Doyle is not in Sunday's lineup against the Dodgers.

He sat out Saturday too, so Doyle might be a little banged up to close out the season. Charlie Blackmon is starting in center field and leading off.

Contreras is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Mets.

Contreras will rest for the regular-season finale, as Eric Haase starts behind home plate and bats fifth. Unless he pinch hits Sunday, Contreras will end his second regular season with the Brewers having slashed .281/.365/.466 with 23 home runs and 92 RBIs (both career highs) across 679 plate appearances.

Rodgers (hamstring) is not in Sunday's lineup against the Dodgers.

Rodgers appeared off the bench in Saturday's game after being scratched from the lineup, but he'll remain out of the starting nine in the finale. Aaron Schunk will start at second base and bat eighth.

Amaya is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Reds.

Christian Bethancourt will start behind home plate and bat seventh in the Cubs' regular-season finale. If he doesn't come off the bench Sunday, Amaya will end the 2024 regular season having slashed .232/.288/.357 with eight home runs and 47 RBI across 363 plate appearances.

Bellinger is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Bellinger will begin Sunday's regular-season finale on the bench as Kevin Alcantara starts in right field and bats eighth. Unless he comes in to pinch hit, Bellinger will end the 2024 regular season with a .266/.325/.426 slash line, nine stolen bases, 18 home runs and 78 RBI across 569 plate appearances.

Knack is set to follow Anthony Banda for Sunday's game in Colorado, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Plunkett notes that this could foreshadow how the Dodgers will use Knack in the postseason. The rookie right-hander has a 5.14 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 21 innings over his last five appearances and will make his final trip to the mound of the regular season in Coors Field.

Banda is opening Sunday's game against the Rockies, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Landon Knack will serve as the primary pitcher after Banda exits, foreshadowing how the Dodgers might use Knack in the postseason. Banda returned from the injured list Thursday to throw 1.1 scoreless innings against the Padres.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that he fully expects Rojas (thigh) to be in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The hope was that Rojas would be back Sunday for the regular-season finale, but he will instead get another few days off in advance of the postseason. Rojas is slashing .283/.337/.410 with six home runs and eight steals in 103 games.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that he fully expects Freeman (ankle) to be in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

It's not quite a lock that Freeman will be ready, since the skipper is discussing contingency plans that would involve Enrique Hernandez starting at the hot corner and Max Muncy shifting to first base. Freeman exited Thursday's game with an ankle injury and was seen on crutches and in a walking boot as the Dodgers looked to keep the swelling down.

Swanson is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Luis Vazquez will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Sunday's regular-season finale. Unless he comes in to pinch hit, Swanson will finish the 2024 regular season with a slash line of .242/.312/.390, 19 stolen bases, 16 home runs and 66 RBI across 593 plate appearances.
