  • Tim Hill RP | NYY

Yankees' Tim Hill: Serves up another long ball Sunday

Hill was charged with a blown save Sunday against the Nationals, as he gave up one run on one hit while striking out one batter over two-thirds of an inning.

Hill took the mound in the sixth inning following starter Will Warren, who tossed five frames of one-run ball. After Hill struck out the first batter he faced, he then gave up a game-tying solo home run to Curtis Mead. Sunday marked the third time over Hill's past five outings that he's given up at least one homer, and he's yielded four total runs across 4.2 innings during that span. The lefty reliever concludes the first half with a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB while notching eight holds over 36 innings spanning 43 appearances.

  • Paul Blackburn RP | NYY

Yankees' Paul Blackburn: Registers first save

Blackburn earned a save against Washington on Sunday, striking out two batters over two perfect innings.

Blackburn entered the contest in the bottom of the eighth inning after New York took a one-run lead in the top of the frame. The veteran righty retired the side in order on 17 pitches, and manager Aaron Boone elected to stick with Blackburn for the bottom of the ninth after the Yankees tacked on an insurance run in the top of the frame. Blackburn was even more effective in his final inning, needing just four pitches to set the side down in order again. The save was the first of the campaign for the hurler, who has primarily worked in middle relief this season. His opportunity to close Sunday was due to David Bednar being deployed each of the previous two days and throwing 38 total pitches during that span. With that in mind, fantasy managers need not consider Blackburn off the waiver wire as a source of additional saves.

  • Ian Seymour RP | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Knocked around in loss

Seymour (6-2) took the loss Sunday against the Mariners, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

After a clean first inning, Seymour ran into trouble in the second, allowing five batters to reach as Seattle plated three runs. He gave up a solo homer to Weston Wilson in the fourth before exiting later in the inning with two runners aboard. Cole Sulser replaced him and immediately surrendered a three-run homer to Randy Arozarena. In seven appearances as a starter or bulk reliever this season, Seymour has posted a 4.13 ERA with a 42:9 K:BB across 33.2 innings.

  • Josh Hader RP | HOU

Astros' Josh Hader: Takes walk-off loss

Hader (3-1) allowed a run on three hits while failing to record an out, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rangers.

Hader was called upon in a non-save situation Sunday, but he failed to keep the game tied at 5-5. He allowed a walk-off single to Brandon Nimmo. It's just the second time in 17 appearances Hader has given up a run this season, and he remains a perfect 10-for-10 in save chances. Hader has added a 1.17 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB over 15.1 innings as the Astros' unquestioned closer since making his season debut June 3.

  • Andrew Morris RP | MIN

Twins' Andrew Morris: Picks up two-inning save

Morris allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two over two scoreless innings to earn the save in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Angels.

Yoendrys Gomez pitched Saturday, but it's unclear if that played a role in Morris staying in for a second inning to get the save. Morris has plenty of experience with longer outings -- he's recorded four or more outs in 13 of his 35 appearances (two starts) this season while working his way into the high-leverage mix. He's at a 3.33 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB with three saves, 13 holds and two blown saves over 46 innings. While Morris has worked as a starter in the minors, both of his starts in the majors have been as the opener of bullpen games, so it's unlikely he'll get fully stretched out in 2026.

  • Chad Dallas RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Chad Dallas: Demoted to Triple-A

The Blue Jays optioned Dallas to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Toronto will swap Dallas out of its bullpen for a fresher right-handed arm in CJ Van Eyk, who was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Dallas is likely to re-enter the rotation at Triple-A after making his first two MLB appearances in relief for Toronto.

  • Chris Martin RP | TEX

Rangers' Chris Martin: Lands on injured list

The Rangers placed Martin on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a right shoulder impingement.

It's unclear when Martin sustained the injury, but he's been struggling of late with seven runs allowed in his past five outings. The veteran right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated in late July.

  • David Bednar RP | NYY

Yankees' David Bednar: Extends scoreless streak in save

Bednar secured the save Saturday against the Nationals, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one.

Washington got the potential tying run to the plate, but Bednar hung on to successfully convert his eighth straight save chance. The 31-year-old right-hander has been especially dominant of late and is now riding a scoreless streak of 19 innings. Through 40 frames for the year, Bednar boasts a 2.70 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 45:12 K:BB with 18 saves in 20 opportunities.

  • Yoendrys Gomez RP | MIN

Twins' Yoendrys Gomez: Notches 11th save

Gomez gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 11th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Angels. He struck out one.

The right-hander continues to impress at the back of the Twins' bullpen. Gomez has gone 10-for-10 in converting save chances since being acquired from the Rays in early May, producing a 1.71 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB over 26.1 innings for his new club.

  • Grant Taylor RP | CHW

White Sox's Grant Taylor: Collects fourth save

Taylor recorded his fourth save of the season in Saturday's 1-0 win over the A's, walking one and striking out two over 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.

The 24-year-old right-hander closed out the combined shutout, needing 22 pitches (14 strikes) to produce the final five outs. Taylor has collected two of Chicago's three saves in July, with the third going to southpaw Sean Newcomb, and the duo could handle the closing duties for the White Sox the rest of the way unless the club picks up a late-inning arm at the trade deadline. On the season, Taylor sports a 2.79 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 67:17 K:BB through 48.1 innings.
