Arraez (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The Phillies will give Arraez the day off after he made an early exit in Saturday's 12-3 win due to cramping near his hamstring. Interim manager Don Mattingly hasn't suggested that Arraez is dealing with anything more serious, so the 29-year-old is trending toward a return to the lineup Monday in Seattle. Bryson Stott will get the nod at second base while Arraez sits for the first time since the Phillies acquired him from the Giants on Aug. 3.

Atlanta recalled Hicklen from Triple-A Gwinnett to serve as the 27th player for Sunday's Little League Classic against the Brewers.

After playing the first two games of the series in Milwaukee, the two clubs will head to Williamsport for the finale, so they'll each get an extra player for the contest. Hicklen was up with Atlanta for a couple weeks in July and performed well in his limited opportunities, going 7-for-23 with four walks, four doubles, three RBI and five runs in eight games.

Baez went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's 12-3 loss to the Phillies.

After slugging home runs in his first three MLB at-bats following his promotion from Triple-A Memphis, Baez has gone 2-for-29 with a home run, two steals and a 3:12 BB:K in his subsequent 34 trips to the plate. Baez's struggles with making consistent contact may continue to suppress his batting average -- which now sits at .156 -- but his impressive power/speed profile along with his stranglehold on an everyday role should still make him worthy of rostering in most fantasy leagues.

Griffin (finger) took swings Friday as he continues to ramp up baseball activities, MLB.com reports.

Griffin is currently working out at the Pirates' facility in Florida. Manager Don Kelly didn't have many details, but he said the initial reports indicate the session went well. Griffin is trending toward a return in early September.

McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Guardians.

McCarthy made an early impact with his speed, reaching base on an infield single to lead off the first inning before proceeding to steal second base. He now has 23 steals this season, and he has swiped three bases in his last five games. McCarthy has remained a strong fantasy contributor, hitting .313 with three homers, nine RBI, 17 runs scored and six stolen bases across 19 games in August.

Wilkinson is slated to start Sunday's game against the Red Sox in Boston.

Wilkinson will be making his second appearance after tossing two scoreless innings as a starter in his MLB debut Wednesday in Cleveland. Since he'll be taking the hill on just three days' rest, Wilkinson is likely to be deployed as more of an opener Sunday, even though he had gotten fully stretched out at Triple-A Sacramento prior to his call-up earlier in the week. The Giants are likely to treat the series finale at Fenway Park as a bullpen game and will lean on a number of relievers to cover the remaining innings once Wilkinson exits.

Busch went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

The first baseman went back to back with Alex Bregman in the top of the sixth inning, giving Busch 16 home runs on the season and two long balls in his last four games. He also has 65 RBI and a .744 OPS across 128 contests. Busch seems unlikely to match last year's marks of 34 homers, 90 RBI and an .866 OPS, but he's still been a useful fantasy contributor in 2026.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

A day after going deep twice, Bregman recorded another home run to get to 19 long balls on the year. The veteran third baseman has tallied eight of those homers in 20 games this month, and he's sporting a robust 1.032 OPS in August. Bregman is on the cusp of another 20-homer campaign, which would be the sixth of his career across 11 MLB seasons.

Dion struck out four and allowed one hit and two walks over three innings in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Marlins.

Brad Lord made his third consecutive appearance as a starter but was once again held under three innings, clearing the way for Dion to follow him in bulk relief. Dion has looked sharp in each of his three outings behind Lord, yielding no runs and giving up just two hits while posting a 12:3 K:BB in 10.1 innings during that stretch. The Nationals are likely to eventually get a potential starter in DJ Herz (elbow) back from the 60-day injured list in September, but until that happens, the Lord and Dion tandem could remain in place when the fifth spot in the rotation comes up.

Though Lord has now started in three consecutive appearances, the Nationals don't seem to be looking to stretch him out. He's seen his pitch count drop in each successive start, as he threw just 31 pitches before getting pulled midway through the third inning Friday. Will Dion has worked in bulk relief in each of Lord's last three starts, and the two could continue to work in tandem when the fifth spot in the rotation comes up until the Nationals get one of DJ Herz (elbow) or Connelly Early (elbow) back from the injured list.
