Swanson went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI in Monday's 9-2 victory versus San Francisco.

Swanson broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the fourth inning, setting Chicago off to its 22nd win of the campaign. The veteran shortstop is working on a seven-game hitting streak during which he's batting a robust .462 with three home runs, five RBI and eight runs. After a slow first month of the campaign, Swanson has managed to push his season slash line up to a tolerable .232/.276/.444 mark.

Happ went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in a 9-2 win over the Giants on Monday.

Happ kicked off the scoring for Chicago with a two-run homer in the third inning and added a sacrifice fly in the sixth. The long ball extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .407 with five RBI and seven runs. Happ's overall .287 batting average is on pace for a career-high mark, but he's lacked in the power department so far with just three homers through 36 games.

Roupp (2-3) took the loss against the Cubs on Monday, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters.

Roupp demonstrated good control, throwing 57 of 77 pitches for strikes, but he didn't miss many bats, notching just five whiffs. The right-hander gave up a two-run homer to Ian Happ in the third inning, and the other pair of runs he allowed were both unearned. Though Roupp took the loss, he at least pitched better than in his previous two starts -- in those outings, he allowed nine runs (seven earned) over eight frames while walking six batters. He's so far managed to hang onto a rotation spot despite posting a subpar 4.89 ERA and 1.54 WHIP over 35 innings.

Boyd (3-2) earned the win over San Francisco on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over six innings.

The only runs Boyd allowed came on a Luis Matos homer in the fourth inning. The left-handed hurler was otherwise excellent, finishing with 16 whiffs and tying a season high with seven punchouts. Boyd also didn't walk a batter for the first time this season and notched his fourth quality start through seven outings. He now has a 37:13 K:BB over 39.1 frames along with a 2.75 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Boyd's next start is projected to be a tough road matchup against the Mets.

Yelich went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 5-1 win against the Astros.

Yelich hit the only home run in the contest, smashing a 413-foot, two-run shot to center field in the third inning. The veteran slugger also swiped a bag following an eighth-inning walk and subsequently came around to score. It was the second time this season that Yelich has homered and stolen a base in the same contest. That could be a sign Yelich is emerging from a rut that saw him go 1-for-20 with 10 strikeouts over his previous five games heading into Monday.

Myers (1-0) earned the win over Houston on Monday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out two batters over 5.1 innings.

Myers breezed through five scoreless frames before running into trouble in the sixth. He yielded three hits in that inning and departed with the bases loaded and one out, but Milwaukee's bullpen was able to help him escape with just one run on his ledger. The right-hander wasn't overpowering with a modest seven whiffs and two punchouts, but he had excellent control, tossing 58 of 80 pitches for strikes. This was just the fourth outing of the season for Myers, and his third start -- in his previous appearance, he tossed one inning out of the bullpen. He's registered a 3.65 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 8:7 K:BB through 12.1 frames and is lined up face Tampa Bay on the road in his next start.

Pivetta did not factor in the decision during Monday's win over the Yankees. He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and four walks over five-plus innings while striking out five.

Pivetta wasn't very effective Monday, needing 91 pitches (57 strikes) to complete five frames. Most of the damage against him came on Trent Grisham's two-run shot in the third inning. It was Pivetta's first time walking more than three batters in a start this season and he now owns a 44:12 K:BB with a stellar 2.01 ERA through seven outings. After three straight quality starts, he's failed to complete six innings in back-to-back appearances. Pivetta's next start is projected to be in Colorado this weekend.

Suarez struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn a save against the Yankees on Monday.

Suarez needed only 13 pitches to quickly roll through the Yankees' 6-7-8 hitters in Monday's win. He's now converted all 14 of his save chances as he extended his MLB lead in the category. Suarez has delivered four straight scoreless frames to drop his ERA to 0.56 with an 18:4 K:BB through 16 innings.

Yates struck out two batters in a perfect inning to earn a save against Miami on Monday.

Yates saw his first save chance since blowing one against Texas on April 19 and saw much better results. He threw 10 of 16 pitches for strikes to quickly retire Miami's 3-4-5 hitters in order. He dropped his season ERA to 2.76 with an impressive 28:5 K:BB through 16.1 frames. Tanner Scott picked up his fourth hold by recording two outs in the eighth inning.

Casparius improved to 4-0 after striking out five and allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks over four innings out of the bullpen in Monday's 7-4 win over the Marlins.

Casparius was deployed in bulk relief Monday, entering in the second inning after Jack Dreyer opened the game with 1.1 scoreless frames. The rookie right-hander came away with his fourth win in his last five appearances and turned in his longest outing of the season, both in terms of innings and pitch count (70). He forced 12 whiffs, including four each with his slider and fastball. Casparius has benefited from the Dodgers' myriad injuries in the rotation and should continue working a bulk role for the near future. He tentatively lines up to make his next appearance Sunday in Arizona.
