Barrosa started in center field and went 0-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Giants.

Barrosa, who made his first start since being called up as part of the September roster expansion, stole his first base as a major leaguer. The 23-year-old outfielder had double-digit swipes in four consecutive minor-league seasons prior to making his MLB debut in 2024. There could be more opportunities for the switch hitter, as Arizona placed Lourdes Gurriel (calf) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, although Randal Grichuk and Pavin Smith will likely benefit the most from Gurriel's absence.

Bell served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 8-7 win over San Francisco.

Bell, who had been the primary first baseman for the last month, moved to DH as Christian Walker returned to first base after being activated off the 10-day injured list. Bell acquitted himself well as a replacement, batting .283 with an .809 OPS over 28 games, and should see work as the DH against left-handers going forward.

Walker went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Giants.

Walker was in the starting lineup on the day he was activated from the 10-day injured list. He missed the entire month of August because of an oblique injury. Walker is set to resume his role as the everyday first baseman.

Eldridge was promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on Tuesday.

Eldridge couldn't be stopped at High-A, slashing .333/.442/.615 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases over 48 contests. The top prospect will close out the year with a taste of Double-A, which is where he is likely to begin in 2025. A strong campaign next year could position him for his major-league debut in the second half of 2025.

Siani went 1-for-4 with two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 extra-innings win over the Brewers.

Siani came through with a two-run single in the 12th inning to put the Cardinals ahead for good. This was his second game back after a four-week absence with an oblique strain. He's regained a starting job in center field, relegating Victor Scott to a speed-and-defense role off the bench. Siani has been excellent defensively without being a black hole on offense, slashing .253/.296/.320 with 10 extra-base hits, 20 RBI, 37 runs scored and 15 steals over 103 contests this season.

Nootbaar went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-4 extra-innings win over the Brewers.

Nootbaar is locked in at the plate, going 19-for-60 (.317) over his last 17 games, a span in which he's been held hitless just twice. His steal Tuesday was his first since Aug. 1. The outfielder has regained a starting role in left field amid his hot stretch, with Alec Burleson at designated hitter, Jordan Walker in right field and Brendan Donovan at second base most frequently. Nootbaar is now at a .245/.329/.400 slash line with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 30 runs scored and six steals over 87 contests this season.

Betts went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-2 extra-inning win over the Angels.

Betts had an RBI single in the third inning and then gave the Dodgers plenty of breathing room with a homer in the 10th. He's hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, going 14-for-51 (.275) with three homers and 18 RBI in that span. The superstar has a .302/.393/.500 slash line, 15 homers, 62 RBI, 65 runs scored and 14 steals over 93 contests this season.

Buehler allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Buehler was able to limit the damage to solo home runs by Logan O'Hoppe and Taylor Ward. This was the first time Buehler completed five innings in four starts since he returned from a hip injury in mid-August. He's struggled to a 5.67 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 45:20 K:BB over 54 innings across 12 starts this year. Buehler's next start is projected to be at home versus the Cubs.

Bethancourt went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to the Pirates.

Bethancourt has hit safely in his last five games, going 7-for-17 (.412) with 10 RBI and two steals in that span. A seven-RBI game last Wednesday versus the Pirates has fueled much of his recent success. The backup catcher is now at a .224/.262/.414 slash line with three steals, five home runs, 22 RBI and 18 runs scored over 51 contests between the Cubs and the Marlins this season.

Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to the Pirates.

Suzuki has hit safely in 10 of his last 13 games, going 20-for-54 (.370) with eight extra-base hits and three steals in that span. The outfielder is up to 13 steals on 18 attempts this season, which is a career high that comes despite him dealing with an oblique issue earlier in the season. Suzuki has a .275/.350/.485 slash line with 19 home runs, 64 RBI, 64 runs scored, 23 doubles and six triples over 112 contests, and he's been an everyday designated hitter in recent weeks.
