Rocchio started at shortstop and went 0-for-2 in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Cubs.

Rocchio got the start against a left-hander but was removed for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning when a righty reliever entered. He was summoned from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday after the Guardians placed Gabriel Arias (ankle) on the 10-day injured list. Rocchio opened 2025 as the starting shortstop but was sent to the minors May 7 with a .165/.235/.198 line over 35 games. He'll get a chance at redemption for as long as Arias is out, but Rocchio may share shortstop with Daniel Schneemann. The position should be up for grabs, as Cleveland shortstops rank last in average (.183) and OPS (.515).

Caratini went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Tuesday's win over the Rockies.

Caratini helped power the Astros to a win Tuesday with a third-inning grand slam, his seventh home run of the season. The veteran catcher has been hovering around league average at the dish in 2025, slashing .246/.303/.402 with 14 extra-base hits, 23 RBI and a 97 OPS+ in 57 games.

Hader picked up the save Tuesday against the Rockies. He allowed one run on two hits while striking out two over one inning.

The southpaw surrendered a solo shot to Hunter Goodman but still closed out his league-leading 24th save of the season Tuesday. Hader has been dominant in 2025, converting every save opportunity and notching six straight saves in his last six outings. On the year, the veteran closer owns a stellar 1.86 ERA and 0.72 WHIP through 38.2 innings across 37 appearances.

Baz allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out 11 in seven innings Tuesday against the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.

Baz tied his season high in strikeouts and became the first Rays pitcher since Shane McClanahan in 2022 with back-to-back starts of at least seven innings and nine strikeouts. All three runs against him were via the long ball, as Max Muncy hit a two-run shot in the fourth and Shea Langeliers launched a solo blast in the sixth. Baz now has a 20:2 K:BB over his last two outings and is showing incredible command after issuing 11 walks over his previous three starts. He lines up to make his next start on the road against Tigers next week.

Walls went 1-for-2 with a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Walls entered the game in the seventh and led off the eighth with a base knock. He would swipe second but was stranded there with the game tied. Walls has just two hits in his last 19 at-bats and sports a .210 batting average, which is right in line with the low average he's posted throughout his five-year career. His stolen base Tuesday brought him up to 10 for the year and it's now his fourth consecutive season with double-digit thefts.

Miller earned the save Tuesday against the Rays, allowing a walk and no hits while striking out two in a scoreless frame.

Miller had another dominant outing to pick up his second save in as many days against the Rays. He opened with a 102-mph fastball to punch out Brandon Lowe and ended the game with back-to-back sliders to retire Josh Lowe. Miller has now converted three straight saves and has four consecutive scoreless outings since his last blown save June 19.

Burger (oblique) started at first base and went 1-for-3 with a walk in a rehab game for Double-A Frisco on Tuesday.

Burger begin what is expected to be a brief rehab assignment with Frisco and played seven innings in the field. The Rangers plan to activate him in time for Friday's game in San Diego.

Gordon did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against the Rockies. He struck out three.

The left-hander gave up a first-inning homer to Hunter Goodman and went on to allow a season-high nine hits, but he managed to limit the damage enough to help the Astros secure a win Tuesday. Gordon has been steady, if unspectacular, through nine starts this season, posting a 3-1 record with a 4.37 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 45.1 innings.

Springs allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four in 5.1 innings Tuesday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Springs was hurt by the home run ball, with Christopher Morel and Brandon Lowe both taking him deep for solo blasts in the second and third innings, respectively. Springs was otherwise able to limit the damage, though he fell short of a quality start after Junior Caminero knocked him out of the game with a one-out double in the sixth. Springs has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in 11 of 12 starts dating back to the beginning of May, but he has just one win since May 18. Springs is projected to take the mound again next week versus Atlanta.

Osuna started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Orioles.

Osuna cracked his first major-league home run in the fifth inning to extend a Texas lead to 5-2. He's received an uptick in playing time, getting starts in left field against right-handers with Wyatt Langford (oblique) on the 10-day injured list. Langford's return is expected when the minimum stay expires Saturday or soon thereafter. Osuna, who has started six of the last seven games, is 4-for-20 with two extra-base hits, three RBI, two steals and one run scored during that stretch.
