  • Padres' Jase Bowen: Homers in Friday's win

Bowen went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-0 win over the Giants. This was Bowen's second multi-hit effort in July, though he hit safely in just four of 20 games during the month. The outfielder continues to fill more of a part-time role, making most of his starts as a platoon partner for Gavin Sheets in left field. Bowen hit .222 in July and is at .167 with a .456 OPS across 63 plate appearances this season. He's added one homer, six RBI, nine runs scored, two doubles and four stolen bases.

  • Padres' Jase Bowen: Picks up third steal

Bowen went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Atlanta. Bowen hadn't collected a hit since June 8 versus the Reds. He's served as a part-time option in the outfield, most often working in right field when Fernando Tatis is at second base. Bowen is hitting just .133 with a .355 OPS, three steals and three runs scored over 32 plate appearances this season.

  • Padres' Jase Bowen: Swipes two bags Monday

Bowen went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and two stolen bases in Monday's 6-2 win against Cincinnati. Bowen logged his second straight start in right field, with Fernando Tatis again handling the keystone. The Padres got a lot of production from the bottom of their order, including from Bowen, who notched his first multi-hit game as a big-leaguer and reached base three times. He also stole his first two bases, flashing the above-average speed that is a big part of his skill set. Bowen has swiped 20-plus bags in the minors every year since 2022, so he could be an asset in that regard if he plays often enough and is able to consistently reach base.

  • Padres' Jase Bowen: Absent from lineup

Bowen is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Philadelphia. Bowen was called up Tuesday and started the last two games for the Padres, going 1-for-7 with four strikeouts. He'll take a seat for Thursday's series finale as the Padres go with Gavin Sheets and Bryce Johnson as their corner outfielders.
