Wade isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The left-handed bat of Wade will take a seat on the bench Saturday with fellow left-hander Nick Lodolo slated to start on the bump for Cincinnati. Wilmer Flores will shift to first base as a result, allowing Casey Schmitt to serve as San Francisco's designated hitter while batting eighth.

Soto went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's win over the Astros.

The $765 million man crushed a Hunter Brown cutter off the facing of the second deck in right field in the third inning. It was Soto's first homer as a Met, but he's already shown his value at the top of the order, reaching base in five of his first nine plate appearances with his new club. The 26-year-old has never posted an OBP below .400 in his big-league career, and he doesn't seem interested in breaking that streak in 2025.

Phillips tossed three scoreless innings in Friday's loss to the Pirates, giving up three hits and a walk and striking out one.

Making his Marlins debut, the 27-year-old righty took over from Connor Gillispie in the sixth inning and kept the Bucs at bay over an efficient 23 pitches (15 strikes). Seven of Phillips' eight appearances last year with Philadelphia were starts, and he could be needed for swingman duties in Miami as the team deals with a rash of rotation injuries. While he had some initial success with the Phillies last season, including a four-hit shutout of the Guardians on July 27, he got tagged for 23 earned runs over only 11.2 innings from Aug. 1 on and will be a risky fantasy option if he is eventually needed in the Marlins' rotation.

Pauley went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI in Friday's loss to the Pirates.

The 24-year-old has started back-to-back games at third base for the Marlins to begin the season, going 2-for-6 with a strikeout while batting at the bottom of the order. Pauley appears to be Miami's top option at the hot corner while Connor Norby (oblique) is on the shelf, but Eric Wagaman -- who pinch hit for Pauley in the seventh inning against southpaw Caleb Ferguson -- and Jonah Bride could get short-side platoon work at the position as well.

Steer isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus San Francisco.

After an 0-for-4 performance on Opening Day that saw Steer strike out three times, the 27-year-old will step out of the lineup Saturday. Jeimer Candelario will serve as Cincinnati's designated hitter instead, opening up third base for Santiago Espinal.

Dunn isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

With the Brewers set to face a lefty (Max Fried) for a second consecutive game to open their season, the lefty-hitting Dunn will remain on the bench Saturday while Vinny Capra starts at the hot corner and bats eighth.

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 8-5 victory against the Tigers.

The Dodgers were shut out by Jack Flaherty until the sixth inning, when Freeman tagged his former teammate for a two-run homer to center field. The blast was the first hit of the season for Freeman, who sat out Los Angeles' two-game, season-opening set against the Cubs in Tokyo due to an injury to his ribs. The veteran first baseman appears to be fine now and has been relatively durable in recent campaigns, as he hasn't missed time due to an injured-list stint since 2017.

Cronenworth went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Friday in a 4-3 win against Atlanta.

Cronenworth's long ball was an eighth-inning shot that broke a 3-3 tie and ultimately provided the winning margin for the Padres. Through two contests, Cronenworth has gone 2-for-7 with a walk. He's started at second base in each game so far, and that figures to be his primary position throughout the campaign despite the fact that he logged ample time at first base last season.

Thomas went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored in Friday's 8-1 win over the Cubs.

Thomas, who was on the bench against a lefty Thursday, was in the lineup Friday against a right-hander. Jake McCarthy started in center field Thursday, but the situation will not be a strict platoon since both are lefty batters. One thing for certain is Thomas' poor track record against southpaws.

Smith started at designated hitter and batted fifth in Friday's 8-1 win over the Cubs, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored.

Smith was on the bench for Thursday's season opener against a lefty but made his first start Friday with a righty on the mound. The lefty hitter is coming off an encouraging season in which he achieved career highs in slugging, hard-hit and barrel rates. Smith will be given the chance to hold down the strong side of a platoon at DH, while Randal Grichuk should be in the lineup against lefties.
