Kittredge (knee) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Saturday marks the first time Kittredge has done any sort of mound work since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery during spring training. Manager Brandon Hyde added that the right-hander is well ahead of schedule in his rehab, so perhaps there's a chance Kittredge returns to the Orioles' bullpen sooner than his original June/July timeline.

Suarez (shoulder) said Saturday that he will be shut down from throwing for about three weeks, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Suarez was moved to the 60-day IL on Monday after being diagnosed with a right subscapularis strain. He'll now also be pulled off his throwing program until an MRI shows that his shoulder has begun healing, and he isn't scheduled to be re-evaluated until early May. A timeline for his return may emerge once he's cleared to resume throwing.

Giolito (hamstring) is scheduled to start Tuesday for Triple-A Worcester, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Both Giolito and Brayan Bello (shoulder) will get at least one more start for the WooSox before the team decides on the next step for each pitcher. Giolito, who threw 64 pitches over 3.1 innings in his last rehab start, believes he only needs one more before being ready to return to Boston, though he admitted that the decision is out of his control, Sean McAdam of MassLive.com reports.

Bello (shoulder) allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out five over four innings for Triple-A Worcester on Friday.

There were several positives to Bello's third rehab start, including 45 strikes among his 64 pitches. The right-hander reached 97.8 mph on his sinker (95.8 mph average), induced 12 swinging strikes and retired the final eight batters faced. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said prior to the outing that he'd like to see Bello get up to five innings before he's activated, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports. Friday's results along with the manager's comments suggest at least one more rehab start for Bello.

Pederson went 0-for-3 with a walk in Friday's 5-3 loss to Seattle.

Pederson extended a hitless streak to 18 at-bats and is batting .086 (.334 OPS) for his new team. After a career-best season in 2024 while with Arizona, he gambled on free agency and won, getting a two-year deal with the Rangers. Texas viewed him as the answer at designated hitter, a position from which it got a league-low .584 OPS in 2024, but it has not yet worked out. Pederson has just one barrel (3.8 barrel percentage) and a career-worst 30.8 hard-hit percentage.

Jeffers (thumb) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Detroit.

Jeffers ended Friday's contest with a bloody thumb that later began to swell, per Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic, so he'll take a seat Saturday while Christian Vazquez picks up a second consecutive start behind the plate. Manager Rocco Baldelli said Jeffers may still be available off the bench Saturday, so it doesn't seem like the 27-year-old will need to spend time on the injured list.

McDaniels tossed one-third of an inning against the Astros on Friday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk.

The Angels were down just one run when McDaniels entered in the fifth frame, but starter Jack Kochanowicz had loaded the bases with two outs after already having given up two runs in the inning. McDaniels had a chance to stem the tide, but he instead gave up a grand slam to Yainer Diaz on the third pitch he threw. The lefty hurler allowed two more baserunners before getting out of the frame, and though only one run was charged to his line, it was a rough outing for the rookie. McDaniels has been working in middle relief for the Angels this season and has a 6.23 ERA, 2.54 WHIP and 4:5 K:BB through 4.1 frames so far.

Trout went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Houston on Friday.

Trout plated the Angels' first run with a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning. It was the star outfielder's third homer in his past two games, and the long ball extended his on-base streak to nine games. While Trout's batting average still sits at a modest .208 through 59 plate appearances, he's been plenty productive with six home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs scored while registering an 8:9 BB:K.

Gomez tossed two-thirds of an inning against San Francisco on Friday, allowing one run on no hits and four walks. He struck out two.

Gomez entered in the sixth inning with New York trailing by seven and promptly walked the first three batters he faced. The righty rebounded to strike out Matt Chapman and Heliot Ramos with the bases loaded, but he then issued another free pass to force in a run. Gomez didn't get a chance to throw another pitch, as Mother Nature intervened, and the contest was called due to inclement weather. Overall, Gomez threw just 14 of 33 pitches for strikes in the outing, continuing a troubling early season trend -- through seven innings this season, he's walked eight batters. Of additional concern is that Gomez's velocity was down Friday, as he averaged just 90.1 mph on his fastball. However, he said through an interpreter after the contest that he "felt good" and suggested that the rough weather may have affected his performance, mentioning "some factors" that he had to deal with, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. The Associated Press also notes that Gomez had trouble gripping the ball due to the rain.

Smith started in left field and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Mariners.

Smith, who had filled in at third base when Josh Jung was unavailable, moved to left field with Wyatt Langford (oblique) on the injured list. The versatile infielder/outfielder is 10-for-24 with three doubles, a home run, two RBI, three steals and seven runs scored over the last eight games. Kevin Pillar could see time in left field against southpaws, but Smith is expected to be the primary fill-in while Langford is out.
