Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Puts team on board early
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Marlins.
Steer popped a leadoff homer in the bottom of the second inning to put the Reds ahead early. The home run was his 15th of the season and fifth over the last 10 games. Following a slow start, Steer's bat has come alive since June 1, as the third baseman has posted a line of .276/.337/.520 with nine home runs, 10 doubles and 25 RBI over 39 contests.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Homers again
Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 10-6 win over Miami.
Candelario cracked his second home run in as many days and has at least one hit in four straight games, during which he's gone 5-for-15 with four RBI. He's up to 16 home runs over 84 games and is taking aim at the career-high 22 logged over 140 games in 2023.

Santiago Espinal 3B | TEX
Reds' Santiago Espinal: Takes over at second base
Espinal entered Saturday's 10-6 win over the Marlins to play second base after Jonathan India (knee) was removed from the game in the top of the fourth inning. Espinal finished 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.
India sustained a left knee contusion on a steal attempt during the second frame and remained in the game for one more inning before his removal. He was scratched from a game earlier this week due to the same injury. The Reds may opt to have India sit on Sunday, the final game before the All-Star break. Miami is scheduled to start a lefty (Trevor Rogers), so the right-handed-hitting Espinal is likely to play in some capacity even if India is available.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Delivers run in return
Gurriel went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over Toronto.
Gurriel returned to the lineup Saturday after missing two games due to general soreness. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of the last nine games, going 10-for-40 with eight RBI.

Miguel Castro RP | CHW
Diamondbacks' Miguel Castro: Throws scoreless inning
Castro allowed one hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Castro made his first appearance since being activated off the injured list Thursday. He pitched a scoreless eighth inning with the Diamondbacks ahead 8-1. Castro had missed nearly three months with shoulder inflammation.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Gets aboard four times in win
Marte went 2-for-3 with two walks, one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Marte earned his third multi-hit effort in his last four games. The second baseman is batting .297 (11-for-37) with three steals over 10 games in July as he continues to provide well-rounded offensive production from the top-third of the order. Overall, Marte has 18 home runs, six steals, 53 RBI, 63 runs scored and a .288/.359/.506 slash line across 404 plate appearances this season.

Jose Herrera C | TEX
Diamondbacks' Jose Herrera: Racks up three hits in win
Herrera went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Blue Jays.
This was Herrera's first multi-hit effort of the season. The backup catcher is now batting .368 with no home runs, four RBI, four runs scored and one double over 23 plate appearances. While he's done well in limited action, Herrera is unlikely to see more than a couple of starts per week behind primary catcher Gabriel Moreno.

Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Slugs 10th homer
Suarez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Suarez got Arizona to double digits with his eighth-inning blast. The third baseman's bat has come alive in July with four homers and 12 RBI over his last seven contests. For the season, he's maintained a .211/.298/.363 line with 10 long balls, 46 RBI, 38 runs scored and two stolen bases over 92 games.
-
Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Breaks out with two homers
Carroll went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, one walk, six RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Carroll hit a three-run blast in the seventh inning and added a two-run homer one inning later as Arizona romped to victory. With three homers over his last six games, it's possible the outfielder is building toward a strong second half. For the season, he has just five long balls to go with a .213/.300/.335 slash line, 32 RBI, 60 runs scored, 18 stolen bases, 16 doubles and six triples over 93 contests.

Yilber Diaz RP | DET
Diamondbacks' Yilber Diaz: Cruises to first win
Diaz (1-0) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings, earning the win Saturday over the Blue Jays.
Diaz has opened his major-league career with a pair of quality starts, allowing one run over six innings in each of them. The Blue Jays' lone run against him was on a sacrifice fly in the second inning. Diaz has also posted a 7:3 K:BB over 12 innings. The 23-year-old showed more strikeout upside in the minors, but if he can continue to limit traffic on the basepaths, he should find success. Arizona's rotation is unlikely to be at full health until early-to-mid August at the earliest, so Diaz may get a few more chances to audition for a more permanent stay in the majors.
