Verlander (pectoral) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Verlander completed a 65-pitch simulated game last Wednesday and a bullpen session Saturday, clearing the way for his return to the Giants rotation. He will be skipping a rehab assignment and will likely be looking at a maximum of around 80 pitches Wednesday versus Cleveland. Verlander has posted a 4.33 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 41:21 K:BB across 52 innings this season and is still looking for his first win.

Arcia is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Arcia had started in four of the Rockies' past five games at three different positions, but he'll hit the bench Monday and may have to settle for more of a part-time role moving forward. With the Rockies recalling Michael Toglia from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday and likely to reinstall him as their everyday first baseman, Arcia's main pathways to playing time could come at shortstop and designated hitter moving forward.

Sanoja is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Sanoja will retreat to the bench after starting in four of the past five games and three different positions. The rookie doesn't have a direct path to a spot in the everyday lineup at the moment, but he should play regularly against left-handed pitching, and his ability to play all over the infield and outfield will allow him to make occasional starts versus righties, too.

Raley (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Raley is ready to pitch in games again following Tommy John surgery with an internal brace augmentation he underwent last May. The southpaw's rehab assignment will likely last most, if not all, of the allotted 30 days, but Raley is on track to join the Mets bullpen sometime in July.

The Nationals recalled Lile from Triple-A Rochester on Monday.

Lile didn't do much in his brief earlier stint with the big club, going 6-for-31 in 11 contests. The 22-year-old outfielder will compete for at-bats in center and right field with Jacob Young and Alex Call.

The Nationals designated Yepez for assignment Monday.

Yepez will be moved off the Nationals' 40-man roster to clear a spot for infielder Brady House, who was promoted from Triple-A Rochester on Monday. After failing to win a spot on Washington's Opening Day roster coming out of spring training, Yepez has spent the entire season with Rochester and has hit .199/.273/.301 with three home runs in 172 plate appearances. Given his struggles at Triple-A and limited defensive flexibility, the 27-year-old Yepez is likely to clear waivers.

The Nationals selected House's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Monday. He will start at third base and bat sixth in the Nationals' series opener versus the Rockies.

Reports surfaced Sunday indicating that House was on his way to the big leagues, and the move is now official. The top prospect earned a promotion after slashing .304/.353/.519 with 13 home runs in 65 contests with Rochester. He will take over as the Nationals' everyday third baseman.

The Marlins promoted White from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

White missed some time at Beloit with a finger injury but has been excellent when healthy, posting a 2.83 ERA and 53:17 K:BB over 35 innings covering nine starts. He's been especially sharp since returning in late May following a brief stint on the 7-day injured list, turning in a 16:1 K:BB over 10 frames in three outings. White is one of the better left-handed pitching prospects in baseball and has now reached the Double-A level at 20 years of age.

Casparius is expected to pitch in bulk relief in Monday's game against the Padres behind starter Shohei Ohtani (elbow), who will serve as the Dodgers' opening pitcher, Jeff Spiegel of DodgerBlue.com reports.

After Casparius limited San Diego to one run over four innings in his second start of the season this past Wednesday, manager Dave Roberts said that the right-hander would be part of the rotation moving forward. Though Roberts implied that Casparius would be utilized as a traditional starter, the 26-year-old is instead on track to cover the bulk of the innings out of the bullpen Monday after the team elected to have Ohtani bypass another simulated game in order to make his 2025 debut as a pitcher. Ohtani is expected to be limited to 1-to-2 innings Monday and will likely need at least a couple more outings after that to get fully stretched out for a typical starter's workload, so it wouldn't be surprising if Casparius ended up piggybacking the two-way phenom the next time Ohtani's turn in the rotation comes up.

The Brewers optioned Avans to Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Avans was claimed off waivers earlier this month and went hitless in three plate appearances during his brief time with the Brewers. The club will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday's game versus the Cubs, and it's likely to be Daz Cameron (personal) returning from the paternity list.
