The Nationals recalled Lara from Triple-A Rochester to serve as the 27th man for Sunday's doubleheader against the Rockies.

The 22-year-old will provide some bullpen depth for the Nationals in the twin bill before likely returning to Rochester. Lara has struggled in his first taste of the Triple-A level this year with 12 earned runs allowed and a 7:8 K:BB over 11.2 innings.

Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Moreno went 1-for-8 with a walk, a double and a run while starting the first two games of the series, and he'll take a seat for Sunday's finale. Jose Herrera will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Merrill Kelly.

Suarez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Cubs.

It's the first day off of the season for Suarez, who has six home runs and six RBI through 21 games but is batting just .145 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate. Garrett Hampson is starting at third base Sunday while Tim Tawa mans the keystone.

Arenado is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Arenado will head to the bench for just the second time this season, and he had a .211/.333/.368 slash line while starting the previous 11 contests. Nolan Gorman will start at the hot corner and bat seventh in the series finale at New York.

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Lefty Jesus Luzardo is pitching Sunday for Philadelphia, so Sanchez will hit the bench after starting the first two games of the series. Matt Mervis will receive a turn at designated hitter while Eric Wagaman starts at first base.

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

The absence breaks a run of eight straight starts for Realmuto, who went 6-for-30 with a double, a homer, three RBI and 12 strikeouts during that span. Rafael Marchan will step in behind the plate as Realmuto gets a breather.

The Marlins designated Monteverde for assignment Sunday.

The 27-year-old was added to the big-league roster and allowed four earned runs over 3.2 frames in his MLB debut Saturday, but he won't retain his place on the 26-man and 40-man rosters. Cade Gibson was called up to replace Monteverde in Miami's bullpen.

The Marlins selected Gibson's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Gibson has a 4.50 ERA and 14:5 K:BB over 10 innings with Jacksonville this season and will now receive his first opportunity in the majors. The left-hander should fill a low-leverage relief role while up in the big leagues.

The Marlins selected Simon's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

The 25-year-old will take the roster spot of Griffin Conine, who was placed on the injured list Sunday with a dislocated shoulder. Simon has a .962 OPS through 15 games with Jacksonville this year and will be making his MLB debut when he gets into a game.

The Marlins placed Conine on the 60-day injured list Sunday with a dislocated left shoulder.

The 27-year-old was enjoying a solid start to the campaign with a .790 OPS in 71 plate appearances, but he'll be out for at least the next two months after suffering a dislocated shoulder on a slide into second base Saturday. Conine is scheduled to undergo more medical testing Monday, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
