Irvin (10-12) earned the win over Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six innings.

Irvin retired the first 10 batters he faced and was working on a no-hitter until Atlanta finally got to him for consecutive doubles in the sixth inning. The right-hander emerged with his first quality start since Aug. 13, which was also the date of his most recent win prior to Wednesday. Irvin had been struggling prior to this excellent outing, as he had surrendered 13 runs across 9.2 frames in his previous two starts. He's fallen off in the second half after a strong beginning to the campaign, but he still has 10 wins and a tolerable 4.19 ERA overall.

Siani went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Siani had gone 0-for-9 with four strikeouts over his previous three games. He was able to snap the slump in the eighth inning, getting on base with a single and scoring on a Paul Goldschmidt double. Siani has three steals over eight games since he returned from an oblique injury. He's now 17-for-20 on the basepaths this year while adding a .246/.286/.308 slash line, two home runs, 20 RBI and 38 runs scored over 109 contests. He is likely to go unchallenged for playing time after Victor Scott was sent down to Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Arenado went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Arenado tied the game at 1-1 with his fourth-inning solo shot. This was his first homer over nine games in September, and he's now batting .212 (7-for-33) in that span. The third baseman is up to 16 homers, 65 RBI, 64 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .268/.320/.399 slash line over 138 contests this season.

Romero (7-2) struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner over two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Wednesday over the Reds.

Romero got the last two outs in the top of the eighth inning, and the Cardinals pulled ahead in their half of the frame. The setup man has two wins and a blown save over five appearances (3.2 innings) in September. Romero has posted a 2.72 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 51:14 K:BB through 56.1 innings this season, and he's added 30 holds and eight blown saves while seeing steady high-leverage work.

Helsley struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

Helsley retired the side on a tidy eight pitches (five strikes) to earn his 44th save of the season, reclaiming a share of the major-league lead with Cleveland's Emmanuel Clase. Over his last 14 appearances, Helsley has given up just two runs (one earned) over 15 innings, converting 11 of his 12 save chances in that span. He's pitched to a 2.19 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 72:23 K:BB through 61.2 innings this season.

Lynn allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Wednesday.

Lynn pitched for the first time since the end of July after missing nearly six weeks with right knee inflammation. He was sharp in his return, throwing 62 of 90 pitches for strikes and limiting the Reds to a Santiago Espinal RBI single in the fourth inning. Lynn has had middling results this year, though he was improving prior to the injury. The 37-year-old is now at a 3.96 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 104:42 K:BB through 111.1 innings over 22 starts this season. Lynn is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates.

Kelly (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said Kelly will make two appearances in the minors -- the second of which will come Sunday -- before rejoining the Dodgers' bullpen sometime next week. The 36-year-old righty owns a 5.20 ERA and 1.59 WHIP through 27.2 innings on the year and will likely be limited to low-leverage situations once he's healthy.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Lindor delivered one of his biggest hits of the season Wednesday, breaking up Bowden Francis' no-hit bid with a solo home run to lead off the ninth, tying the game 1-1 and kickstarting the Mets' six-run frame. While Lindor has had a tremendous season overall, he'd been slumping a bit coming into Wednesday, going just 1-for-14 in his previous four contests. Overall, the 30-year-old shortstop is slashing .268/.340/.492 through 665 plate appearances this year with 31 homers, 85 RBI, 102 runs scored and 27 stolen bases.

Steele (elbow) threw a bullpen session Wednesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

This marks the first time Steele has thrown off a mound since he landed on the injured list last Wednesday, and he's slated to throw another bullpen session over the weekend. Assuming everything goes smoothly, the 29-year-old lefty could be cleared to face live hitters sometime next week and appears to have a good chance to pitch again before the end of the season.

Diaz earned the save Wednesday against Toronto, retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth inning to seal a 6-2 victory.

After Ryne Stanek allowed a run on back-to-back two-out singles in the ninth, Diaz came in to face Nathan Lukes. Diaz retired Lukes on just one pitch to lock down his 18th save. It's the eighth straight scoreless appearance for Diaz -- he's allowed just two hits and a walk while striking out 14 over 7.1 innings in that span. The right-hander's ERA is down to 3.60 on the season with a 1.00 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB across 45 innings.
