Lange has been pulled off his rehab assignment due to mild tightness in his surgically repaired right lat, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Monday that "it's not a setback" with Lange, but "just a delay." Lange has allowed just one run with a 9:1 K:BB over 6.2 rehab innings and seems close to activation from the 60-day injured list, but now his timeline is up in the air.

Meyers (calf) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Guardians.

Meyers tweaked his right calf in Sunday's win over the Dodgers and has now missed two straight starts. He's considered day-to-day, but with an off day looming Thursday, the Astros could choose to hold Meyers out at least until Friday. Taylor Trammell is handling center field and batting ninth Tuesday.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that he has no plans to regularly use LeMahieu at third base, and he views the veteran infielder as a bench bat, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Jazz Chisholm will make the move from third base back to his more natural position at second base, where LeMahieu had been serving as the Yankees' primary starter since returning from the injured list May 13. Though LeMahieu has ample experience at third base, he won't end up taking over for Chisholm at the hot corner, with Boone noting that it's a challenge for the 36-year-old to physically play the position at this stage of his career. Oswald Peraza will draw the nod at third base Tuesday versus the Mariners and looks like the favorite to see the bulk of the starts at that spot for the time being.

The Yankees recalled Beeter from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A on Thursday but is quickly back with the Yankees since Mark Leiter (leg) was placed on the injured list. Beeter allowed three earned runs over 1.2 frames during his lone appearance in the majors this season.

Matthews (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

It's the first time Matthews has faced hitters since he was diagnosed in early June with a moderate subscapularis strain in his right shoulder. If he bounces back well from Tuesday's session, Matthews could be cleared for a rehab assignment. Given that he hasn't pitched in more than a month, the 25-year-old is sure to require at least a couple rehab starts before the Twins consider putting him back into their rotation.

The Yankees placed Leiter on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left fibular head stress fracture.

Per Max Goodman of NJ.com, Leiter felt a pop in his left leg when he was running to cover first base in a game versus the Reds back on June 24. He had made four appearances since then, but testing revealed the stress fracture. It's not clear how long Leiter might be out, but it's likely to be longer than a minimum stay on the IL.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Tuesday that Wells (elbow) will throw a live batting practice session soon, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Wells has been throwing off a mound since early May and is almost ready to face hitters for the first time since undergoing UCL revision and internal brace augmentation surgery on his right elbow June 17, 2024. He is aiming to contribute for the Orioles at some point in the second half.

Rutschman (oblique) took dry swings Tuesday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

The swings were low intensity and he didn't hit a ball, but it's still a step forward for Rutschman. The Orioles will wait to see how he recovers before determining the next step in his rehab. Rutschman has already been ruled out through the All-Star break and, given where he's at in his rehab, it seems unlikely he'll be ready for the first game of the second half.

Brito was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday with a left hamstring strain.

Brito just returned from right thumb surgery less than two weeks ago and now he will be sidelined with a new injury. It's not clear at this point how much time he might miss. Brito has slashed .256/.357/.463 with three homers in 24 games with Columbus this season.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Monday that Sanchez (knee) is likely to be sidelined 8-to-10 weeks, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Sanchez was diagnosed with a moderate PCL sprain in his right knee over the weekend and will be shelved for at least a couple months. The Orioles are also without Adley Rutschman (oblique), Maverick Handley (concussion) and Chadwick Tromp (back), leaving them with Jacob Stallings and Alex Jackson at catcher.
