Woodruff (shoulder) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six in his latest rehab start at Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Making the fifth start of his rehab assignment, Woodruff built up to 83 pitches (60 strikes) and displayed a fastball that topped out at 94.4 miles per hour. He's in the final stages of his recovery from September 2023 right shoulder capsule surgery, which kept him out for the entire 2024 season. Per Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Woodruff will either make one more rehab start with Nashville or return from the 15-day injured list to make his 2025 debut with the Brewers, which would likely fall next week in Cleveland.

The Dodgers recalled Sauer from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

Though he was optioned to Triple-A after tossing five innings of one-run ball while working in bulk relief in last Tuesday's win over the Marlins, Sauer was able to rejoin the Dodgers before the minimum 15 days lapsed because Los Angeles placed reliever Evan Phillips (forearm) on the injured list in a corresponding move. Los Angeles had an opening in its six-man rotation for Wednesday's game in Miami, but the Dodgers turned to Landon Knack to start rather than Sauer, who will be available in relief for the series finale.

The Dodgers placed Phillips on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to right forearm discomfort, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

The right-hander made his season debut in mid-April after missing the first few weeks of the campaign due to a shoulder strain, but he's headed back to the IL after just seven appearances. It's unclear when the forearm issue surfaced for Phillips, but he was pitching well with four hits allowed and a 6:2 K:BB across 5.2 scoreless innings. He'll be eligible to be reinstated May 21 but could require a longer absence given the nature of the injury.

Keller (1-4) took the loss Wednesday as the Pirates fell 5-0 to the Cardinals, giving up three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the season on 94 pitches (58 strikes), including 30 called or swinging strikes. Keller has allowed more than three runs only twice in eight trips to the mound to begin the season, leaving him with a 4.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 35:15 K:BB through 45 innings, but a lack of run support has kept him out of the win column since March 28. He faces a tough test in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week against the Mets.

Haase went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Astros.

The 32-year-old spoiled Framber Valdez's shutout bid by taking the lefty deep in the fifth inning. Haase has seen infrequent playing time so far this season, but he's been productive when called up, batting .292 (7-for-24) with two homers, four RBI and six runs in 13 games. With William Contreras attempting to play through a fractured finger in his glove hand, Haase's usage could be set to tick up.

Priester (1-1) took the loss Wednesday, giving up three runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks over five innings as the Brewers were downed 9-1 by the Astros. He struck out three.

The right-hander didn't get much help from his offense or his defense, but Priester didn't aid his own cause by issuing at least three walks for the fifth straight outing. After a promising beginning to his stint in the Milwaukee rotation, he's been tagged for 15 runs (13 earned) over his last 14.1 innings with a 9:10 K:BB. With Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) having built up to 83 pitches in his most recent rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday and Aaron Civale (hamstring) likely not far behind him in returning from the IL, Priester's time with the big club figures to be running short. If he does get another start, it'll come on the road early next week in Cleveland.

Fraley is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Atlanta due to left calf tenderness, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Though he didn't start in Tuesday's game, Fraley appeared as a pinch hitter and remained in the game to play right field, and he evidently must have hurt his calf at some point during the contest. His absence from Wednesday's lineup will mark the first time this season he hasn't started versus a righty. Fraley is being viewed as day-to-day, but he'll undergo an MRI as the Reds look to determine whether he's dealing with a calf strain, which would likely require a stint on the injured list.

Abrams went 3-for-6 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to the Guardians.

The shortstop is up to eight steals in 10 attempts on the season, but half of those attempts have come in the last five games. Abrams has also reached base in 13 straight contests, giving him more opportunities to use his legs -- during that hot streak he's batting .340 (18-for-53) with five walks and three HBPs. His power stroke, however, has gone quiet. Abrams has yet to hit a home run since returning from a hip issue in late April, and after slugging a career-high 20 homers in 2024, the 24-year-old has gone yard only twice through his first 25 games in 2025.

Wade is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Wade had started in 15 of the Padres' previous 17 games, with most of his playing time coming in center field. He'll be ticketed for a backup role in the outfield moving forward after the Padres welcomed Jackson Merrill back from the injured list Tuesday, and Wade's opportunities to play in the middle infield will also soon become limited with Jake Cronenworth (rib) on track to be activated this weekend.

Soroka (0-2) took the loss Wednesday as the Nationals fell 8-6 to the Guardians, giving up four runs on five hits and two walks over five-plus innings. He struck out eight.

Making his first start since March 31 after recovering from a bicep strain, Soroka blanked Cleveland through five frames before running out of gas in the sixth -- he put the first four batters aboard on two singles, a hit by pitch and a double prior to exiting, as part of an eight-run inning for the Guardians. On the bright side, Soroka generated an impressive 30 called or swinging strikes among his 78 pitches. The right-hander will look for a better result in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week against Atlanta, the team he made his MLB debut with in 2018.
