his next start, which is tentatively set for Wednesday versus the Giants in Los Angeles.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Exits start with back injury

Glasnow was removed from Wednesday's start in Houston after just one inning with lower-back pain, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. After allowing one run in the first inning, Glasnow felt something in his back on a warm-up pitch before the second. He was visited by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and the trainer and then walked off the field after a brief conversation. Glasnow is tentatively slated to face the Giants at home next week, but it's too soon to say whether he has a chance to make that start.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Issues six walks Wednesday

Glasnow did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on three hits and six walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out nine. While it was the first time Glasnow failed to make it through six innings this season, the right-hander managed to limit the damage by matching a season high in strikeouts despite issuing a season high six walks -- he hadn't issued more than two free passes in any of his prior five starts. Glasnow's ERA sits at 2.56 with a stellar 0.83 WHIP and 47:13 K:BB across 38.2 innings this year. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Astros on the road in his next outing.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Dominant in eight shutout innings

Glasnow (3-0) earned the win Thursday against the Giants, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk in eight innings. He struck out nine. The star right-hander almost completely shut down the San Francisco bats Thursday, allowing just a pair of baserunners on the afternoon. Glasnow matched a season high in punchouts and also registered an impressive 16 whiffs, firing a season-high 105 pitches in his longest outing of 2026 so far. Glasnow is off to a phenomenal start, sporting a 2.45 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB over 33 frames, and he's next set for a favorable home matchup versus Miami.

  • Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Strikes out seven in win Friday

Glasnow (2-0) earned the win Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across seven innings. Glasnow surrendered a leadoff double to Mickey Moniak in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Moniak came around to score on a groundout for the Rockies' only run of the night. It was a big rebound outing for Glasnow after he served up a couple homers and four runs to the Rangers his last time out. Glasnow has gone at least six innings in all four starts and has three quality starts under his belt. The right-hander now owns a 3.24 ERA and 29:6 K:BB across 25 innings. The Dodgers are using a six-man rotation, so Glasnow's next start is lined up for Thursday against the Giants in San Francisco.
