Nimmo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Nimmo posted a .544 OPS while starting the previous 13 games, and he'll receive a maintenance day Tuesday as lefty MacKenzie Gore takes the mound for the Nationals. Harrison Bader will start in center field and bat eighth.

Sanchez (shoulder) threw a 20-pitch live batting practice session last Friday, MLB.com reports.

Sanchez has thrown multiple live sessions since landing on the injured list June 2 with right shoulder inflammation, but given his long history of shoulder-related problems, the Marlins don't seem to be preparing him for a return in 2024. The right-hander should at least continue his throwing progression over the final two weeks of the season, setting him up for a relatively normal offseason. Sanchez posted a 6.06 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over 35.2 innings across 14 appearances (seven starts) before being deactivated.

Lindor (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old said Monday that he could return to the lineup within the next 2-to-5 days, so it's not a surprise he remains out of the starting nine for Tuesday's contest. Lindor should be back in action for the Mets later this week, assuming he can avoid a setback with the nagging back injury. Rookie Luisangel Acuna is starting at shortstop Tuesday for New York.

Greene (elbow) threw 52 pitches over a three-inning simulated game Tuesday at Great American Ball Park, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Greene came out of the session feeling great. While the successful sim game should set him up to return from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday against the Pirates, the team has not yet confirmed as much. If Greene does indeed start Sunday, he would be surely be working on a limited pitch count. The right-hander has been shelved since mid-August with right elbow inflammation.

Myers (ankle) is scheduled to advance his running progression and take live batting practice this week, MLB.com reports.

On the shelf since July 14 after he fractured his left ankle when he kicked a clubhouse door following his ejection from a game a day earlier, Myers looks to be gearing up for a return from the 60-day injured list at some point during the final week of the season. When healthy this season, Myers has typically been used in the short side of a platoon in the Miami outfield. He logged 95 plate appearances prior to landing on the IL and slashed .265/.337/.422 with two home runs and four stolen bases.

Kelenic is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

The lefty-hitting Kelenic will begin the series opener on the bench as the Reds send southpaw Brandon Williamson to the hill. Ramon Laureano -- who has also been stealing some starts from Kelenic versus righties -- will patrol left field for Atlanta.

Blackmon is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Diamondbacks.

Southpaw Jordan Montgomery is on the hill for Arizona, so the left-handed-hitting Blackmon will grab a seat. Hunter Goodman will fill the designated-hitter spot for Colorado.

Hill (shoulder) has progressed to hitting in live batting practice at the Marlins' facility in Jupiter, Fla., MLB.com reports.

Though Hill was placed on the 10-day injured list Sept. 5 with a left shoulder impingement, manager Skip Schumaker said that the 28-year-old was fully cleared to play the outfield and run the bases. Swinging the bat was a concern, however, but Hill seems to have cleared a major hurdle in his recovery from the injury by taking live BP. Hill could be a candidate to return from the IL at some point during the Marlins' final homestand of the season, which concludes Sunday.

Brujan (shoulder) resumed taking part in baseball activities last weekend, MLB.com reports.

Brujan landed on the injured list Aug. 31 with a right shoulder AC joint sprain, an injury that manager Skip Schumaker said had been bothering the 26-year-old for much of the season. Though Brujan is showing daily improvement, it's not clear whether he'll have enough time to fully heal from the injury before the Marlins' season ends Sept. 29.

Marte (forearm) is starting in right field and batting second Tuesday against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The 35-year-old sat out of the lineup the previous two games due to a forearm issue, though his return Tuesday isn't a surprise after he came off the bench and went 1-for-2 with an RBI in Monday's contest. Marte has a .259/.344/.370 slash line with a double, a triple and seven RBI through nine games in September.
