Rodriguez threw two scoreless innings in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers, allowing two hits and striking out three.

Rodriguez worked two innings for the first time this season, throwing 15 of his 24 pitches for strikes while giving up two singles. The 25-year-old has been impressive so far and is the first Giants pitcher since 1901 to record 11 scoreless outings to start the season -- a feat that has been accomplished only 16 times in big-league history. Rodriguez owns a 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 16:0 K:BB across 11.2 innings.

Abrams went 2-for-5 with a triple, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Mets.

After going hitless in his return from the IL on Thursday, Abrams led off the ninth inning with a triple that just eluded right fielder Juan Soto at the wall, sparking a two-run, walk-off rally by the Nats. While Abrams' .240 batting average (12-for-50) on the season isn't anything special, he's a perfect 5-for-5 on the basepaths and has been scalding the ball when he's made contact, with seven of his 12 hits going for extra bases (two double, a triple, four homers).

Tena went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's win over the Mets.

It's the second three-hit performance this week for Tena, who has seized a strong-side platoon role at third base with Paul DeJong (nose) sidelined. Tena's started five of the last seven games, all against right-handed pitching, and gone 8-for-20 (.400) with two doubles, a triple, three runs and five RBI.

King went 2-for-4 with his first career professional home run for High-A Wilmington on Friday.

The 22-year-old had a rough start to the season, but King has begun to heat up at the plate. He's hit safely in seven straight games, batting .458 (11-for-24) over that stretch with four steals in four attempts and a 3:5 BB:K. After he served as a super-utility player in college, the Nationals have used King exclusively at shortstop so far since selecting him 10th overall in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, but that could change at higher levels of the minors. His speed and hit tool are assets, but King's fantasy value will ultimately depend on how much power he develops as he moves up the ladder.

Walker is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.

Walker will get a breather after making five consecutive starts, during which he went just 1-for-18 with two walks and five strikeouts. Brendan Donovan will shift to the outfield to cover for Walker, opening up second base for Thomas Saggese to start while batting sixth.

Vientos went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in Friday's loss to the Nationals.

The 25-year-old third baseman had a slow start to the season, but Vientos is heating up rapidly. He's hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, batting .289 (11-for-38) during that stretch with six extra-base hits (three doubles, a triple and two homers), seven runs and nine RBI.

Garrett gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless eighth inning Friday to record his eighth hold of the season in a loss to the Nationals.

The Mets' bullpen was shorthanded with Edwin Diaz (hip) unavailable, but Garrett got the job done as a setup man before Ryne Stanek blew the save in the ninth. Garrett had a breakout first half in 2024 before developing elbow trouble, and he's having another fantastic start to the current campaign, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB through 10.2 innings. The 32-year-old righty's eight holds are one off the major-league lead.

Crews went 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs scored in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mets.

Crews got the Nats' rally started in the ninth with a leadoff triple off Ryne Stanek, eventually scoring the tying run on Jose Tena's single. After a slow start to the year, Crews now has hits in nine of his last 10 games -- he's gone 13-for-37 (.351) with a 1.044 OPS in that span. Overall, the 23-year-old outfielder is slashing .214/.241/.357 with three homers, five RBI, 16 runs scored and six steals across 87 plate appearances this season.

Diaz (hip) was able to play catch before Friday's game without any issues, but Mets manager Carlos Mendoza still elected not to use him in a save situation that night due to his recent workload, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Ryne Stanek instead got a chance to protect a 4-3 lead against the Nationals in the ninth inning, but he served up a leadoff triple to Dylan Crews and an RBI single to Jose Tena to blow the save. Diaz had pitched five times in nine days heading into Friday, allowing just a solo homer in 5.1 innings with a 10:2 K:BB, so some extra rest was warranted after he developed cramping in his left hip Wednesday. He should be available to handle any save situation that arises Saturday.

Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Mariners.

The Marlins' offense was completely shut down by Logan Gilbert (forearm) to begin the game, but once he left the mound after the third inning, the floodgates quickly opened. Sanchez's homer, his first of the year, came as part of a six-run fifth frame against Casey Lawrence. Sanchez is still struggling to find a rhythm at the plate after his delayed start to the season, and through nine games he's batting just .226 and only two extra-base over 31 at-bats.
