Strider (7-13) earned the win Sunday over the Tigers, allowing six hits and three walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Strider has won back-to-back starts while posting a 2.10 ERA over his last five outings (30 innings). The right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.45 with a 1.38 WHIP and 126:49 K:BB through 22 starts (119.1 innings) this season. Strider is tentatively lined up to face the Pirates at home his next time out.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Extends hitting streak to 10 games

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during the Mets' 3-2 loss to the Nationals on Sunday.

Lindor reduced the deficit to one run in the sixth frame with a solo shot off Jake Irvin. It was Lindor's 28th homer of 2025, putting him two away from logging 30 home runs for a third consecutive season. He is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak, and over that span he has gone 13-for-39 (.333) with three steals, 13 runs, two homers and three RBI.

  • Sean Manaea RP | NYM

Mets' Sean Manaea: Yields three runs in second frame

Manaea (2-4) took the loss against the Nationals on Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out three across three innings. He did not issue a walk.

All three of the runs Manaea yielded came in the second inning, highlighted by a Nasim Nunez two-run homer. Manaea was pulled from the game in the fourth frame after tossing 50 pitches (36 strikes) and couldn't escape the loss despite the Nationals not scoring the rest of the way. Manaea sits at a 5.59 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 58 innings this season and is slated to start against the Marlins next weekend in Miami.

  • Nasim Nunez 2B | WAS

Nationals' Nasim Nunez: Goes deep in win

Nunez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer during the Nationals' 3-2 win over the Mets on Sunday.

Nunez capped off the Nationals' three-run second inning with a two-run shot off Sean Manaea. Since being recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Sept. 1, he has gone 6-for-26 (.231 average) with three home runs, one steal and seven RBI. Nunez should continue to fill a utility role for the Nationals in the final week of the season, with most of his starts likely to come against left-handed pitching.

  • Nationals' Mitchell Parker: Collects long-relief save

Parker earned a save in the Nationals' 3-2 win over the Mets on Sunday. He allowed two hits and no walks while striking out two across 3.2 scoreless innings.

Parker was dispatched in the sixth inning with two men on base and one out and managed to maintain the Nationals' one-run cushion by getting Jeff McNeil to pop out before striking out Mark Vientos. Parker remained in the game over the following three innings and successfully kept the Mets off the board to collect the first save of his major-league career. The 25-year-old southpaw posted a 7.19 ERA and 1.54 WHIP (across 56.1 innings) in 11 starts since the All-Star break, which prompted the Nationals to move Parker to the bullpen Friday.

  • Jared Triolo 3B | PIT

Pirates' Jared Triolo: Big day in win

Triolo went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, three total RBI and an additional run scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the A's.

Triolo extended Pittsburgh's lead to 4-0 in the second inning with a 402-foot blast off Mitch Spence, his seventh homer this year. Triolo's four hits Sunday also marked a season high. The 27-year-old infielder is batting .304 with an .879 OPS and four homers in his last 30 contests.

  • Jake Irvin SP | WAS

Nationals' Jake Irvin: Captures ninth win of 2025

Irvin (9-13) earned the win against the Mets on Sunday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five across 5.1 innings.

Irvin entered Sunday's game having lost eight of his last nine starts with a 9.00 ERA and 1.86 WHIP across 42 innings. He was supplied with a three-run lead early and was working on his first quality start since July 27 against the Twins before being pulled in the sixth inning. Irvin is slated to start next weekend at home against the White Sox, when he'll look to capture his 10th win of the season.

  • Vidal Brujan SS | NYM

Braves' Vidal Brujan: Exits with hip injury

Brujan was removed from Sunday's game against the Tigers with right hip tightness.

Brujan, who picked up a start at third base Sunday, went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored prior to exiting and being replaced by Luke Williams. Given that Brujan rarely starts -- he had eight at-bats this month prior to Sunday -- he may not return to the lineup as soon as he's healthy.

  • Joey Bart C | PIT

Pirates' Joey Bart: Four hits, homer in win

Bart went 4-for-4 with a double, a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the A's.

It's the second four-hit game this season for Bart, who's homered in back-to-back contests after hitting just one home run in his previous 80 games. Overall, the 28-year-old Bart is slashing .251/.358/.345 with four homers, 29 RBI and 21 runs scored across 321 plate appearances this season.

  • Brandon Marsh LF | PHI

Phillies' Brandon Marsh: Sitting against southpaw

Marsh is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

The left-handed-hitting Marsh will take a seat for the Phillies' second straight matchup with a left-handed starting pitcher (Eduardo Rodriguez). With fellow lefty Max Kepler joining Marsh on the bench, the Phillies will roll with an all right-handed-hitting outfield of Weston Wilson, Harrison Bader and Nick Castellanos from left to right.
