Merrill went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Monday in a 3-2 win against the Brewers.
Merrill came up big in the seventh inning, belting a two-run shot to center field to turn a one-run deficit into a one-run lead. It was the third straight game with a long ball for the center fielder, and the hit extended his on-base streak to 10 games spanning the entirety of August. Merrill is slashing .359/.390/.744 during that stretch with four homers, nine runs, 13 RBI and two stolen bases. His .712 season OPS remains mildly disappointing, but he's at a much more impressive 1.038 OPS across 24 contests since the All-Star break.

Merrill went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in a 3-2 win against Houston on Saturday.
Merrill plated the Padres' first run on a bases-loaded fielder's choice in the first inning. He added a 421-foot solo shot to center field in the third. Merrill opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning. That was the initial salvo in what would become a five-homer day for San Diego's offense. The long ball was Merrill's second in what has been a rough June so far, as he's slashing just .178/.229/.378 through 11 contests this month. Padres' Jackson Merrill: Ends homer drought
Merrill went 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Friday's 7-5 win over the Nationals.
The center fielder took Mitchell Parker deep in the seventh inning for what proved to be the game-winning hit -- Merrill's first long ball since May 4 and his first of the season against a left-handed pitcher. During his 19-game homer drought, he slashed a paltry .162/.250/.235 with five doubles, three RBI and four runs, but he did chip in four steals. Friday's clutch blast could be a sign he's beginning to find his rhythm at the plate.
