Brewers manager Pat Murphy said after Sunday's 12-8 loss to the Reds that Harrison could be shifted to a relief role or make shorter planned starts, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The left-hander took a no-decision in the loss, giving up six runs (four earned) on nine hits and four walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings.

For a second straight start, Harrison was limited to exactly 3.2 innings, and he hasn't pitched beyond five frames in his past eight outings. In just his last five starts alone, he's surrendered 24 runs, including 10 home runs. Whether it's making shorter starts or working out of the bullpen, either role would likely result in reduced fantasy relevance for Harrison, whose upside has already been limited due to his recent struggles.

Montgomery earned the save in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Angels, allowing a walk while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Montgomery improved to 10-for-12 in save chances this season while extending his scoreless streak to 17.1 innings -- he's allowed just seven hits while striking out 27 in that span. Montgomery's ERA is down to 2.87 on the season with a 1.06 WHIP and 92:23 K:BB across 59.2 innings.

Taylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

After he had been included in the lineup in each of the last four games while the Padres went up against four left-handed starters, the right-handed-hitting Taylor will head to the bench while the Yankees send righty Gerrit Cole to the bump. Taylor looks like he'll have to settle for the short side of a platoon in left field with Dustin Harris for the time being.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Fermin will hit the bench for the third time in four games and looks like he'll be part of a three-way timeshare at catcher as the season winds down after the Padres recently called up top prospect Ethan Salas from Triple-A El Paso. Though he's a reliable defender behind the plate, Fermin has mustered a lowly .563 OPS over 240 plate appearances on the season.

Skenes (10-11) earned the win Sunday over the Angels, allowing four hits and a walk over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out two.

While Skenes wasn't exactly dominant Sunday, he managed to hold the Angels scoreless in a strong bounce-back performance after he gave up five runs in 4.2 innings against the Giants his last time out. It's Skenes' first win since July 19 -- he'd gone 0-3 with a 5.77 ERA across 34.1 innings in his previous seven outings. Overall, the 24-year-old Skenes sports a 3.83 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP and 181:45 K:BB across 29 starts (155 innings) this season. He's currently in line for a road matchup with the Cubs his next time out.

Amador will start at second base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Amador has been the main beneficiary of a left heel injury to Willi Castro, which sent the infielder to the shelf Saturday. The 23-year-old will cover the keystone for a third straight game and will stay in the lineup for the fifth consecutive contest overall after going 7-for-15 with a home run, a double, a walk, three RBI and four runs since being recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

Norby is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Norby will get a breather after he had started in each of the last 13 games while slashing .271/.375/.354 with one home run, one double, seven walks, nine RBI and eight runs during that stretch. Vimael Machin will get the nod at third base in his stead Sunday, but Norby should have a clear path to an everyday role while Kyle Karros (concussion) and Willi Castro (foot) remain on the shelf.

The Cardinals optioned Rincon to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

He'll give up his spot on the 28-man active roster to left-hander Cooper Hjerpe, who is expected to pitch behind starter Kyle Leahy in Sunday's game against the Rockies. After getting his first big-league call-up Sept. 1, Rincon appeared in two games out of the St. Louis bullpen and surrendered seven earned runs on five hits and one walk over 1.1 innings.

Fermin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Fermin is on the bench for a third straight game and looks like he'll be ticketed for a short-side platoon role in the St. Louis infield. The Cardinals have been prioritizing Bryan Torres, Thomas Saggese and Nolan Gorman ahead of Fermin against right-handed pitching while all of Masyn Winn (thumb), JJ Wetherholt (wrist) and Blaze Jordan (ankle) are on the injured list.

Perdomo was removed from Sunday's game against the Astros after being struck in the head by a line drive, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

After Perdomo started the top of the third inning with a single, teammate Ketel Marte hit a 93-mph liner that Perdomo was unable to avoid. The 26-year-old shortstop was called out for runner's interference and was able to leave the field under his own power, but he was replaced defensively for the bottom half of the frame. Perdomo was diagnosed with a head contusion and will continue to be evaluated.
