Martini went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Wednesday against the Phillies.

Martini continues to serve as Colorado's primary designated hitter against right-handed pitching, though he cedes occasional starts there when Hunter Goodman gets an off day from catching duties. Martini has maintained a decent .250 batting average, but he has only one home run with four RBI and nine runs scored across 97 plate appearances.

McLain went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Pirates.

McLain is 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts over the last four games. On May 13, manager Terry Francona dropped him from second in the order to the lower third, and McLain looked like he was breaking out of a season-opening slump while going 6-for-18, but the pendulum has swung back in the subsequent four contests. Both his strikeout (32.8) and whiff (31.0) percentages have increased relative to his rookie 2023 season. The good news is that McLain makes solid contact when he does hit the ball, with an 11.8 barrel percentage and 47.3 percent hard-hit rate.

Goodman went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base Wednesday against the Phillies.

Goodman went hitless across the first two games of the Rockies' homestand but delivered a well-rounded line Wednesday. He remains one of Colorado's most consistent hitters and has hit .313 with two homers, 17 RBI and eight runs scored across 19 games in May.

The Reds optioned Richardson to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

Cincinnati will announce a corresponding roster move Friday, when Hunter Greene (groin) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start the Reds' series opener versus the Cubs. Richardson has allowed just three runs (two earned) over 13.2 innings out of the Reds bullpen this season, although he struck out only seven batters.

Benson, who was held out of the lineup for a second straight day against a lefty, entered Wednesday's game as a pinch runner and was caught stealing.

Benson has a career .138 average and .451 OPS against southpaws, so holding him out of starting lineups against them is expected. He finished the game in right field. Following Thursday's off day, the Reds return home Friday to face the Cubs and left-hander Matthew Boyd, which means Benson could sit a third straight game.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Marte whacked a no-doubter into the right-field stands at Dodger Stadium to give Arizona the lead in the fourth inning. It was his second home run in four games. Marte missed nearly a month with a hamstring injury, and there were timing issues initially upon his return in early May. However, the second baseman has rediscovered his swing, posting a .277/.393/.745 line with seven home runs and 10 RBI over the last 13 contests.

Del Castillo (shoulder) served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored for the ACL Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Del Castillo began a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League as he works back from a shoulder strain that idled him for nearly two months. He emerged as a prospect in 2024 at Triple-A Reno and acquitted himself well in a cup of coffee in the majors. The view is that Del Castillo needs improvement in some areas behind the plate, but the bat could play in the majors. Once ready, he's expected to be assigned to Reno.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in a 3-1 win against Arizona on Wednesday.

Corbin Burnes frustrated Los Angeles batters for most of the night, but Hernandez made the veteran hurler pay for his lone mistake with a three-run blast on a slider over the plate in the sixth inning. That long ball stood up as the Dodgers' only extra-base hit in the contest and provided the decisive runs in the 3-1 win. This was just Hernandez's third game (and second start) following a two-week stint on the IL, and the homer was the All-Star outfielder's first hit since his return to action.

Burnes (3-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over seven innings.

Burnes stymied Los Angeles through six scoreless frames and clung to a one-run lead entering the seventh. In that frame, an infield single by Miguel Rojas and a Mookie Betts single that just got out of the infield put runners on the corners, but Burnes was able to strike out Freddie Freeman to get within an out of escaping the jam. However, the veteran hurler threw a slider that got too much of the plate, and Teoscar Hernandez jumped on it for a three-run homer that spoiled Burnes' outing and resulted in a loss. Despite that mistake, Burnes managed his fourth straight quality start, and over that stretch he's compiled a 1.38 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB over 26 innings.

Scott earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.

Scott blew a save opportunity while giving up three runs (two earned) over 1.2 frames Tuesday, but he was right back on the mound one day later despite having thrown 28 pitches in that outing. This time the southpaw got the job done, throwing 12 of 14 pitches for strikes and fanning two batters en route to an impressive 1-2-3 frame. Seven different Dodgers relievers have a save this season, but Scott is the clear leader of the pack with 10 saves (no other Dodgers pitcher has more than two). As such, he should be viewed as one of fantasy's most desirable relievers despite the fact that he'll occasionally be used in high-leverage situations before the ninth inning.
