Swanson went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Yankees.

Swanson provided the key blast of the game, helping the Cubs break a 1-1 tie with his 16th home run of the season in the sixth inning. The shortstop has been playing well lately with a .293 batting average, two home runs, seven RBI and seven runs scored over his last 10 games. Swanson is a fairly consistent performer who plays nearly every day, giving him a safe fantasy floor heading into the All-Star break.

The Nationals announced that Abrams was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers due to right shoulder soreness, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Abrams apparently suffered the injury while going through pregame work, resulting in him being pulled from the starting nine for the final contest before the All-Star break. The 24-year-old will have four full days to recover before Friday's second-half opener versus the Padres.

Ortiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

After a recent two-game benching, Ortiz started each of the last four games but wasn't able to break out of his season-long funk at the plate, going just 2-for-12 with a run scored. Ortiz still looks to be the Brewers' preferred option at shortstop, but he'll give way to Andruw Monasterio for the final contest before the All-Star break.

Abrams was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game at Milwaukee for unspecified reasons, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

The 24-year-old was initially penciled in atop the lineup as per usual, before being scratched about half an hour before first pitch. Paul DeJong will take over at shortstop, while Alex Call moves into the leadoff spot.

Perdomo batted ninth and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Angels.

For the last month, Perdomo made a home in the upper third of the batting order, but he was back down hitting ninth Saturday, which is where he started the season. It's unclear if this will be a permanent shift, but the shortstop has been productive no matter where he's been slotted.

Edwards went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Orioles.

Edwards connected on his first home run of the 2025 season with a two-run blast off Scott Blewett in the ninth inning. The switch hitter tallied two extra-base hits Saturday -- just the third time he's done so all season -- lifting his season numbers to .289/.354/.346 with 15 extra-base hits, 16 stolen bases, 24 RBI and a clean .700 OPS across 78 games.

Ritter went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Saturday against the Reds.

Ritter continues to get regular run with Ezequiel Tovar (oblique) sidelined, but he's struggled to find a rhythm at the plate. Ritter did manage his first career home run with a two-run blast in the third inning Saturday, which is his first extra-base hit since June 27. Tovar has begun a rehab assignment, so Ritter's regular playing time is likely to decrease significantly coming out of the All-Star break.

Abrams went 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers.

Abrams reached the 20-steal mark for the third year in a row with his theft in the third inning. He's been more efficient on the basepaths this year, getting caught just twice so far after going 31-for-43 on steals attempts in 2024. The shortstop continues to enjoy a breakout campaign atop the Nationals' lineup, with a .287/.353/.483 slash line, 12 home runs, 33 RBI, 61 runs scored, 20 doubles and four triples across 82 contests. He's hit safely in 10 of 11 games in July, batting .293 (12-for-41) this month.

Lopez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Orioles.

The 26-year-old infielder accounted for all of Miami's offense on the night by taking Andrew Kittredge deep in the ninth inning. Lopez is up to double digits in both homers (10) and steals (10) on the year, and since the beginning of June he's slashing a respectable .270/.333/.418 over 36 games with 21 runs and 28 RBI.

Williams went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts after replacing Austin Riley (abdomen) in the fourth inning of Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Williams also committed a throwing error at third base after being pressed into duty when Riley exited the game with what the team labeled as lower-abdominal tightness. Williams has seen little action this season in a utility role, going just 2-for-18 in 25 games for Atlanta. There's no word yet on the severity of Riley's injury, but with the All-Star break coming up, he may be held out the rest of the weekend just as a precaution, leaving Williams as the only viable option currently on the big-league roster to fill in at the hot corner.
