Conforto will start for the Giants' third straight matchup with a right-handed pitcher. He appears to have moved back into a strong-side platoon role after he previously looked to be getting phased out in favor of Jerar Encarnacion.

Rojas was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins due to lingering left leg soreness, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Rojas downplayed the seriousness of the injury and implied he could be ready to return to action as soon as Thursday's series finale in Miami. Tommy Edman will shift from center field to cover shortstop in Rojas' stead.

Blackburn is dealing with a spinal fluid leak but is feeling better after being given about 10 platelet-rich plasma injections. The right-hander hasn't pitched in two weeks, and the layoff, combined with how well the members of New York's rotation are currently pitching, means that Blackburn would likely return as a reliever once he's activated.

Kershaw (toe) threw an extended bullpen session Wednesday in Miami, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the left-hander threw between 80 and 83 pitches in what was Kershaw's first time on a mound since he landed on the 15-day injured list at the end of August with a bone spur in his left big toe. Roberts previously had said it was unlikely Kershaw would make it back before the end of the season, but the fact that Kershaw was able to throw so many pitches in the bullpen session Wednesday suggests the door is ajar for a return next week. Kershaw will likely need to face hitters in live batting practice or a simulated game before getting the green light to return from the IL.
