  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Heading to Arizona before Triple-A

Naylor will report to the Guardians' spring training complex in Arizona before joining Triple-A Columbus, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports. Naylor, who was optioned to Columbus on Saturday, will get a reset in Arizona away from the daily rigors of game activity. Barring an injury to Patrick Bailey or Austin Hedges in Cleveland, Naylor faces a difficult path back to the majors.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Relegated to Columbus

The Guardians optioned Naylor to Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports. Naylor has slashed just .143/.200/.238 through 90 plate appearances this season, so Cleveland will send him back down to the minors to get him back on track. The Guardians traded for Patrick Bailey to replace Naylor on the active roster and provide defensive help at catcher. Austin Hedges is also likely to continue making starts behind the plate, given Bailey's recent offensive struggles.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Sitting again Sunday

Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics. Naylor had started in each of the Guardians' last six matchups with right-handed pitchers, but he'll hit the bench Sunday against Athletics righty Aaron Civale. The Guardians may have just wanted to reward Austin Hedges with a second consecutive start after the defensive-minded backstop provided a rare impact at the dish in Saturday's 14-6 win with three extra-base hits.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Contributes to win

Naylor went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 8-5 win over the Athletics. Naylor, who entered Friday's game on a 1-for-23 slide over the previous eight contests, snapped an 0-for-12 stretch with a second-inning single, and he also doubled home a run in the seventh. It was just the second multi-hit effort of the season for the catcher. Naylor is slashing .137/.192/.397 with three extra-base hits, four RBI and three runs scored over 78 plate appearances.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Idle against southpaw

Naylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays. The left-handed-hitting Naylor will hit the bench for a second straight game while the Guardians face off against another southpaw (Steven Matz) in the series opener with Tampa Bay. Austin Hedges will handle catching duties Monday.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Getting breather

Naylor is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Astros. It's a routine breather for Naylor, who started at catcher in the first game of the series Monday. Austin Hedges will do the catching and bat eighth Tuesday.

  • Guardians' Cooper Ingle: Bops two homers Sunday

Ingle went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, four RBI and an additional run scored for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday. Ingle is off to an impressive start for the Clippers, slashing .357/.617/.786 with 18 walks, four home runs and 12 RBI over 47 plate appearances. A .400 BABIP has helped, but Ingle is patient hitter that makes contact, knows how to get on base and rarely strikes out. With just 41 career games at Triple-A, he may not be ready for a promotion, but if Bo Naylor's bat continues to underwhelm (.156/.224/.244), Ingle could make his MLB debut at some point in the near future.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Mashes first home run of 2026

Naylor went 1-for-3 with a solo homer during Cleveland's 4-2 win over Baltimore on Saturday. Naylor extended the Guardians' lead to two runs when he blasted a solo homer to right field for his first long ball of the season. He has struggled at the plate to open the year, with the 26-year-old catcher slashing .156/.224/.244 with three RBI and a 4:10 BB:K over 49 plate appearances.

Naylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals. • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Idle Saturday

Naylor is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports. Atlanta is sending southpaw Martin Perez to the mound for Saturday's contest, so the left-handed-hitting Naylor will take seat while Austin Hedges starts behind home plate and bats eighth. Naylor has struggled at the plate to open the season, going 4-for-32 (.125 average) with four walks and eight strikeouts.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Absent from lineup

Naylor isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners. Naylor will sit down for the third game of the series after going 1-for-8 with a walk across the first two contests. David Fry will pick up a start behind the plate in Naylor's stead and bat fifth.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Continues to pile up RBI

Naylor went 2-for-4 with four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over Minnesota. Naylor matched a career high in RBI, extending his hitting streak to seven games as well. The catcher is also riding a four-game RBI streak, during which he's totaled 10 of his 42 RBI for the season. Naylor is certainly getting hot at the right time for the playoff-hopeful Guardians, batting .302 over 43 at-bats in the month of September despite hitting a dismal .191 for the campaign.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Guardians' insurance provider

Naylor went 1-for-5 with two RBI in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Tigers. Naylor picked a good time to extend his hit streak to six games, when he stroked a two-out, two-run single in the top of the ninth inning to give the Guardians insurance runs. The catcher, who is batting just .188 this season, has gone 8-for-22 with three doubles, one home run and seven RBI during his six-game streak. Cleveland, which is 2.5 games outside a playoff spot, has won all six games in its fight to sneak into the posteason.

Austin Hedges will serve as Cleveland's catcher in the series opener.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Day off in series finale

Naylor is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Reds. Naylor started each of the previous four contests, so he's earned a breather for Wednesday's matinee. Dom Nunez will start at catcher and bat eighth for Cleveland.

  • Guardians' Bo Naylor: Homers in loss

Naylor went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Reds. The home run was Naylor's ninth in 50 games. Naylor, who hit a home run for a second straight game, may be emerging from a slump. He's gone 5-for-7 with three RBI and four runs in those two contests. This mini eruption comes after a stretch in which the catcher had one hit over 26 at-bats.
