Diaz is not in the Padres' starting lineup against the Rockies on Saturday.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's series opener, but he'll begin Saturday's contest in the dugout. Martin Maldonado will serve behind home plate and bat ninth against Rockies right-hander Chase Dollander.

Siri left in the second inning of Saturday's game against the Athletics due to a lower left leg injury, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Siri fouled a ball off his lower left leg, and after staying on the ground for a couple of minutes, he was helped onto a golf cart by trainers and taken off the field. He'll undergo further testing in the clubhouse, and an update on his injury should be made later during or after the conclusion of Saturday's contest. Tyrone Taylor has taken over in center field following Siri's exit.

Saggese is slated to receive regular playing time at shortstop while Masyn Winn (back) is sidelined, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with lower-back spasms and Saggese drew the first start at shortstop in that day's matinee against the Phillies. Indications are that Winn will not require an extended absence, but while he is out Saggese should receive the bulk of the reps at shortstop, with utility player Brendan Donovan also in the mix.

Herrera (knee) feels more comfortable getting around and has been going through some workouts, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

He has not, however, been cleared to begin baseball activities as he works his way back from a left knee bone bruise. Herrera is just under a week into an absence that's expected to last at least four weeks. Pedro Pages will continue to operate as the Cardinals' primary catcher while Herrera is sidelined.

Tawa is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Brewers on Saturday.

For the second game in a row, Tawa will not be in Arizona's starting nine as Garrett Hampson gets the start at the keystone and bats ninth. Tawa has appeared in four games this season and has gone 2-for-11 with one walk, one run scored and three RBI.

Encarnacion-Strand is not in the Reds' starting lineup against the Pirates on Saturday.

Encarnacion-Strand will get a rest day after going 0-for-8 with three strikeouts over his last two games. Noelvi Marte will make his first start of 2025 at third base while Jeimer Candelario shifts to first base.

Crews is not in the Nationals' starting lineup against the Marlins on Saturday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Crews has gone 0-for-7 with one walk and four strikeouts over his last two games. He'll cede his spot in center field to Jacob Young, who will bat in the ninth spot against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara.

Marte is starting at third base and batting sixth against Pittsburgh on Saturday.

With Christian Encarnacion-Strand getting the day off, Jeimer Candelario will shift over to first base while Marte makes his first start of the 2025 campaign at the hot corner. Marte was called up from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday to fill the spot on the Reds' 26-man roster vacated by Matt McLain (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Marte was slashing .353/.425/.529 with three stolen bases, six runs scored and five RBI across 40 plate appearances in Triple-A before being recalled by the big club.

The Marlins optioned Arias to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

The move makes room on the Marlins' 26-man roster for Jesus Tinoco (back), who was reinstated off the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Arias appeared in four games for Miami after being recalled from Triple-A on March 30, posting an 11.37 ERA and 2.05 WHIP across 6.1 frames. He'll look to regain his form in Jacksonville, where he logged a 3.04 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 68 innings in 2024.

The Marlins reinstated Tinoco (back) from the 15-day injured list Saturday.

After picking up the Opening Day win against the Pirates, Tinoco was placed on the 15-day IL on March 30 due to a left lower-back strain. He began throwing off a mound in late April, and the 28-year-old right-hander has progressed enough in his recovery to return to the big club. Tinico appeared in 32 regular-season games between the Rangers, Cubs and Marlins in 2024 and logged a 3.32 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, three saves and a 42:12 K:BB across 40.2 innings.
