Carroll went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Mets.

Carroll provided some early pop, taking Griffin Canning's second pitch of the game over the fence. This was Carroll's 10th homer of the season, but it was his first since his two-homer game April 23 versus the Rays. The star outfielder has back-to-back multi-hit efforts but has 11 strikeouts over his last six contests. He's batting .287 with a .945 OPS, 27 RBI, 28 runs scored and five stolen bases over 35 contests as Arizona's primary leadoff hitter.

Mlodzinski allowed two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out two batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Monday.

Mlodzinski allowed just four hits in the outing, but two of those were solo homers. That was the extent of the damage against the righty, who exited after 4.2 frames having thrown 88 pitches (53 of which were strikes). Mlodzinski has looked a little better in his past two starts, but he still holds an ugly 6.16 ERA on the campaign and has managed to complete five innings just twice through seven starts. His next trip to the mound is lined up to come at home against Atlanta.

Nelson (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings to take the loss Monday versus the Mets.

Nelson threw 70 pitches (39 strikes) in his first start of 2025 after working out of the bullpen to begin the campaign. He wasn't all that sharp Monday, but his only big mistake was allowing a two-run home run to Pete Alonso in the fourth inning. Nelson is at a 5.48 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Considering this was a spot start to cover for Corbin Burnes (shoulder), it's expected Nelson's next appearance will be in relief unless Burnes experiences a setback.

Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Monday, allowing two hits and striking out two batters in one scoreless inning.

Helsley entered in the ninth frame with St. Louis up by three runs, and he allowed the tying run to come up to the plate by allowing two singles. However, the veteran right-hander got Bryan Reynolds to strike out looking to escape the threat and notch the save. Helsley had just three saves and two blown saves in April, but he's off to a nice beginning of May with two saves through the first five days of the month.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Alonso has five multi-hit efforts over his last eight games, a span that has seen him rack up three homers, seven RBI and nine runs scored. The first baseman has yet to go more than two games in a row without a hit, which is some impressive consistency, especially since he's never hit higher than .271 over a full season. Alonso is batting .349 with a 1.143 OPS, nine long balls, 33 RBI, 26 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases over 36 contests. In addition to his efficient contact, he's walking at a career-high rate (15.6 percent) and striking out at a career-low clip (15.0 percent).

Mikolas allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one batter over five innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Monday.

Mikolas fell behind early, giving up a two-run homer in the first inning, but yielded just one more run over the remainder of his outing. As usual, the right-hander didn't do much in the strikeout department -- he had just one punchout Monday and is sporting a paltry 4.8 K/9 on the campaign, fifth-lowest among pitchers who have faced at least 100 batters. The lack of strikeouts is an obvious detriment to Mikolas' value in fantasy, and he hasn't done much to compensate for that flaw, as he holds a 4.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 34 innings on the season.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

This was Lindor's second three-RBI effort over the last three games. The shortstop provided important insurance runs when he went deep in the seventh-inning Monday, as the Diamondbacks rallied for three runs in the eighth but fell short of tying the game. Lindor is batting .289 with an .830 OPS, seven homers, three stolen bases, 22 RBI and 23 runs scored across 35 contests. He has hit safely in eight of the last 10 games, going 11-for-41 (.268) with three extra-base hits and eight RBI in that span.

Diaz struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

This was Diaz's first save since April 26 versus the Nationals. He battled a hip issue in that time, and his return to the mound Sunday versus the Cardinals saw him allow two hits and strike out one in a scoreless inning in a non-save situation. He should be good to resume closing duties, though after pitching consecutive days, he may not be available if a save situation arises Tuesday. Diaz has a 3.86 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 22:7 K:BB with eight saves over 14 innings this season.

Canning (5-1) allowed a run on six hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Canning's second pitch of the outing was taken deep by Corbin Carroll. Other than that, it was another respectable start for Canning, who avoided walking multiple batters for the second time in seven starts this season. He wasn't quite at his best, but he was good enough to earn a fifth straight win. Over 36 innings this season, he has a strong 2.50 ERA, but his 1.39 WHIP and 37:15 K:BB are not as encouraging. Canning has made improvements by inducing more groundballs -- per Statcast, he's at a 51.7 percent groundball rate in his first year with the Mets compared to 41.3 percent in 2024 with the Angels. Canning's next start is projected to be this weekend at home versus the Cubs.

Matos went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Cubs on Monday.

The only runs San Francisco managed to score in the loss came on Matos' two-run homer in the fourth inning. The long ball was his second in his last three games, a stretch during which he's gone 4-for-9. Matos has started to get more opportunities of late, as he's started four of the Giants' past five contests.
