Max Kepler RF | PHI
Phillies' Max Kepler: Idle against southpaw
Kepler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The left-handed-hitting Kepler had started in each of the last five games -- including twice against left-handed pitchers -- but he'll hit the bench Sunday while the Diamondbacks send southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez to the hill. The Phillies will run out an outfield of Weston Wilson, Harrison Bader and Nick Castellanos from left to right in the series finale.

Diamondbacks' Alek Thomas: Taking seat against southpaw
Thomas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
Southpaw Ranger Suarez is on the bump for Arizona, so the left-handed-hitting Thomas will exit the lineup and receive his first day off since Sept. 9. Jorge Barrosa will replace Thomas in center field and will bat ninth.

Jake McCarthy LF | COL
Diamondbacks' Jake McCarthy: Idle against southpaw
McCarthy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
After starting in each of the last five games, the left-handed-hitting McCarthy will bow out of the lineup while the Phillies send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the hill. Tim Tawa will check in for McCarthy in left field and will bat seventh.

James McCann C | ARI
Diamondbacks' James McCann: Getting rest Sunday
McCann is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
After catching all nine innings of Saturday night's 4-3 win, McCann will rest for the day game. Gabriel Moreno will settle in behind the dish for Arizona.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Idle Sunday
Edman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Edman will hit the bench for the second time in six games, paving the way for Miguel Rojas to pick up a start at the keystone. Since returning from the injured list Sept. 10, Edman has split time between second base and center field and has gone 6-for-28 (.214 average) with one home run, one walk, four RBI and five runs in seven games.
-
Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Earning more work at 2B
Rojas will start at second base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Giants.
Rojas will occupy the keystone for the fourth time in five games and has made a case for serving as the Dodgers' primary option at the position over Tommy Edman, who has posted a meager .555 OPS since returning from the injured list Sept. 10. During that same stretch, Rojas is slashing .333/.400/.519 with three extra-base hits, three walks and two stolen bases in nine games.

Ben Rortvedt C | NYM
Dodgers' Ben Rortvedt: Ceding start to Rushing
Rortvedt is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Rortvedt will give way to Dalton Rushing behind the plate after starting in four of the Dodgers' previous five contests. Though Rushing brings more offensive upside to the table, the Dodgers could prefer to go with the superior defensive option in Rortvedt behind the dish until Will Smith (hand) is cleared for game action.
-
Teoscar Hernandez LF | LAD
Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Exiting lineup Sunday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Hernandez will get his first day off since Sept. 7, ending a stretch of 12 consecutive starts for the 32-year-old. Alex Call will get the nod in right field in Hernandez's stead.

Andrew Knizner C | SEA
Giants' Andrew Knizner: Picking up rare start
Knizner is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
With top backstop Patrick Bailey receiving a routine day off, Knizner will pick up his 24th start of the season. Knizner heads into Sunday's contest with a .222/.282/.278 slash line, one home run, three RBI and 11 runs through 79 plate appearances with San Francisco.
