Castillo (finger) is being eased into action this spring, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

While Castillo appears healthy entering the campaign, the Padres have elected to nudge him along slowly following a season in which injuries to his forearm and finger limited the southpaw to a combined 8.2 innings between the minors and majors. Manager Jayce Tingler did not provide a target date for Castillo to take the mound in a game, but he has not yet ruled out the possibility of the reliever making the Opening Day roster.

Guerra has pitched three scoreless innings this spring, allowing two hits and striking out three.

Guerra is perhaps the most intriguing player among a host of talented Padres relievers as the converted shortstop is capable of touching triple-digits with his fastball but has only a season of experience on the mound. The right-hander's chances of making the Opening Day roster are by no means guaranteed, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, but they are enhanced by the fact that he pitched well in the minors last season and no longer has minor-league options.

Nelson (lower body) has started playing catch but is no longer in consideration for an Opening Day rotation spot, per Dodger Insider.

Nelson, who signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers in January, has yet to throw in a Cactus League game while dealing with injuries to his groin and back and subsequent lower-body discomfort. With Opening Day less than four weeks away, Nelson's opportunity to seize a spot in the rotation has come and gone. Still, manager Dave Roberts indicated that the veteran right-hander could feasibly open the campaign in the bullpen and build up over the course of the season, so he has not yet been removed from the team's plans.

Arano (elbow) is throwing regular bullpens but is expected to open the season on the injured list, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Arano is still making his way back from arthroscopic elbow surgery back in May. He was slowed by shoulder soreness over the offseason but appears to be making progress now. That progress is apparently too delayed from him to make the Opening Day roster, but there haven't been any indications that he's set for an extended absence.

Martin (oblique) threw a live batting practice session Monday and could make his Grapefruit League debut soon, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Martin suffered an oblique injury in the NLDS in October. He's been eased into action this spring and still has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day.

Cabrera is dealing with a cracked fingernail on his left hand that forced him to exit Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Cabrera appeared to avoid a serious injury after leaving Monday's game, and it's unlikely that he'll miss much, if any, time as a result. The southpaw allowed two walks and one hit while recording one strikeout over one scoreless inning against the Twins prior to his departure.

Webb (elbow) will make his second appearance of the spring Tuesday against Tampa Bay, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Webb missed the second half of last season with an elbow issue which eventually required arthroscopic surgery. While the Braves have been cautious with him early in camp, he should still have time to build up by Opening Day. He's so far faced just a single batter in Grapefruit League action.

Minter (shoulder) is scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut Saturday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Manager Brian Snitker provided an update on Minter on Friday saying that he was healthy and throwing well, and he's now on tap to debut Saturday. The 26-year-old was shut down at the end of last season with shoulder inflammation, and the Braves have brought him along slowly this spring as a precautionary measure. Minter isn't a lock to make the Opening Day roster, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him in the majors at some point in 2020, even though he may not play a prominent role in the bullpen.

Cabrera exited Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins with an apparent injury, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera had an impressive outing during his first start of the spring Wednesday, but he was forced to exit Monday's game with trainers while potentially favoring his hand. The exact nature and severity of the injury are not yet known. The southpaw is in contention for a spot in the Cardinals' bullpen to begin the season, but it's unclear whether he'll be forced to miss time as a result of his injury.

Rodriguez will undergo an MRI on his right biceps, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Rodriguez left his outing Sunday against Seattle with what was originally called right biceps discomfort. The Cubs are evidently fairly concerned with the injury, which makes sense, as biceps issues are sometimes the precursor to a lengthy absence. Rodriguez's timeline should become clear once the results of his MRI are known.
