Christopher Morel 1B | NYM
Rays' Christopher Morel: Taking seat Sunday
Morel is not in the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Blue Jays.
Dylan Carlson will patrol left field and bat leadoff for the Rays. The Blue Jays are using a right-handed opener in Ryan Burr and are then expected to turn to lefty Ryan Yarbrough in bulk relief, so Morel is a candidate to enter mid-game.

Dillon Dingler C | DET
Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Triples, drives in two Saturday
Dingler went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple and two RBI in Saturday's 6-4, 10-inning win over the Orioles.
Dingler snapped an 0-for-9 slump that spanned his last three appearances and recorded the second triple of his rookie season. The 25-year-old catcher has mostly struggled in his debut campaign, slashing .143/.175/.286 across 24 games, but he still should figure into Detroit's future plans behind the plate.

Tyler O'Neill RF | BAL
Red Sox's Tyler O'Neill: Sitting out first game
O'Neill is not in the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
O'Neill will surely be back in the lineup for the nightcap, but he will begin the first game of the twin bill on the bench. Jarren Duran is in left field and Ceddanne Rafaela is in center for the first contest.

Riley Greene LF | DET
Tigers' Riley Greene: Paces offense in win
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 6-4, 10-inning win over the Orioles.
Greene has been playing well lately, posting an .893 OPS across his last 10 games with four home runs, eight RBI and eight runs scored. With Detroit battling for the final AL playoff spot, the young outfielder's contributions have been crucial. For the season, Greene has an .842 OPS across 130 games with 24 long balls, 72 RBI and 80 runs scored, which are all new career highs.

Beau Brieske RP | DET
Tigers' Beau Brieske: Secures win Saturday
Brieske (3-4) tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win Saturday against the Orioles. He walked one and struck out one.
Brieske pitched the last two innings of the game, which went into extra innings, and he earned the win when the Tigers scored twice in the top of the 10th. The righty has been a versatile reliever for Detroit this season, often working as a opener and giving the team multiple innings. He has a 3.65 ERA and 65 strikeouts across 61.2 innings this year.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Yankees' Jon Berti: Swipes bag, reaches three times
Berti went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's win over Oakland. He was also hit by a pitch.
Berti singled in his second trip to the plate before eventually stealing third as part of a double steal with Anthony Volpe. The infielder would go on to reach three times in the contest after also being hit by a pitch in the eighth, showing that he can be a solid contributor for the Yankees in his first start since May 24. It marked Berti's fourth multi-hit performance this season, while the stolen base was his fifth on the campaign.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Blue Jays' Ryan Yarbrough: Set for bulk-relief role
Yarbrough is expected to serve as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Ryan Burr in Sunday's game against the Rays, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The lefty hasn't made a start for Toronto since being acquired at the trade deadline July 30, but he should be ticketed for his third outing as a bulk reliever behind Burr. When Burr previously made one- and two-inning starts Aug. 22 against the Angels and Sept. 9 versus the Mets, respectively, Yarbrough followed him and covered five and 3.2 innings out of the bullpen. Yarbrough will be pitching on three days' rest Sunday after logging two scoreless innings out of the bullpen Wednesday against the Rangers.

Ryan Burr RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Ryan Burr: Slated to open Sunday's contest
Burr will serve as the Blue Jays' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Rays, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
He'll draw his third opener assignment of the season and his second of September. In his previous two starts, Burr covered one and two innings, so expect him to fall somewhere in that range again Sunday before he turns the game over to the bullpen. Ryan Yarbrough is expected to work in bulk relief behind Burr.

Anthony Volpe SS | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Volpe: Homers, steals base in win
Volpe went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Athletics.
Volpe slugged a leadoff homer in his first at-bat to increase New York's lead to three runs and drew a free pass his second time around before swiping his 27th bag of the campaign. The shortstop has now tallied two RBI in back-to-back contests while also hitting safely in three straight. The long ball was his 12th of the campaign and his first since Aug. 3 against the Blue Jays.
