  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Improves to 5-5

Peralta (5-5) earned the win Sunday over Atlanta, allowing a run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two. It looked like it was going to be a short day for Peralta after he gave up singles to the first three batters he faced in the first inning. However, he'd manage to hold Atlanta to just one run in the frame before settling in and allowing just one additional hit over his final four frames, while the Mets' bats rallied en route to an 8-1 victory. It was an encouraging bounce-back effort from Peralta, who'd struggled to a 5.70 ERA across 23.2 innings over his previous four outings. Overall, the right-hander sports a 3.90 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 81:33 K:BB through 15 starts (83 innings) this season. Peralta is tentatively lined up to face the Phillies on the road his next time out.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Tagged for six runs Tuesday

Peralta (4-5) took the loss Tuesday against St. Louis, surrendering six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings. A disastrous third inning did Peralta in as five batters reached base, leading to a four-run frame that put St. Louis firmly in control. The right-hander compounded the damage in the fifth when Alec Burleson launched a two-run homer to extend the lead. The six runs allowed were a season high, but Peralta continued his streak of having surpassed 90 pitches in each of his last 13 starts. He now owns a 4.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 79:32 K:BB across 78 innings. Peralta is scheduled to make his next start at home against Atlanta.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Sharp in fourth win

Peralta (4-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Mariners, allowing a run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six. Peralta's day got off to an ominous start, as he surrendered a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the bottom of the first inning. However, he'd stop the damage there, blanking Seattle over his final five frames en route to his fourth win this season. It's also Peralta's first quality start in his last four outings -- he had posted a subpar 4.37 ERA across 22.2 innings in his prior four starts. Overall, Peralta's ERA sits at 3.38 with a 1.31 WHIP and 74:30 K:BB across 72 innings this season. He's currently lined up to face the Cardinals at home his next time out.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Mixed results in fourth loss

Peralta (3-4) took the loss Saturday against the Marlins, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out nine. The 29-year-old right-hander provided his longest outing of the season so far, fanning a season-high nine as well. However, it was the first time that Peralta gave up more than three runs since his Opening Day start against the Pirates, and he did surrender a season-worst eight knocks. Peralta is set to carry a healthy 3.52 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 63:27 K:BB across 61.1 innings into a rematch with Miami next week, this time back at Citi Field in Queens.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Earns third win Tuesday

Peralta (3-3) earned the win Tuesday against the Tigers, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings. Peralta gave up both of his runs in the second inning, including a solo homer by Dillon Dingler, but quickly settled in afterward and dominated the rest of the outing. The right-hander closed by retiring 12 of the final 13 batters he faced. Peralta continues to provide steady length, now going at least five innings in eight of his nine starts this season. After going six consecutive starts without a win, he's now picked up victories in back-to-back outings. Peralta owns a 3.10 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 50:19 K:BB across 49.1 innings and is scheduled for a difficult matchup against the Yankees his next time out.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Goes five scoreless innings

Peralta (2-3) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out one over five scoreless innings to earn the win over the Rockies on Wednesday. Peralta's start was pushed back a day due to Tuesday's rainout. He threw 56 of 91 pitches for strikes in this outing, and the Mets built up enough of the lead to overcome the bullpen's struggles. This was Peralta's first win since Opening Day, and it's his first scoreless outing as a Met. He now has a 3.12 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 43:18 K:BB across 43.1 innings over eight appearances this season. Peralta's next start is projected to come at home versus the Tigers, which could be the first in a two-start week for the right-hander.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Mets-Rockies contest postponed

Peralta will no longer start Tuesday after the Mets' game versus the Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up Thursday. Peralta now lines up to take the ball Wednesday, while Christian Scott should be bumped back a day to Thursday.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Settles for no-decision Thursday

Peralta didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Nationals, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out six. A throwing error by Peralta himself prevented two of the runs from being earned, much to the benefit of fantasy managers. The 29-year-old right-hander has been a steady presence in the rotation for the reeling Mets, pitching at least five innings in all seven of his starts thus far, but he has walked multiple batters in six straight outings. Peralta has a solid 3.52 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 42:16 K:BB over 38.1 frames, but he should be tested during a tough matchup in Colorado tentatively set for his next outing.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Undone by late struggles

Peralta did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings. Peralta cruised through the first four innings, keeping Arizona off the board, but he ran into trouble in the fifth. Despite opening the frame with consecutive strikeouts, a single and two walks loaded the bases and forced his exit, and all three inherited runners eventually came around to score. The right-hander needed 101 pitches to record just 14 outs, as Arizona consistently extended at-bats with foul balls, and a fielding error behind him added to the pitch count. While the strikeout ability was there, inefficiency and an inability to finish hitters ultimately cut his outing short. Peralta now owns a 4.80 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB across 15 innings this season.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Sharp in no-decision

Peralta (1-0) did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing a run on three hits and two walks across 5.1 innings. He struck out seven. Peralta pitched well Wednesday, blanking St. Louis through his first five innings before he was ultimately charged for a run in the sixth in an eventual 2-1, extra-innings defeat. Through his first two starts with the Mets, Peralta's given up five runs on nine hits and two walks over 10.1 innings while striking out seven in both outings. He's currently slated for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks his next time out.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Earns win on Opening Day

