Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Wednesday against the Giants.

Reynolds produced only five RBI and 14 runs scored across 27 games in August, but he's turned in consecutive strong performances to begin the Pirates' current homestand. In those two contests, he's gone 3-for-10 with five runs scored and a double. Reynolds has scored 94 runs this season, already setting a career high.

Peterson (7-8) took the loss against the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and four walks in 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

The southpaw never quite got going Wednesday, surrendering a pair of runs in the opening frame and being scored upon in three of the four innings he worked. It marked just the third time through 12 appearances that Peterson conceded more than two runs in a Cubs uniform. Chicago plans to bring Edward Cabrera (blister) back as a reliever eventually, positioning Peterson for a rotation spot the rest of the way. He'll carry a 4.58 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 50:26 K:BB over 59 innings with Chicago into a road rematch with Milwaukee.

Palencia, who allowed a run on two hits across an inning of relief in Wednesday's 9-5 loss to the Brewers, has been scored on in four out of five appearances since returning from the injured list in late August.

Palencia missed nearly two months with a right elbow flexor strain, and he's yet to get into a groove since returning from the injured list. The flamethrowing righty's ERA has climbed up to 5.14 due to his recent struggles, and he's simply a middle-relief option in Chicago's bullpen until further notice. As a result, Palencia's fantasy value is trending downward.

Misiorowski took a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks in four innings. He struck out five.

It was a rare misstep for the National League Cy Young frontrunner, who coughed up a season-high five runs Wednesday. The outing stopped Misiorowski's streak of starts with three earned runs or fewer at 25, and the five punchouts matched a season low as well. Still, he responded well with two scoreless frames after Chicago jumped on him during the first two innings. He'll be looking to get back on track in a home rematch with the Cubs next week, still boasting a 1.97 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 227:39 K:BB over 155 innings.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a home run and four total RBI in Wednesday's 9-5 loss to the Brewers.

Bregman hit his 24th home run of the season in the first inning, a two-run shot against Milwaukee ace Jacob Misiorowski. The veteran third baseman just wrapped up a tremendous month of August and is carrying momentum into September. He has been on a power surge as well with eight long balls in his last 12 games. Bregman is certainly heating up at the right time for fantasy managers who have stayed patient all year.

Faucher threw a clean ninth inning to earn the save Wednesday against the Royals.

With closer Pete Fairbanks (hand) on the injured list, Faucher stepped up for the save Wednesday. The right-hander has yielded a lone earned run since the beginning of August and figures to serve as one of Miami's top options in the ninth inning while Fairbanks is on the mend. Faucher has a 3.77 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 64:32 K:BB with three saves (eight chances) in 59.2 innings this season.

Sugano did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

It was a nice bounce-back outing from Sugano, who gave up 17 earned runs over just 12 innings in his previous three outings. Overall, Sugano is 12-8 this season with a 5.19 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 79:30 K:BB across 25 starts (131.2 innings). The right-hander is currently lined up to face the Yankees on the road his next time out.

Perez took a no-decision against the Royals on Wednesday, allowing six runs on nine hits and three walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

It was tough sledding from the get-go for Perez, who let in five runs in the opening frame and served up a season-high three home runs after conceding just one in his previous 10 appearances. The hard-throwing right-hander is beginning to struggle on the mound -- he's given up 11 runs in his past two starts after yielding 11 earned runs in his nine outings prior to that stretch. He'll look to bounce back his next time out versus the Mets, still holding a strong 3.72 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 145:59 K:BB over a career-high 135.1 innings.

Webb was removed from Wednesday's game against the Brewers after getting hit on the arm by a comebacker, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Webb took a 102.5-mph line drive off his right forearm in the ninth inning and was taken out of the game immediately afterward. X-rays came back negative after the game, per Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network, though the Cubs may stay away from using Webb out of the bullpen for a day or two to give him time to recover. Daniel Palencia and Trent Thornton would figure to be next up to handle high-leverage situations.

Chandler allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four across five innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Wednesday.

Chandler put the Pirates on the back foot early after yielding a solo homer to Rafael Devers in the first inning. Chandler bounced back to retire the next six batters he faced before giving up another two runs in the fifth, but he received enough run support to avoid the loss. The 23-year-old right-hander has allowed at least three earned runs in two of his last three outings and has a 4.30 ERA and 1.37 WHIP over 136 innings this season. His 71 walks issued are third most in the majors behind only Robbie Ray (73) and Joey Cantillo (72). Chandler is tentatively slated to start next week on the road against the White Sox.
