Betts is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Tigers on Saturday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Saturday was a planned off day for Betts as he hasn't completely recovered from an illness that caused him to lose nearly 20 pounds, per Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA. Miguel Rojas will get the start at shortstop and bat eighth against Tigers right-hander Reese Olson.

Del Castillo (shoulder) was placed on Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list Saturday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Del Castillo was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain, and he's expected to be out of action for at least a month, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. Del Castillo was unable to crack the Diamondbacks' Opening Day roster after losing out to Jose Herrera for backup catching duties.

Shaw is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Shaw is just 2-for-17 with four runs scored and six strikeouts through the Cubs' first four games of the year. He'll get a chance to regroup Saturday; meanwhile, Gage Workman will start at third base and bat eighth.

Hoerner isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Arizona.

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the Cubs' domestic opener Thursday but followed it up with an 0-for-4 outing Friday. He'll now take a seat Saturday while Jon Berti picks up a start at the keystone and bats ninth.

Smith isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Cubs.

Left-hander Shota Imanaga will toe the slab to begin Saturday's contest, so Smith and his career .600 OPS against lefties will remain on the bench. Randal Grichuk will serve as Arizona's designated hitter instead and bat fourth.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Diaz will sit for a second consecutive game Saturday, as the Padres will opt to give Martin Maldonado another start following his 2-for-3 performance Friday.

Turner was scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus Washington due to lower-back spasms.

The severity of Turner's injury is unclear, though it's apparently enough of an issue to keep him out of Saturday's contest. While he recovers, Edmundo Sosa will fill in at shortstop and bat ninth.

Taylor isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

Taylor started both of the Mets' first two games in center field, but he'll give way to Jose Siri on Saturday. The two players are expected to split time in center field somewhat evenly this season, though Taylor's .700 OPS last season compared to Siri's .621 may give the former a slight edge.

Phillips (shoulder) faced live hitters at Dodger Stadium on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Friday marked the fourth time Phillips has pitched to hitters after he got a late start to spring training while battling a shoulder injury that kept him out of the World Series last year. The veteran reliever is currently on the injured list, but given his progress, he could be ready to join the big-league bullpen when first eligible April 11. Phillips led the Dodgers in saves during each of the past two regular seasons but is unlikely to receive more than an occasional save chance this year with Tanner Scott now in the fold and Kirby Yates, Michael Kopech (shoulder) and Blake Treinen all having experience pitching in the ninth inning as well.

McCutchen isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami.

After going 1-for-7 with an RBI and a walk over the first two games of the series, McCutchen will take a seat Saturday. Bryan Reynolds will serve as Pittsburgh's DH instead while Jack Suwinski starts in right field.
