  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Taking seat

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox. Keaschall has slashed a healthy .269/.395/.373 in May following a rough April, though with zero home runs and three steals, the counting stats haven't been really been there. Orlando Arcia will play second base Thursday while Keaschall rests.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Losing playing time

Keaschall is not in Saturday's lineup against the Red Sox. This is the fourth time in the last seven games Keaschall has opened the game on the bench. He is hitting .268 with a .414 OBP, zero home runs and three steals in 18 games this month. Orlando Arcia will man the keystone against lefty Jovani Moran.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Resting Saturday

Keaschall isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Milwaukee. Keaschall will get a chance to rest his legs Saturday after beginning May with a .244/.404/.341 slash line while starting all 13 games this month. While Keaschall sits, Tristan Gray will get the nod at second base and bat eighth.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Getting first day off Thursday

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers. It's the first day off this season for Keaschall, who has reached base five times and driven in four runs in the first three games of the series. Kody Clemens will get the start at second base and slot into the No. 6 spot in the lineup as the Twins go for the sweep.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Swipes second bag

Keaschall went 1-for-5 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Tigers. Keaschall has plated at least one run in three straight games, going 3-for-12 over the first three contests of this week's series against the Tigers. The second baseman is hitting just .208 with a .556 OPS through 53 plate appearances over 12 games this season. He's added two steals, one home run, seven RBI, six runs scored and two doubles. Keaschall hit .302 with an .827 OPS over 49 games across two big-league stints in 2025, so there's some clear potential for him to turn things around. He may still need to adjust to major-league pitching a bit, which will make it tough for him to replicate his ratios from last year, but he has good bat-to-ball skills.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Used as No. 3 hitter

Keaschall went 1-for-4 with a walk in Sunday's loss at Baltimore and is hitting .182 (2-for-11) this season. He's hit third in the batting order in all three games this season. Keaschall may be better suited to hit leadoff in Minnesota's lineup due to his high OBP (.382 last season), but new Twins manager Derek Shelton went with a platoon of Austin Martin and Kody Clemens in the leadoff role to begin the season. While Keaschall played some outfield in spring training, he's only played second base so far this season.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Lands on IL with sprained thumb

The Twins placed Keaschall on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a left thumb sprain. Keaschall suffered the season-ending injury during Tuesday's game against the Rangers while stealing second base. He'll visit with a specialist next week to determine whether surgery is necessary. Even if a procedure is required, Keaschall should be fine by the time spring training rolls around. The rookie finishes his promising first season with a .302/.382/.445 batting line, four home runs and 14 steals over 207 plate appearances.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Out of lineup Wednesday

Keaschall (thumb) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers. Keaschall was removed from Tuesday's game versus Texas after he injured his thumb while stealing second base. With Keaschall out Wednesday, Ryan Fitzgerald is making the start at second base and batting eighth. Keaschall is slashing an impressive .302/.382/.445 with four home runs, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and a 19:29 BB:K across his first 207 big-league plate appearances this season.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Stepping out of lineup

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees. Keaschall will hit the bench after a run of 12 straight starts, during which he batted .320 (16-for-50) with three walks, two doubles, five steals, eight RBI and seven runs. Austin Martin will shift to second base while James Outman receives a start in left field.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Pilfers pair of bases

Keaschall went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 5-1 victory at Kansas City. The Minnesota rookie was credited with a swiping home on double-steal attempt in the sixth to give his team a 4-0 lead. Since returning from a forearm injury Aug. 5, Keaschall has produced like a star for the Twins, batting .313 (36-for-115) with four homers, six steals, 20 RBI and 15 runs scored across 29 contests. Overall, the 23-year-old is now slashing .321/.405/.485 with 11 stolen bases, 22 RBI and 19 runs scored in 153 total plate appearances.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Not in Tuesday's lineup

