Perez dropped to 0-1 in Monday's 10-3 loss to the Pirates after giving up four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five over three innings.

Perez was likely operating with a restricted workload in his first major-league start since 2023 after completing his long road back from Tommy John surgery. Though Perez had some shaky command in his 2025 MLB debut, he touched 99 miles per hour with his fastball on eight of his 70 pitches. The Pirates did all of their damage against him in a four-run third inning, when they got five consecutive hitters to reach base to begin the frame. Perez possesses plenty of swing-and-miss stuff, but it could take him some time to settle back in at the big-league level. He'll try to stretch out a bit further in his next outing, currently projected for this Sunday against the Nationals.

Stowers (hand) went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Monday's 10-3 loss to the Pirates.

Stowers was cleared to return to the starting lineup after missing four straight games due to hand soreness. He came through with a base knock in the top of the eighth inning and later scored on an RBI double by Connor Norby. The club will presumably keep a close eye on Stowers' hand heading into the second matchup of the series Tuesday.

Palencia (0-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk across an inning of work to take the loss Monday against the Phillies.

Palencia was tasked with working the bottom of the 10th inning in a 2-2 game, and outside of an intentional walk to Kyle Schwarber, he was able to get through the frame fairly quickly. The 11th was a different story, however, as the righty allowed four straight hits to take his second loss of the year. Palencia isn't often asked to work more than one inning, as he's retired four or more batters just four times in 21 appearances. Despite the hiccup, the 25-year-old has been solid with a 1.96 ERA, and he should remain Chicago's top closing option for the time being, though Porter Hodge (oblique/hip) could join the mix at some point when he's healthy. Opening Day closer Ryan Pressly is also pitching better after a rough start, so Palencia will need to pitch well to keep his grip on the role.

Miley (1-0) collected the win Monday against the Guardians after giving up three runs on five hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out two.

Miley was inefficient in his first start of the year, tossing just 42 of his 78 pitches for strikes, and he also generated a mere three whiffs. The 38-year-old journeyman left-hander now has a 9.00 ERA, 2.14 WHIP and 2:4 K:BB covering seven innings, but he figures to remain in Cincinnati's rotation until Hunter Greene (groin) returns from the injured list. Even so, Miley should be avoided as a fantasy streamer in most situations in his next scheduled outing against the first-place Tigers, who own an .804 OPS versus southpaws since May 1.

Snell (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Snell made about 10 throws off a mound over the weekend to a standing catcher, per Plunkett, and he's now ready to take the next step in his throwing progression by completing what the Dodgers are terming as a "touch-and-feel" bullpen session. The lefty hasn't tossed from a mound since experiencing a setback in late April, so he'll likely need to make it through at least a few side sessions before facing live hitters.

Glasnow (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday in Los Angeles, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.

Glasnow has been moving in the right direction since it was reported at the end of May that he was experiencing general body soreness after throwing. "He's doing really well," stated manager Dave Roberts. "Very excited and anxious to start facing some hitters. So that's coming too." If all goes well during Glasnow's side session, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him gain clearance for live BP later in the week.

Go (finger) allowed one hit and struck out one across a scoreless inning for Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Go began the 2025 season on the 7-day injured list due to a fractured right index finger, and he's since been cleared to return to Triple-A after wrapping up a rehab assignment. He's fired a pair of scoreless frames since being activated from the IL, striking out two batters in the process.

Sheehan (elbow) is expected to work at least four innings during his next rehab start, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Sheehan has looked solid during his time in the minors, working three frames in each of his last two appearances at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The right-hander may only need to make one more start at Triple-A before the club considers activating him from the 60-day IL, as skipper Dave Roberts stated Monday that there could be a conversation about adding Sheehan to the big-league rotation following his next rehab appearance.

Puk (elbow) has been cleared to throw out to 120 feet, Arizona Sports reports.

Puk, who was placed on the 15-day injured list April 19 due to left elbow inflammation and was shifted to the 60-day IL on May 1, continues to make steady progress in his throwing program. The team still hasn't provided a firm timetable for the southpaw's return, though he's eligible to be activated July 1.

Karros (undisclosed) has gone 3-for-15 with two RBI, four runs and one stolen base in six games since being activated from Double-A Hartford's 7-day injured list last Tuesday.

Karros is off to a slow start at the dish since returning from an unspecified injury, but he was firing on all cylinders prior to landing on the IL. The 22-year-old is hitting .312 with two home runs and five stolen bases in 28 games for Hartford on the season.
