  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Belts 24th homer

Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 5-3 victory versus the Phillies on Monday.

Hernandez gave Los Angeles a lead they didn't relinquish with his two-run blast to left field in the third inning. It was the veteran outfielder's second homer in four games and fifth in 16 contests since winning the Home Run Derby during the All-Star break. Hernandez is slashing .302/.362/.587 with 11 RBI in addition to the five long balls so far in the second half of the campaign.

  • Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Hits homer, swipes base

Ohtani went 2-for-3 with a home run, two total RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 5-3 win over Philadelphia.

Ohtani tied the score with a sacrifice fly in the third inning and added a solo homer in the eighth. He also swiped a bag in the fifth frame. This was the seventh time this season that Ohtani has stolen a base and homered in the same game. He's making a serious run at the Triple Crown in the National League, leading the circuit in batting average (.309) and homers (34) while ranking second in RBI (81). He's also tied for second in the NL with 32 stolen bases.

  • Aaron Nola SP | PHI

Phillies' Aaron Nola: Done in by third inning

Nola (11-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Nola was great outside of the third frame, when he allowed four runs on five hits, including a Teoscar Hernandez two-run homer. That inning was enough to send the right-hander to his first loss since June 29, as Philadelphia's offense put up just three total runs. Nola has given up four runs twice over his past four outings and has a mediocre 4.37 ERA with only one quality start during that span.

  • Daniel Hudson RP | LAD

Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Records eighth save

Hudson earned a save against the Phillies on Monday, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Manager Dave Roberts went to Hudson with the Dodgers up two runs entering the ninth inning, and the righty reliever came through with an 11-pitch scoreless frame. The save was Hudson's first since July 22, with three other Dodgers relievers notching a save since that date. It's apparent that Evan Phillips is no longer going to get the bulk of Los Angeles' save opportunities for the time being, and Hudson seems to be the most likely Dodgers pitcher to be called upon in his stead, but it's quite possible that Roberts continues to spread ninth-inning opportunities among a number of relievers in what has been one of the majors' top bullpens.

  • Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Fans nine in victory

Glasnow (9-6) earned the win over Philadelphia on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out nine batters over six innings.

Glasnow fell behind 2-0 after two innings but gave up only one run over his remaining four frames. The veteran right-hander finished with his second straight quality start and picked up his first victory since June 22. Glasnow's nine punchouts Monday were his most since that June 22 win, and he now ranks second in the majors with 164 punchouts on the campaign.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Slugs leadoff homer

Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Nationals.

Fitzgerald took the second pitch of the game out to left field for a leadoff homer. The 26-year-old has taken over leadoff duties versus left-handed starters -- he's been atop the order against the last three southpaws the Giants have faced since Jorge Soler was traded to Atlanta. Fitzgerald has certainly earned a prominent spot in the lineup with 11 homers over his last 17 contests and a .314/.373/.650 slash line across 153 plate appearances this year.

  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Registers 10th steal

Winn went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's 6-0 loss to the Mets.

The steal was Winn's 10th of the season, though it was his first since July 5. The shortstop has sacrificed some contact for a bit more power, going 34-for-129 (.264) with five homers over his last 30 contests. For the season, he's at a .278/.325/.413 slash line with nine long balls, 41 RBI, 50 runs scored, 18 doubles and four triples across 105 games.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Launches leadoff home run

Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 7-6 win against the Guardians.

Marte took Logan Allen deep in the very first pitch of the game. It was Marte's fifth leadoff homer this season, which trails only Kyle Schwarber and Gunnar Henderson for most this season. Marte has been on a tear over his last 13 games with nine home runs and 21 RBI in that span. The 30-year-old is putting together another stellar campaign, hitting .300/.366/.557 with 28 home runs and 78 RBI through 108 games.

  • Joc Pederson DH | TEX

Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Blasts pinch-hit homer

Pederson hit a two-run home run in Monday's 7-6 win over the Guardians.

Pederson entered the game with one out in the top of the eighth and gave his team the lead with a two-run blast off Scott Barlow. It was Pederson's sixth career pinch-hit home run, and in the process, he became the first Diamondbacks player with go-ahead homers in the seventh inning or later in back-to-back games since 2013. The 32-year-old has caught fire as of late with five home runs and 12 RBI over his last nine games.

  • Zac Gallen SP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Gives up five runs in no-decision

Gallen did not factor into the decision in a win over the Guardians on Monday, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

Gallen snapped a streak of three straight starts with a win despite his team giving him plenty of run support on Monday. Despite throwing at least seven innings for just the second time this season, he just didn't have his best stuff and was constantly in trouble. The 29-year-old hasn't been as sharp as he would like recently, as he's allowed five or more runs in three of his last six outings.