Keaschall is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the White Sox. The 23-year-old started the previous six games and will receive a day off after posting a .208/.321/.500 slash line with two homers during that span. Austin Martin is receiving a start at second base and batting sixth Tuesday in Keaschall's place.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Exiting starting nine

Keaschall is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Toronto. Keaschall had started every game since coming off the injured list Aug. 5, so he's earned a breather for the series opener versus the Blue Jays. Kody Clemens will replace Keaschall at second base Monday.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Launches walk-off homer

Keaschall went 3-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Royals. Keaschall's second major-league homer was a big one -- he took Carlos Estevez deep the opposite way with two outs in the 11th inning, giving the Twins a two-run, walk-off victory. The 22-year-old Keaschall has been red-hot since rejoining Minnesota earlier this month following an extended stint on the IL with a fractured forearm. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with 10 RBI in five games. The rookie should continue to see regular playing time at second base down the stretch.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Activated from injured list

The Twins reinstated Keaschall (forearm) from the 60-day injured list, and he's starting at second base and batting fifth Tuesday against the Tigers. The rookie second baseman had been sidelined since late April due to a fractured forearm, but he's back on the active roster after a 14-game rehab assignment. Keaschall played in just seven MLB games prior to the injury but had a hot start to his career, going 7-for-19 with three doubles and five steals in 26 plate appearances.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Likely back from IL on Tuesday

Keaschall (forearm) is likely to be activated from the 60-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game in Detroit, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. The Twins elected not to activate Keaschall from the IL this past Friday when he was first eligible. However, he has a locker in the Twins clubhouse at Comerica Park, indicating that Keaschall's activation is imminent. The rookie has been shelved since late April with a fractured right forearm. Keaschall should see something close to everyday playing time over the final two months, perhaps in a super-utility role.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Continuing rehab stint

Keaschall (forearm) won't be reinstated from the 60-day injured list Friday and will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. The Twins have a ton of roster spots to fill coming out of the trade deadline, but Keaschall needs a bit more time in the minors before rejoining the active roster. The 22-year-old served exclusively as a designated hitter during the first week of his rehab assignment, and he'll continue building up his defensive work with St. Paul. Once reinstated, Keaschall should see plenty of playing time following the departures of Carlos Correa (illness), Willi Castro, Harrison Bader and Ty France.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Three hits through three rehab games

Keaschall (forearm) served as a designated hitter in three rehab games for Triple-A St. Paul from Friday through Sunday, going 3-for-12 with three walks, two stolen bases, one run and one RBI. Keaschall took part in his first game action since April 25, when he sustained a fractured right forearm that disrupted what had been an impressive start to his time in the big leagues. The rookie fared well in his return to the field this weekend, but since the Twins still want him to play second base and potentially get exposure to other positions during his time at St. Paul, he's expected to be in store for a lengthier rehab assignment, per Dan Hayes of The Athletic. Keaschall produced a 1.064 OPS in 26 plate appearances in the majors prior to landing on the injured list, and if he continues to rake during his assignment, the Twins will likely find ways to get his bat in the lineup once he's activated.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Poised for rehab assignment

Keaschall (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Keaschall is finally ready to play in games again after suffering a fractured right ulna bone back in late April. Given the long absence, Keaschall's rehab assignment could be fairly lengthy. The rookie went 7-for-19 with three doubles and five steals in his first seven big-league games prior to suffering the injury.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Takes live batting practice

Keaschall (forearm) took batting practice and faced live pitching Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Keaschall will likely soon start playing rehab games. The 22-year-old was given a recovery timeline of two months or more after being diagnosed with a fractured right forearm in late April. He'll likely need a lengthy rehab assignment, so it looks like he could return in late July or early August at this point.

  • Twins' Luke Keaschall: Officially placed on IL

The Twins placed Keaschall (forearm) on the 10-day injured list Saturday. Keaschall suffered a right forearm fracture after getting hit by a pitch in the first inning of Friday's game. The Twins haven't provided a timeline for the 22-year-old's return just yet, but it will likely be several weeks before he's ready to come off the IL.