Peralta (1-0) picked up the win Thursday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out six over five innings. The right-hander looked shaky early in his season debut, giving up a two-run homer to the second batter he faced, Brandon Lowe, but quickly regrouped and found his rhythm, striking out the next four hitters and retiring eight consecutive batters. Peralta served up another home run to Lowe in the third, but despite the trouble with the long ball, the 29-year-old righty was able to pick up the win in his Mets debut. Better days are likely ahead, as he's coming off a strong 2025 regular season, during which he led the NL in wins with a 17-6 record and had a 2.70 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 204 strikeouts.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: On track for Opening Day

Peralta allowed one run on one hit and one walk over four innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros. He struck out six. Facing a Houston lineup headlined by Yordan Alvarez and Carlos Correa, Peralta fired 39 of 56 pitches for strikes as he continues to build up ahead of his first Opening Day assignment for the Mets. The right-hander has a 2.70 ERA and 12:2 K:BB through 10 spring innings.

  • Mets' Freddy Peralta: Draws Opening Day start

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza named Peralta the team's Opening Day starter Friday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports. Peralta was the obvious choice after landing with the Mets via trade in January. The veteran right-hander logged a 2.70 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 204:66 K:BB over 176.2 innings covering 33 regular-season starts for the Brewers in 2025. He will be matched up against Paul Skenes and the Pirates on March 26.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Option for 2026 picked up

The Brewers exercised Peralta's $8 million option for 2026 on Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The Brewers picking up Peralta's option was a given. The big question is whether they will trade their ace this winter, as he's slated to reach free agency next offseason and highly unlikely to ink a long-term deal with Milwaukee. Peralta won a career-high 17 games while posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 204:66 K:BB over 176.2 innings covering 33 regular-season starts for the Brewers in 2025.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Hit with Game 2 loss

Peralta took the loss in Game 2 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out four batters over 5.2 innings. The 29-year-old righty took the mound in the second inning with a 1-0 lead but watched it quickly disappear courtesy of a solo home run from Teoscar Hernandez and an RBI double from Andy Pages. Peralta did a good job of settling in afterward and kept the game close for the next several innings, but he was eventually pulled after coughing up another solo shot to Max Muncy in the sixth. If Milwaukee can rally and take a couple of games from the Dodgers on the road, Peralta may be able to take the mound again in Game 6 or 7.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Expected to start Game 2

Peralta is slated to draw the start in Game 2 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Peralta will get his third start of the postseason, as Milwaukee hosts the Dodgers for the first two games of the NLCS. The right-hander has pitched 9.2 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out 15 batters over two outings in the playoffs so far. Peralta surrendered four runs over 11 innings in two starts against the Dodgers during the regular season.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Takes loss in Game 4

Peralta took the loss to the Cubs on Thursday in Game 4 of the National League Division Series. He allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings. Ian Happ did all of the damage against Peralta with one swing of the bat in the first inning. Peralta threw 55 of his 84 pitches for strikes, generating 15 swings-and-misses in total. He hasn't quite performed up to his usual standards this postseason (4.66 ERA), and the Brewers are now looking at another bullpen game in Saturday's decisive Game 5 after getting out to a 2-0 series lead initially.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Claims Game 1 win

Peralta earned the win during Saturday's Game 1 of the NLDS against the Cubs after allowing two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out nine batters over 5.2 innings. It seemed like Peralta was going to be in for a long day after he allowed Michael Busch to hit a leadoff home run on Peralta's fourth pitch of the game, but the 29-year-old righty quickly settled in afterward. Nine runs of support from the Brewers' offense after two innings allowed him to work under minimal pressure for the rest of the afternoon, and he did so while tying a franchise record for strikeouts in a postseason game. If the Cubs take one of the next two games from Milwaukee, Peralta will surely be in the conversation to start Thursday in Game 4.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Set for light workload Sunday

Brewers manager Pat Murphy suggested Friday that Peralta will be on a limited pitch count in his final start of the regular season Sunday versus the Reds, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Heading into play Saturday, the Brewers sit one game ahead of the Phillies for the best record in baseball and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Even if the Brewers drop Saturday's game against Cincinnati to leave something at stake Sunday, Murphy seems inclined to prioritize easing up on Peralta's workload heading into the NLDS rather than counting on the team's ace to make a normal start. Peralta has tossed 174.2 innings through his first 32 starts, narrowly surpassing the career-high 173.2 he tossed in 2024.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Pushed back to Tuesday

Peralta will make his next start Tuesday versus the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Peralta was expected to toe the rubber in Monday's series opener with Pittsburgh, but he'll now be pushed back a day. The right-hander has labored through his last couple starts, but he still owns a 3.03 ERA over 24 outings this season, and he will now throw opposite Pirates phenom Paul Skenes on Tuesday. Jose Quintana will draw the start against Pittsburgh on Monday.
