Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

The veteran DH accounted for Atlanta's only run of the day when he took Garrett Crochet deep in the first inning. It was Ozuna's 10th homer of the season, while the multi-hit performance was his fifth in the last 13 games -- a blistering stretch in which he's slashing .362/.483/.617 with four long balls, seven RBI and nine runs.

Sheehan (elbow) struck out five batters and allowed two hits and no walks over three scoreless innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

On the comeback trail following his May 2024 Tommy John surgery, Sheehan was cleared to kick off his rehab assignment last Monday. After striking out five batters over two perfect innings in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League in his first rehab outing, Sheehan shifted his assignment to Oklahoma City and was unfazed by the jump in competition. He induced 10 swings and misses on his 39 pitches Sunday and retired the first eight batters of the day, with the only damage against him being a bloop single and an infield single. Sheehan will likely need at least two more rehab starts to get fully stretched back out for a starting role, and if he continues to excel in his subsequent outings in the minors, he could garner consideration for a spot in the Dodgers' six-man rotation once he's activated from the 60-day injured list.

Ohtani (elbow) threw 29 pitches in a two-inning live batting practice session Saturday, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

The live BP session was the second in just under a week for Ohtani, who previously threw 22 pitches of live BP on May 25 in what was his first time facing hitters since undergoing his second career Tommy John surgery in September 2023. According to manager Dave Roberts, Ohtani's fastball sat between 94 and 95 miles per hour and topped out at 97 mph during the workout, and the right-hander made use of his full arsenal. The Dodgers are tentatively planning on having Ohtani throw one live BP session every weekend while steadily increasing his workloads, and once he reaches the point that he's covering about five simulated innings of 75 pitches, he should get the green light to make his first appearance as a pitcher since Aug. 23, 2023. In the meantime, Ohtani will continue to serve as the Dodgers' everyday designated hitter. He finished the Dodgers' weekend series against the Yankees with four hits -- including two solo home runs -- over his 13 at-bats.

Mathews (shoulder) was activated from Triple-A Memphis' 7-day injured list Saturday.

After missing more than a month of action with left shoulder inflammation, Mathews tossed five scoreless innings with an 8:0 K:BB in two rehab outings before being activated. His first outing back in the Memphis rotation didn't go as well, as he yielded two runs with a 3:3 K:BB over 2.2 frames Saturday. The southpaw has permitted nine runs with a 10:18 K:BB in 13 innings covering four starts with Memphis this season, so he'll be looking to get back on track in June now that he has hopefully put his shoulder issue behind him.

Candelario (back) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Monday, MLB.com reports.

Candelario is expected to play a couple of games in the ACL before moving to Triple-A Louisville for an unspecified number of at-bats. He's been dealing with the back issue since late April. Prior to landing on the 10-day injured list, Candelario had lost a regular spot in the starting lineup and was batting .113 over 22 games.

Nelson could rejoin the rotation if Corbin Burnes (elbow) isn't able to make his next start, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Burnes was removed from Sunday's 3-1 win over the Nationals due to elbow discomfort and will undergo an MRI on Monday. If Burnes needs to miss time, the Diamondbacks have a quality replacement on hand in Nelson, who had been filling in for Eduardo Rodriguez (shoulder) before moving to the bullpen Friday in anticipation of Rodriguez's return from the injured list this week. Over his last eight appearances, Nelson has delivered a 1.72 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB across 31.1 innings.

Mena (1-0) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two over two scoreless innings to earn the win over the Nationals on Sunday.

Mena, a starter at Triple-A Reno, was called up Sunday and earned his first MLB win. His length was needed immediately when starter Corbin Burnes (elbow) left the game after 4.2 innings. If Burnes, who will undergo in MRI on Monday, misses any starts, Ryne Nelson is the logical replacement; however, Mena could also be an option. In two relief outings for the Diamondbacks in 2025, Mena has allowed one hit and walked two while striking out seven over 5.2 scoreless frames. As a starter at Reno, Mena owns a 4.84 ERA with 52 strikeouts and 16 walks over nine outings (44.2 innings).

Freeman went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Mets.

Freeman has primarily served in a small-side platoon role, with Sunday marking only his second start against a righty since being activated from the injured list May 17. He delivered with the opportunity, tallying his first home run of the season in the fifth inning. Freeman also swiped his fourth bag of the campaign, and he could be a decent source of steals if his playing time picks up.

Arcia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Mets.

Arcia made his second start with the Rockies since signing with the team Monday. He delivered his home run to start the third inning. Arcia hasn't yet moved into a full-time role with Colorado, but if he's able to build on Sunday's performance, he could gain some traction in the everyday lineup quickly.

Triple-A Sacramento placed Bericoto on its 7-day injured list May 9 due to an unspecified injury.

Though he's been out of action at Triple-A for more than three weeks, Bericoto should return to action with Sacramento before long. He began a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 22 and has gone 11-for-23 with seven extra-base hits and a stolen base through his first six games.
