  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Forced to IL with back strain

The Brewers placed Henderson on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a low back strain.

Henderson battled through back tightness during his previous start Friday against the Dodgers. Despite the injury, Henderson pitched effectively (nine strikeouts, one run allowed over five innings) en route to claiming the win, but he apparently didn't bounce back from the back issue as quickly as the Brewers had hoped. After landing on the IL, the young right-hander won't be available to rejoin the Milwaukee rotation until June 7. Coleman Crow was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move and could make a start the next time Henderson's turn in the rotation comes up.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Next start iffy due to back issue

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Henderson might not make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the Cardinals due to back tightness, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Henderson went five scoreless frames versus the Dodgers his last time out, despite his back tightening up on him after the second inning. Murphy said Monday of Henderson's back issue that "there's reason for concern," adding that the club will "keep a really close eye on it" before determining the righty's readiness for Wednesday's contest. It's unclear who might draw the start Wednesday if Henderson is unable to go, as it could depend on which pitchers are needed in relief in the first two games of the series.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Fans seven in win over LAD

Henderson (2-1) earned the win Friday against the Dodgers after tossing five scoreless innings, giving up two hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Henderson had to deal with a bases-loaded, two-out situation in the fourth inning, but he retired Max Muncy on a popout to end the threat. That was the only stressful situation Henderson had to face over a five-inning outing in which he threw 57 of his 85 pitches for strikes. Having struck out at least seven in three of his last four starts, Henderson has been doing a great job in the rotation while filling in for the injured Brandon Woodruff (shoulder). Sporting a 2.74 ERA through 23 innings over his first five starts this season, Henderson will carry significant momentum into a divisional matchup against the Cardinals next week.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Notches first victory of season

Henderson (1-1) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings.

Henderson surrendered a solo homer to Trevor Larnach in the third inning, but the Twins were otherwise unable to get into the scoring column against him. The right-hander racked up an impressive 18 whiffs en route to his first big-league win of 2026. Henderson is in the rotation due to an injury to Brandon Woodruff (shoulder), who could be back by the end of May. However, with a 3.50 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 18 innings spanning four starts, Henderson may be making a case for a permanent starting role with the big club.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Keeps Yankees in check

Henderson didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out five.

The 24-year-old right-hander was taken deep for the first time this season, but it was still a productive outing overall against a tough Yankees lineup. Henderson fired 54 of his 74 pitches for strikes in his third major-league start of 2026, so it looks like Milwaukee is easing him into its rotation. Although he has a shaky 4.15 ERA through 13 innings, Henderson does boast a 16:2 K:BB and 0.92 WHIP and will be looking to crack the 80-pitch marker in his next scheduled start versus the Twins.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Headed for another start

Henderson is slated to start Sunday's game against the Yankees at American Family Field, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 24-year-old righty will unsurprisingly stick around in the rotation for another turn after a stellar showing in Washington this past weekend, when he struck out eight Nationals and allowed two earned runs on three hits and no walks over six innings. With Quinn Priester (shoulder/wrist) recently getting pulled off his rehab assignment following a setback and with Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) facing an uncertain timeline for a return, Henderson should be in line for an extended look in the big-league rotation. Through his first seven starts in the majors dating back to last season, Henderson has performed at an elite level with a 2.43 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB in 33.1 innings.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Eight Ks in six strong innings

Henderson (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits and zero walks in six innings. He struck out eight.

Henderson hardly deserved the loss Sunday, throwing 56 of his 76 pitches for strikes in a quality start. It was somewhat surprising to see the right-hander get pulled with a fairly low pitch count, but it was just his second major-league start of 2026 after he worked as a swingman for Triple-Nashville earlier this year. Henderson is set to see at least a handful of turns in Milwaukee's rotation due to Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) being on the injured list, next lining up for a tough test versus the Yankees.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Called up to start Sunday

The Brewers recalled Henderson from Triple-A Nashville to start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The right-hander was briefly up with the Brewers for a doubleheader in early April but has otherwise spent the first month-plus of the season at Triple-A. Henderson has been dominant for Nashville with a 1.02 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB across 17.2 innings. The 24-year-old is now expected to get at least a couple turns through the rotation with Milwaukee after the placement of Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) on the injured list.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Up as 27th man, starting nightcap

Henderson will join the Brewers as the 27th man and start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

After striking out five batters over three innings during his first outing at Triple-A Nashville, Henderson is now set to make his season debut in the big leagues. He showed plenty of promise last year while posting a 1.78 ERA and 0.99 WHIP alongside a 33:8 K:BB over 25.1 regular-season frames across his first five MLB starts, but he was never able to lock down a full-time spot in Milwaukee's rotation. Brandon Sproat is expected to take over on the mound once Henderson is removed, and the latter will most likely be returned to Nashville after the game.

  • Brewers' Logan Henderson: Returns to Nashville

The Brewers optioned Henderson to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

Henderson will head back to Triple-A one day after the Brewers called him up to serve as their 27th man in a doubleheader with the Royals. The right-hander started the second game of the twin bill, taking a no-decision in the Brewers' 8-2 loss while striking out three batters and allowing two earned runs on three hits and one walk.
