Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that Dobbins is expected to be called up from Triple-A Memphis to start Wednesday's contest against the Angels, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Dobbins will return to the big-league roster after being sent down July 8. The right-hander has posted a 4.03 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 22.1 innings in five appearances (three starts) with the Cardinals so far this season. With Dobbins coming up for a spot start, the other members of the St. Louis rotation will all be pushed back a day in the pitching schedule.

Keller will start Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Keller will take the ball in Wednesday's matinee after Tuesday's contest was postponed due to inclement weather, causing the Pirates to participate in a third doubleheader since July 11. The right-hander has struggled to a 7.62 ERA and 1.74 WHIP with 31 strikeouts over 39 innings in his last eight starts, surrendering nine home runs over that stretch.

Chandler will start Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Chandler was set to start Tuesday before the game ended up being postponed due to poor weather, but he'll now handle Wednesday's nightcap. The right-hander has struggled to a 6.60 ERA and 1.80 WHIP with nine walks and 12 strikeouts over 15 innings in his last three starts.

Gallen (elbow) met with Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles for a recommended course of action and was scheduled to be back in Arizona on Tuesday to resume his rehab, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Gallen has been dealing with right elbow inflammation, which landed him on the 15-day injured list July 12. The righty was said to be evaluating his options as he waited for an opinion from another doctor -- presumably Dr. ElAttrache. Gallen's timeline is currently up in the air.

Crews isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Crews will get a chance to regroup Tuesday after going just 3-for-29 with a homer, two RBI, five runs and a steal across his last eight starts. Daylen Lile, Jacob Young and James Wood will start across Washington's outfield while Crews sits.

Alvarez isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

Alvarez will move to the bench to begin Tuesday's contest after going 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the series opener Monday. Luis Torrens will handle catching duties and bat ninth.

Lodolo (blister) will attempt to throw a bullpen Wednesday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

As Lodolo tries to throw from a mound Wednesday, he and the Reds will see how he is feeling and judge from there. The southpaw had the blister resurface July 11, which led to his removal from the game. He's been throwing a Plyo ball after getting his blister drained prior to the weekend.

Waldschmidt is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Waldschmidt started the previous three games and will hit the bench Tuesday after going 3-for-11 with a double, two runs and six strikeouts. Jorge Barrosa will take over in center field and bat ninth versus Athletics righty Jack Perkins.

The Phillies recalled De La Cruz from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The 29-year-old exercised the opt-out in his minor-league contract with the Phillies but quickly re-signed and was added to the 40-man roster in early July, and he'll now get his first look in the majors this season. De La Cruz has 12 homers with an .806 OPS in 84 games with the IronPigs this year, but he hasn't seen significant MLB action since he posted a .654 OPS across 149 games between Pittsburgh and Miami in 2024.

The Diamondbacks optioned Burgos to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Burgos threw 1.1 scoreless innings after coming up from Reno on Monday, but he'll now head back to the minors in order to make room for Kohl Drake, who was recalled to start Tuesday's game against St. Louis. Burgos has now given up one run in 2.2 MLB innings this season, but his 5.88 ERA in the minors will likely limit the number of opportunities he receives with the big club.
