Manaea didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Manaea's now gone at least 6.2 innings in six straight starts, posting a 3.07 ERA in that span (41 innings). The left-hander is 11-5 on the season with a 3.35 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 171 strikeouts (23 shy of a career high) across 164 innings. Manaea's currently lined up to face the Nationals at home next week in his next outing.

Manager Torey Lovullo said Kelly was lifted from Wednesday's start due to right hamstring cramping, but the right-hander is expected to make his next turn through the rotation, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Kelly allowed three earned runs over four innings before being lifted from Wednesday's contest, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with a serious injury. The 35-year-old's next turn through the rotation tentatively lines up for Monday in Colorado, and he should be expected to take the mound then unless the hamstring issue lingers.

Bauers isn't in Milwaukee's lineup for Wednesday's game versus San Francisco.

Bauers broke an 0-for-9 stretch at the plate with a single during Tuesday's contest, and he'll now grab a seat on the bench Wednesday. His absence will allow Gary Sanchez to serve as the Brewers' designated hitter while batting cleanup.

Mitchell isn't in the Brewers' lineup Wednesday against the Giants.

After hitting a solo home run in Tuesday's series opener, Mitchell will step aside Wednesday while Sal Frelick gets the starting nod in right field and bats sixth.

Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's likely just a maintenance day for Conforto, who started the previous six games and went 5-for-22 with a double and a homer during that stretch. Jerar Encarnacion is batting sixth as the designated hitter versus Milwaukee righty Colin Rea.

Amaya isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Amaya will sit down for Wednesday's finale after going 1-for-7 with two RBI across the first two games of the series. Christian Bethancourt will catch instead for Jordan Wicks and bat ninth.

Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

The Dodgers will match up against left-hander Jordan Wicks on Wednesday, meaning the left-handed-hitting Lux will sit down for the second game in a row. Chris Taylor will fill in at the keystone and bat ninth.

The Padres optioned Campusano to Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.

Since the beginning of August, Campusano has slashed .163/.268/.224 with three RBI across 56 plate appearances. He'll now head back to the minors in order to get back on track, officially moving Elias Diaz into the No. 2 catcher spot behind Kyle Higashioka. Brandon Lockridge was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Padres recalled Lockridge from Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.

Ten days after earning a spot on the Padres' 40-man, Lockridge will now join the big club, replacing Luis Campusano on the active roster. Lockridge has slashed .328/.431/.426 with 13 RBI across 144 plate appearances with El Paso since joining the organization ahead of the trade deadline, and he'll be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

The Padres placed Perez on the paternity list Wednesday.

Perez is allowed to be away from the team for up to three games, and the Padres will push back his next scheduled start from Friday to Sunday while he spends time with his family, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. While Perez is away, Tom Cosgrove will come up from Triple-A to give San Diego additional bullpen help.
