Manager Pat Murphy said Peralta was removed from his start in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Cubs due to groin soreness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Peralta didn't appear visibly injured when he was lifted, but the groin issue explains why he was removed after tossing six scoreless innings and 89 pitches. He stayed in the game long enough to get the win and to improve to 4-2 on the season, and he finished with seven strikeouts while scattering four hits and one walk on the afternoon. The right-hander doesn't believe the injury is a serious concern, per McCalvy, so he may be able to stay on schedule and pitch next weekend in Tampa Bay.

Pages is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Mets.

Pages will rest for the second game of the day after he went 0-for-4 while starting behind the plate in the Cardinals' 6-5 win in Game 1. Yohel Pozo will handle the catching duties in the nightcap.

Tucker went 2-for-3 with a walk and a steal in Sunday's 4-0 loss at Milwaukee.

After working a walk against Trevor Megill in the ninth inning, Tucker swiped second base to notch his first stolen base since April 25. The 28-year-old has hit a rough patch lately, batting just .216 (8-for-37) across his last 10 games with two homers, three steals and a 7:5 BB:K. However, that stretch has barely dimmed Tucker's incandescent performance, as he's slashing .292/.399/.577 with nine homers and nine steals across 163 plate appearances.

McNeil is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.

McNeil will take a seat for the nightcap after he started at second base and went 0-for-4 with a walk and two runs in the Mets' 6-5 loss earlier in the day. Luisangel Acuna will cover the keystone and Tyrone Taylor will occupy center field in Game 2.

Tidwell (0-1) was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse after the Mets' 6-5 loss to the Cardinals in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader. He was dealt the loss after giving up six earned runs on nine hits and three walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out two.

The right-hander was likely to be demoted regardless of his performance in Sunday's matinee, but being optioned back to Syracuse is fitting after an ugly big-league debut. Tidwell has struggled to a 5.00 ERA through six starts with Triple-A Syracuse this season, so he may have a difficult time getting another MLB opportunity in the near future.

The Mets recalled Nunez from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.

New York optioned righty Blade Tidwell -- who started in the Mets' 6-5 loss in Game 1 -- to Triple-A to make room on the roster for Nunez, who will be making his 2025 MLB debut if/when he gets into a game. Since the Mets are designating Austin Warren as their 27th man for the doubleheader, Nunez appears likely to stick around in the majors once the twin bill concludes. The 28-year-old righty impressed as a rookie out of the New York bullpen in 2024 with a 2.31 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 48:8 K:BB in 35 innings, but he didn't pitch after August due to a flexor strain. The injury delayed him in spring training and resulted in him missing out on a spot in the Mets' Opening Day bullpen, but he's looked sharper over his last four appearances with Syracuse, giving up two runs (one earned) while striking out five and walking one over 4.1 innings.

Peralta (4-2) earned the win Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four hits and issuing a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

With this 89-pitch performance, Peralta tallied his second consecutive quality start and third total of the season. The Cubs were unable to square up the Milwaukee right-hander, who scattered four singles. Through 45.1 innings, Peralta has pitched to a magnificent 2.18 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB. He lines up to make his next start against the Rays on the road next weekend.

Lopez (ankle) said after Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Athletics that he expects to miss around 2-to-3 weeks, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Miami placed Lopez on the injured list prior to Sunday's game after he sprained his right ankle while stretching prior to Friday's 6-1 loss. Javier Sanoja has started at second base in both of the last two games and should serve as the primary option at the position in Lopez's absence, though Ronny Simon and Connor Norby could also be factors.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said Sunday after the Mets' 6-5 loss to the Cardinals in the first game of a doubleheader that Winker (side) will undergo an MRI, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Winker walked and delivered an RBI sacrifice fly in his two plate appearances in Game 1 before being pulled from the contest prior to the bottom of the fourth inning due to right side discomfort. Mendoza noted that Winker -- who suffered the injury while throwing to home plate in the bottom of the third inning -- will be sent in for tests as the Mets look to determine whether he suffered an oblique strain. Winker won't be available for the second game of the twin bill Sunday, and his availability for the Mets' three-game series in Arizona that begins Monday also seems to be in doubt.

Heaney (2-3) took the loss Sunday against San Diego, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

After pitching to a 1.72 ERA in his first five starts this season, Heaney's now given up eight runs in just 8.1 innings over his last two outings. The left-hander's ERA is consequently up to 3.18 with a 1.11 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB across 39.2 innings this year. Heaney will look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week against Atlanta.
